I done 3x7 day stints and a 21 day stint in that cafe when it was the guard house. Gosh it was tough at the Rifle Depot. I just wish I could do it all over again.
The biggest battalion British /Dutch army on Waterloo was the 52nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry. The Buckinghamshire Battalion in The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry was TA and had same banding ma
My dad was RGJ, and said at times it was 180 when they marched. I've been here many times and recommend it. Every school hols a trip to this museum was a must.
There used to be a fella there about 20 odd years ago, Jim I think he was called, possibly ex Irish Guards, greeted you on the way in, anyone remember him?
Proud!
I visited 5 of the the museums (I missed one as it closed before I got to visit) this year and I enjoyed my visit.
