This is honestly the easiest to follow and most helpful video on chops that I have seen. Watching you go through the steps and hearing the little corrections that need to be made really helped me understand where I am stuck and how to get out of it. Thanks for the great video.
I really like the style of this video. Quickly get to the point, quickly show it on the drums. I find a lot of drum tutorial videos have long intros and bits with talling that I find boring.
Yo Eddie, I miss the good times we had jamming at school. Hope all is well, always brings a smile to my face seeing you drum. If you see this vid and find it helpful, like and sub to this man. Eddie's a very passionate and ambitious musician! Much love from your old school mate, Hope we can do some jams again someday!
Thanks for this... its always been a bit of a mystery why the Gospel guys all seem to have similar fills, but are they sextuplets? Eric Moore plays way too fast to figure it out.
He bro! The concept is the same for sextuplets, it's just a different subdivision! So see it like this, in this video I speak about 16 notes right? 16 notes per bar. With sextuplets it's 6 notes per beat, meaning in a 4/4 beat it's 4x 6 notes = 24 notes in total! You can apply the grouping system to sextuplets and play groupings of 4, 5 ,7 and so on in sextuplets as well. The system is endless man! Hope this makes sense, I can make a video sextuplets as well!
Very nicely presented! You should work on your sound levels though, it's way too silent compared to other videos/commercials on youtube. So crank the volume up a bit in the next one 😉
@@jameschandler7783 sometimes that’s need to explain a certain concept. If that’s not for you, that’s fine of course! I hope it helps other drummers finally understand what’s actually behind all the cool stuff!
