Their training plus routinely fighting world class fighters makes their life tough, so when they are just living the normal aspects of life they are calm and at peace. Same goes for most extreme sports people or those with high intensity/dangerous jobs. Met a former Delta Force operator through my Green Beret childhood friend. They’re both so kind you would figure they’d have a hard time even getting into a fight with asshole being physical to them. On the contrary they are in reality challenging themselves to kill the guy in the most efficient and expedient way possible…which I damn near guarantee would be less than 12 seconds 😂

The best thing about being trained is that you have learned to control your fear. The control of fear gives you the confidence to talk people down instead of hurting them. And if it goes bad well, you are still trained.
Because they should be if you have any empathy at all. She responded to a difficult situation with understanding, kindness, and love. That is an example for us all. She is clearly a child of God.

He can interview military personnel because he has the background in sof, but that perspective and experience can transfer over to him speaking with people from other backgrounds. It's way more difficult for a civilian interviewer to really truly speak with government and military people, but I will say it does happen with skilled journalists.

Montana guy here. I never really paid much attention whenever I visited other places across the country, but I do know that the majority of the men in my family are/were between 6' and 6' 4" and built strong. Myself I am 6' 2" 196 pounds. I do not go to the gym, but I have always farmed and worked in construction. I will be 50 in December and I am stronger and built better than I was in my 20's and 30's. Heck just the other day I moved three washing machines and two dryers by myself with no dolly. This was both up and down stairs plus loading into and unloading from my pickup truck. I tip them back grab the bottom with one hand and reach around the side to grab the back with the other and I pick them up to set them in the truck or whatever. I think alot of here are built differently because many, like myself, are quite physical in most everything we do. Of course now about 50% of Montanans moved here from elsewhere so things will change. Anyways, I just thought I would comment. Have a good one.

I had a Sig P232 back in 2002. Really loved that gun. It's a sub-sompact single stack .380 that I could just drop in my pants' pocket and people don't even notice it. I fired it quite a few times at a local inddor range. That was so accurate. I sold it because I also had a Glock 19. Looking back, I think that was a mistake on my part. I also had a P226 which I bought from a friend. I never got to fire that. My one complaint with the 226 is I wear medium size gloves. When I' grip that gun, I have to adjust. It's too big for me.

Yes, it's always a spiritual thing. The Word declares (Ephesians 6) that we "war not against flesh and blood." The demons people carry are "drawn" to you because they see JESUS in you, Gina. I also had a P226 which I bought from a friend. I never got to fire that. My one complaint with the 226 is I wear medium size gloves. When I' grip that gun, I have to adjust. It's too big for me.

As someone who has dealt with dementia in our immediate family, Gina's thoughts on dealing with other forms of mental illness struck a chord for sure. She always comes across as the genuine article, salt of the earth sort. Loved the reaction to the Sig as well, very cool ending to a fine segment of the video. Stay well both of you.

Yes, it's always a spiritual thing. The Word declares (Ephesians 6) that we "war not against flesh and blood." The demons people carry are "drawn" to you because they see JESUS in you, Gina. Most people are oblivious to the spiritual realm and the battle that continually rages around them. I've seen into that realm on a few occasions and it isn't pretty.
But, like Paul says in Ephesians, we need to don the Full Armor of God. Without it, we are underdressed for the occasion ✝️⚔️ 🛡️ 🔥 A soldier, does not step onto a battlefield until he's geared up. We must do the same. Everyday ❤ God bless you, Gina and Shawn! Praying for you!
