HINCHINBROOK ISLAND | Fishing Hinchinbrook Channel.

In the session we hit some of the deep, rocky waters on the inside of Hinchinbrook Island. We head up the picturesque Hinchinbrook Channel with an early morning runout tide and what would be the last morning we saw a sunrise that wasn't shrouded in grey rainy, wet and windy conditions. We manage to bend some rods and well who could complain anyways when you're fishing in this part of the world.

You’ll find they’re huge gt’s and cod, not sharks taking the fingermark.. fished it many times and that’s what they are.. that’s why they aren’t cut clean in half. Have caught some monster GT’s there

Hey mate - try tying uni knots as they’re much stronger than blood knots. Blood knots slip with modern lines. Test it out between a 20lb and you will see that bloods slip as they leave a pig tail on the end of the line. Just something which has helped me catch more fish

Gday Liam, have fished the other side of Haycock on the flats a few times, mainly chasing salmon and Barra. Was this video from the top of the tide into the start of the runout?

I go up to hinchinbrook all the time and head straight out from the marina but I’ve never seen this spot is it down closer to Lucinda or don’t worry if it’s a secret spot??
