Yeah, if your pulling engine from the top might be easier to remove intake manifold to get access to top bell housing bolts....make sure to support front of transmission when you separate them. not exactly sure whats best sometimes you can drop out engine and trans with subframe from bottom then take apart. good luck
I have a 07 srx with 3.6 L 2w drive do they have the same transmission? now I know how to take mine out, the front end of the cts looks just like the front end of my srx. Great video, Thanks
Actually my 07 SRX has the 5L40E 5 speed transmission, just watching this video again getting ready to put my transmission back in this weekend I finally found me a good used transmission I took the pan off and made sure it didn't have any metal shavings in the bottom of it, Thank god it looked good and clean.
Thanks for the video. I liked it, It will help me out a lot.
I think that was the crank position sensor not the knock sensor. Not sure, doesn't matter. Great video. Thank you.

They started using the six speed 6L50E transmission in 2007. So they are different transmission but the removal is very similar .

Great video. ill with that impact.
Code p0700? And p0049 ?? which are cadillac cts 2003 3.2l v6
sure that wasn't a p0749? which is a pressure control solenoid 'a' I think. p0700 is a generic code from ecm. focus on your other code.
Does the 2007 cadillac cts 3.6L have the same transmission? How long does it take to remove and install another transmission?
i believe so that they are the same. it could take 3hrs. to 3 days depending on someones skill level and tool selection.
