Wow this is a very rare piece of video and history ...a " proper " passing out parade at the Proper Barracks !! I used to walk through here on my way to school everyday from the Married Quarters in Peninsula Road .....!.
@@iangreenway5580 me and Andy Cooper aren't on the photo. I was a couple of days late off the Summer block leave after final fling due to pneumonia. I was in 3 section Lee Devereux was the section commander. Myself and Ray Ewart went to 3LI after exercise Brave defender when we went to the Isle of Wight with 1RGJ. Passed out 30th August 1985. Lt Col vyvyan CO 1RGJ inspecting officer at our passing out parade. Geoff Bates best recruit.
Anyone know my dad Robert Mcgowan and passed out with him and was in 3rgj with him in Germany etc I would be appreciative to talk to you or see photos I don't have thankyou my dad is my profile pic, I'm so very proud of him and the rest of you sad to see rgj got disbanded into rifles tbh. My dad done a parade display when the Queen came I was in a pushchair but the Queen came over to say hello to me and my mum lol I don't remember it but I have pics from my mum.
I was in casino PLT we passed out after these..in November.. we were the last platoon.. the depo moved to sir John Moore's barricks after us... my next stop was West Belfast...

at 2mns 7 he says STAND FAST CASINO PLATOON so this was the last full passing out at pen bks sorry chaps not pegasus and platoon sjt was on loan for the day as sjt ibboson was away at brecon i know this as i was in casino that year

My 2 brothers passed out on this square 2RGJ BAND ,1979 AND 3RGJ RIFLEMAN 1976 ROBBIE AND BRIAN WILLIAMS RIP ROBBIE
I passed out Feb 1983, We were the 1st Light Infantry and RGJ"s to pass out together.

100% Pegasus Platoon, I was the Platoon Sjt and that is me and my Section Comds with Pegasus Platoon.
