Thank you so much for the review! Glad to hear you are enjoying the overall design of the Mystic. I do agree, it would be great if the jimping on top of the flipper tab had more traction, but when using from the side it does seem to work well. That said, the thumbstuds are my favorite opening method either way! Also since you mentioned it, this is actually my third design 😁. My first was the smaller liner lock flipper, the slider Comet. Cheers!
just got mine and at first i panicked thinking it was a front flipper only but tg it had thumb studs cause i hate front flippers myself and i gotta say i absolutely love this knife so super smooth and feels great in hand
Hi redness for the description of the steel just means the steel could be heated up pretty hot before you start the temperate that’s what that means and the reason why they label that is because that type of steel is usually used for drill bits so when you drill through steel or concrete or whatever and it gets warm from the friction, it’s gonna hold it’s hardnessto an incredible heat temperature and still keep its hardness without softening
I'm liking mine. I do wish the jimping was a bit more grabby, but really, I use the thumb studs most of the time anyway. The action is good, and it's comfortable in the hand. I think it's awesome to see Kizer using different premium steels. I have 3V, 4V, 10V, and now Rex45. Very cool!
As far as aesthetics, this is a fantastic looking knife IMO. I’m not concerned with the smoothness of the jimping, as I much prefer to reverse flick to deploy the blade. I’m a big fan of harpoon blades, and I think Paul Munko is off to a great start with Kizer, as the Clairvoyant in titanium is an excellent knife, both aesthetically as well as build quality and function. @PaulMunkoTV I purchased the Comet for my father in law, and he was very impressed. 👍🏼👍🏼
I believe Paul's first knife with Kizer was the Comet, that is still available with either a brass or copper bolster. I have the copper. Knife steel on both is 154CM. I like the deployment on the Comet better than the Clairvoyant, but love the blade on the Clairvoyant. Have a Mystic on the way. Also have a Paul Munko PM2 from Northern Knives on preorder. Yeah, Im kind if a Paul Munko fanboy.

Red hardness is hardness at high heat, i.e. when it is glowing red.
Not sure of the relevance to this vid? 🤔

Fine review. This knife is a winner and I'd buy one but I can't buy all your suggestions ! Thanks.
Nope we have to be selective! It's painful sometimes... 😆🗡️👍
Great review. Really gives my Brian Brown Raptor vibes with a better handle and less than half the price. Im definitely gonna check this one out.
Good choice!
