I use texas toast or brioche for my French toast. I use flavored coffee creamer and heavy whipping cream in equal parts with an egg as my custard. Fry it up in a buttered pan. Everyone loves it.

More egg, less than a quarter cup of milk, teaspoon of cinnamon and dash of nutmeg. Works like a charm!

We put 1 piece of fried chicken in the middle of our French toast. We cut the French toast diagonally and then place the one piece of fried chicken in the middle of it. It is delicious. You should try it.
I added Grand Marnier and orange zest to our Christmas morning orange French toast.

I made mine like yours with the exception of brandy. Never use milk but heavy cream!! Custard on a bread! Maple syrup is best from British Columbia.

I grew up on savory French toast without syrup, powdered sugar or anything sweet in it and it was cooked in butter. My mom used a lot more eggs and it was served with lots of butter. It was delicious!! Of course I was a child though. 😂

I added orange liqueur because I forgot my orange and I didn’t have cognac. We’ll see how it tastes.

My French toast is 🔥 and restaurant-quality. I hate soggy French toast, too. I start in a skillet on top of the stove with a ton of butter, but then I pop the whole skillet in a 375 oven and bake it off, checking and flipping for even browning. My preferred bread is Sara Lee Artesano Bread, which is thick cut but drier and more sturdy than most Texas Toasts. (BTW, to keep it dish cheap and affordable ALDIs makes a rip-off version of Sara Lee Artesano for $2.50. It's so good I just call it "French toast bread.")

Oh yes...I've used grape juice before for savory dishes that are normally finished with cognacs. Add a pinch of brown sugar and white grape juice...you're on. Possibly could be even better matched the orange zest.

How sad, anyone knows thicker bread would be better,or just a quick dip with thin bread, waist of time.
That lady talking in the background was so off-putting that I couldn't even finish the episode. Seems like a mean-spirited concept for a show too. I'd hate to be one of the creators of these recipes and see my recipe make it on here
I would have loved to try your recipe, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Plus I think you spend too much time bull sitting. Seriously, people don't have the time or patience for stuff like that. Most likely, they will do exactly what I'm going to do, and that's find another video. One that's quick and straight to the point. Sorry, I'm just keeping it real.
