TIME Forgotten Place - Hinchinbrook

I explore some places around Hinchinbrook Island including spending a night moored on Goold Island and also visit Hinchinbrook Harbour to get some fuel, not everything goes to plan.

I live in a state in the US well known for Blue Crabs. We use chicken scraps, fish heads, eels etc. when crab fishing because crabs are scavengers. I think having the tuna still in the can was a deterrent to you catching anything. The first island you went to reminded me of Hawai'i, it was so beautiful, thanks for sharing.

I think you are right, the older and stinker the better, bad tip for Tuna Cans

40 years ago i was a pro fisherman right though the channel. i had up to 100 pots plus barra nets mate, great spot

ive used everything mate, chicken guts, roo, fish frames, beef, canned tuna,,,,, best bait is fish

best place for your pots is in front of a gutter that drains out from the mangroves up close to the mangroves, not out in the middle of the river :)
