Hey DJI, you should have shown the video in which you landed it through the RTH mode so we could have been warned that it [the drone] is going to ascend up to 20-50 mts and then land. Why am i saying that? Because the Spark is not able to avoid objects when it's ascending (and flying in reverse), so there might be trees or buildings in general and the spark may got damaged.

What if you don't want to use the iphone and just want to use the re controler and the spark. I have found the software want to register the aircraft over and over and never lets you go straight to the view screen. I have problem when it says that the battery needs update. I say OK but nothing happens. Too, when I start the go pro software, it always want to scan my aircraft number over and over. I cannot trigger the scan window. The books and videos always assumes it all goes well and no trouble shooting is allowed. I have gotten the fool things to fly and it flew well, but repeating the success is never the same. I just wish they would go slow in the videos showing things that can appear on the screen. TOO, I hear the Wire from the RC controler to the iphone is a NO NO and will void the warranty and is not recommended. So, what is the truth?
Hi.. I had recently updated my firmware for the remote controller.... after i reconnect to my spark ... the video doesnt come up on my iphone. However the direct wifi with spark (without remote) shows the video. Help me with this please
I see in this video that you use the drone with no OTG cable. I try for two day to connect and is not working. The phone is connects to RC. The RC is linked to Spark. If i use cable is working, but i cant atach my phone to the remote because is kind of big and the usb connecter hace a real wierd position. Thank you.
Mine absolutely WILL NOT work. As soon as I start the motors, the camera image goes out, and it says “aircraft disconnected “. As soon as I stop the motors (if it will let me), it shows the camera again, and the aircraft is re-connected. I don’t know if an otg cable will help. I can’t find the problem. Been flying only with the mobile app.

I believe that is MODE 3 setting on the spark. The default is MODE 2. DJI has the user manuals for the Spark on their website in .pdf format that you can download.

Besides, the drone is not able to fly in No-fly zone without unlocking. For more details about no fly zone, you can check www.dji.com/flysafe?site=brandsite&from=footer.
i read people losing their drones due to remote issues, no mods all stock, yet with more then 50% battery life the remote alerts a autopilot fly away, does not RETURN TO HOME, disrupts the flight logs showing the aircraft i in perfect condition, perfect day and less then 200m away yet DJI says they can only offer these victims 30% off on another purchased giving them little time to decide. If you buy a car and it drives away due to break issues, motor issues etc and no wrong doing was done on the drivers part before a crash or fall of a cliff is it not the manufactures fault when they dont know what caused it? How can they sell a drone, have all the flight data and not know it was caused by the remote itself, After reading several threads i also realized DJI is tealing with Apple who cyber bullies critics about bugs or issues which 9 out of ten times where all RECALLS., they mock, insulted , gaslighted and even blamed the victims of fly away drones to close the threads, Imagine the threads dating back 5 years with comments until date of more and more pilot horror stories been told its an old issue DJI fixed....you did not get this with the GopRo Karma.. Class Action is the only way to deal with companies that abuse their customers and put the public at risk (which is the reason i personally think DDJI would never admit their remotes are faulty at times)
Bought this drone and was really disappointed! The software had so many glitches it just would not work! So many bugs I just couldn't justify the cost!! I wish I would have seen True tutorials about how bad the software works!

Do you have to calibrate it like the Mavic ? I have looked at a ton of videos on the spark and no one shows calibrating it before the fly.

Hi Paul, landing in sand will likely not destroy the aircraft immediately , though we don't generally recommend it.
