The Human Drone Project - Hovering test for the 3rd prototype (03/2021)

Here is the hovering test of the third prototype. Persisting in this project since 2019, I would say that this model includes ALL the lessons learned so far. Finally I have something that seems ready for me to fly from the inside. The big day is coming!

just curious… would 4 of the 150cc rotomax motors get a frame and 145lb person up? I see you have 8! good stuff!

Absolutley not. You need to hover at 50-70% of maximum total thrust.

Thank you. We are now improving some of the "smart" modes of controlling, such as "altitude holding" and "loiter", so we can delegate more flying control to code and less to ourselves during flight (this will make it less susceptible to human errors)
