The catch-to-turn-off is a nifty trick. I find that approaching the Spark from the back is better because the Spark's front sensor can make it back away from you as you try to approach it with your hand from the front. You should also mention to not come in from under the Spark too because the bottom sensor will make the Spark ascend away from your hand if you try to catch it from below. So coming in from the back is the best for this trick. I've also started even *launching* the drone from the palm of my hand too! This way, my DJI Spark never touches the ground and doesn't get dirty with dust off dirt or from weeds hitting the blades. I like to "baby" my drones and this little Spark's size is perfect for hand catches & launches. :)
Just a quick tip, your antennas are in the wrong position, they signal comes out of the flat side so you want the flat part facing forward while holding the remote
one flat side points out, one points in. What is important is that you do not point the tips of the antennas towards the drone, but the broad sides, putting the antennas at 45 degree you are always safe
You can also hit both R1+L1 at the same time to emergency stop the motor with your hand underneath to catch it or when you’re near the ground (to prevent damage from freefall) without having to initiate the entire landing sequence which takes a few seconds.
@@manureisdecarvalho I haven't been able to successfully shut off my Spark mid-air using the joysticks. You can do this with a Mavic Pro, but not with a DJI Spark.
You said sport mode off enables the obstacle detection sensors. That is not correct. You can turn off obstacle avoidance or turn it on while you are not in sport mode. It is a setting in the sensors from the menu of the DJI app the on a smart phone. Flying with obstacle avoidance turned on in regular mode (not sport mode), the spark fly at about 6 mph, with obstacle avoidance turned off the spark fly at about 12 mph

I will make a video of my spark soon and would like to re introduce like what you did here. I’m glad I saw this, great help. I just have one question bro, if the spark is in video recording and grab it and turn it side ways to stop the motor, will it save in the SD? Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Just wondering will it lock on to a ball. I was filming my kids and there freinds having a game of rugby and it was difficult to keep up with play. Just curious to know.
Great question Dan! I've found that the smaller objects are harder for drones to track no matter what drone you buy. That would be a really cool video though! Thanks for asking!
Haziq Hazazi 3:37 it say 15:48 min and %93 is the capacity to go. Official statement about dji spark battery life is 13 min and I experienced it 13 min... how come your batteries can last almost 17 mins?

Wulf Claw So glad this video helped you! Yes the Spark has forward sensors but when “Sport Mode” has been turned on, the forward sensor is deactivated so the drone can fly up to 30mph. So be careful around objects! 😆
That's not tricks, more like tutorial which explains Spark's flight mode. Let me give one trick : Using active track trace mode & swipe direction to left / right by 100%, the spark will circle & follow as well when subject moving. That's cinematic shot.
I just started using this track & orbit mode yesterday. Such a sophisticated maneuver! Even a human pilot would have problems doing this. The one thing I found with this mode is you have to move very slowly. I was riding my bike and when I exceeded even 6mph or so and depending on which phase of the orbit the Spark is, you can easily leave it behind and it will throw an error on screen "subject lost - reacquiring". This flight mode does need some optimizations like to calculate the "velocity vector" of the target and factor that into its flight pattern because its too easy for the Spark to overshoot even a simple target that is moving in a straight line at a constant speed.
@@beyondfossil because when using that mode, spark speed are limited just up to 10 km/h. I believe we don't get that issue when using better drone like Mavic 2 Pro which has active track 2.0, better flight simulation & prediction..
Probably because some shots were the screen recording from his phone and some are just grainy from how dark he was filming. Anyways check my vids out and sub to see actual cinematic vids of the spark lol 😁🔥.
Creeper Gaming 739 very good question. Turning on the drone or the remote first has never been an issue that I’ve found. The two link up as soon as both are turned on.
You need to have a more active outdoors life to really enjoy this thing. Get a bicycle, go jogging, travel, go to a company picnic and wow your co-workers with it. Tip: practice all the "quick shots" shown in this video a few times in different scenarios and know how they work best before making a fool of yourself by crashing the DJI Spark into a tree in front of your co-workers. ;-)
Mark Howarth, move the “sport” switch on your DJI remote to your left, tap the “normal mode” icon to the bottom left of your screen, then watch this part of the video: 2:39
STAN Tz you do not need the remote to fly your Spark. The remote is for longer distance and better control. Your Spark will go out about 250’ and then loose the signal.
I have had my spark last 00:17:28 that is the longest flight and it was a cool day low humidity 0 wind and only hovering not moving around there are many factors that play into how long the flight lasts
