Hello Katie! Thank you for attention. ! This material is called phenolic, it is a hard plastic. That is, I make the decision as follows: If this is a knife, then most often in this case I make a wooden handle. If such an axe as this is plastic because it will often get wet, I will wash it more often.
I'm not. That makes a too dangerous to the wielder. There's a reason you're supposed to grind that off. If it snaps as you are using it, you can get metal shards flying into your body.
Hello sir, thank you for attention. Yes I used a PC power supply. If you're interested here is a full video about hot to make electrolysis . ua-cam.com/video/YHoMsZ5cAWM/v-deo.html
can somebody tell me the pethod of when he puts the clever in the water then clamps those wires on? Ive seen it done with a car battery? I really want to learn this
Yeah, definitely not part of the original design. It would be more uniform and supported if it was. That's just someone using a tool that isn't a hammer like a hammer.
@@jmumm422 if it's gotten that badly out of shape, there are likely stress cracks in there, and trying to reforge those will just damage it more, unfortunately. I'd normally agree as I prefer to save as much material as possible, but only when it actually helps the item in question.
Dear viewers! What kind of restoration do you want to see next? Thank you in advance.
Some tools, like old wrenches, screwdriwers, saws etc.
I've got many of old tools, and would like to restore them, your videos are very helpful :)
@@Tsopni Thank you sir!
Love your stuff, man. I like how you didn’t go all out on this. That hatchet has a ton of character and is perfectly functional.
I like how he cleans the piece, and then oils it and then gives an assessment of the axe and what needs to be done to it.
You certainly do great work my friend
Excellent job 🇬🇧
Very nice.

Nicely done, sir. Let's eat!
Very nice job
very fine, you gave it another life, so many things are just thrown away. This way the axe can serve for another 100 years. Well done sir.
I like your videos on knife restorations
Hello! Thank you so much!
Beautiful work! I especially liked how you decided to add lines to the handle to hide the dents. Well done!
Thank you sir!
Great job 👍
Very good restoration axe 👍👍👍🔥💣👌🏽
My friend, you continue to amaze me on your work and projects. You should be proud of your word. THANKS
Thank you sir! Welcome always!
A beautiful tool brought back to life, great work 👍
Great job. So glad that you kept the original profile. I like the character of the finished product. Looking forward to your next project.
Louis Aziz I said the same thing. It has a ton of character for sure.
Well done my friend. I liked to watch the whole video

Все сделано хорошо, без нареканий. Но у меня осталось чувство, что чего-то не хватает в этом топоре.

Very nice! What is the material called that you used for the handle? How do you decide which handles you make out of wood and which ones you don’t?

InstrucTube Yeah, but it's meat axe. It's not like he is going to chip it on wood blocks.

Hello sir! Thank you! The 2 component paint it's paint for hair.

@@ScrewsAndTools do you mean hair dye?
Yes sir, exactly.

But will it chop a wood chicken? Nice job man.
=))
Damn, they beat the sht out of that thing.
Unless it was designed with the flat back like that.
Big Jay That’s funny, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it was beat on to get through thick bones or something.
Yeah, definitely not part of the original design. It would be more uniform and supported if it was. That's just someone using a tool that isn't a hammer like a hammer.
You really need to grind off that mushrooming for your own safety, unless you don't plan on using the ax for anything.
InstrucTube I think he should heat it up and forge that part back into the correct shape

Maybe actually get something to restore instead of putting a good tool in water to rust
Why did you decide that you wanted to start making these videos?
I love working with metal and wood. I also dream of being a blacksmith, but I can't start doing it yet.

why dont you call that a cleaning and not a restoration you need to complete the job. very poor work,
