I would recommend small - my barn and land is wayyyy more than I would ever actually need. I would start with just 2-3 acres and you absolutely do not need a 2,600-sq-ft barn. I went too big haha!

I am considering the same for my new homestead ranch but the only issue is, I have 15 acres ( some of it open grass land , some of it meadows , some of it heavily wooded , and about 2 acres of stocked Pond). So I might have to get multiple antennas to get good ground coverage. I looked into some rural internet providers but the bandwidth they offer was way too low for my needs. Why get more than ten rurally if there is no business plan, really... you need fuel to get it to market, etc if its rural, also. At the start you always have to prove a business plan on paper to usda
I Spy a Star link antenna in the background! 🧐 how is that working out for ya ?? I am considering the same for my new homestead ranch but the only issue is, I have 15 acres ( some of it open grass land , some of it meadows , some of it heavily wooded , and about 2 acres of stocked Pond). So I might have to get multiple antennas to get good ground coverage. I looked into some rural internet providers but the bandwidth they offer was way too low for my needs. Anyways just trying to see how much that one Star link antenna actually covers.

So I checked out Farm credit, they want 35% down. What do you do if you don't even have that money?
Seller financing, the USDA... I break this down in other vids! And on my substack (linked above)

Township supervisors and assholes can be used interchangeably. Especially in the socialist republic of NY.
Is their way you could share the floor plan for your bando?
I want to build something similar
I actually just shared this on my substack today! open.substack.com/pub/houseofgreen/p/an-insider-look-at-my-amish-barn?r=1nk5ec&
$500 a month to lease 10 acres is too expensive considering you won't be able to get permits for anything as you aren't the owner.
You share a lot of info. Never share your location or town or state. A single woman alone in a farm is not safe.
👍
So Alexandra, how much is your 6.74 acres and Amish barn costing you to pay back?😊
A small raised bed on my balcony is what I can afford, I am 66= years old,3rd floor condo, is it possible to create a garden in it?
