- Swamp Lake Trail in the Sierra National Forest. This is a trail you want to try at least one time since it's so close to home and provides different terrain and different views through-out! Great 13-miles of off road challenge and natural scenic beauty!
Contrary to what its name implies, Swamp Lake Trail is a high-elevation mountain route climbing to 9,600 feet at one point. Although much of the trail is heavily forested, the scenery is very impressive from high vistas along the route. You pass several excellent fishing lakes, although some require short hikes. The trail can be driven in a day but most people stop and camp along the way. Makes a perfect weekend outing. Large, challenging boulders and steep, hair-raising climbs. Muddy in places. Snow possible in early summer. Modified vehicles need very high ground clearance. Recommend at least one differential locker. For experienced drivers only. Don't go alone. Damage is possible even for the most capable vehicle. Definitely not for stock SUVs.

Awesome footage! And cameras never do justice to what it’s really like wheeling those trails. Swamp Lake is no joke of a destination, props to you all and your team work!
cool video man. That XJ was sick
Love you guys videos. You sure know how to have fun.
@ Ricky S, It is definitely my favorite. We didn't find much trash on our run except for a few cans we picked up near the lake. Some people don't care and that is a huge problem.
That. Was. AWESOME. I need more (Armenian?) friends. :) And to the editor - the music made it - good job dude! This was well put together. You guys look like a tight group. I'm up there all the time but have yet to make this trek.
@David This trail is located in the Sierra National Forest near Shaver Lake

Just got back last night from doing this trail. 13 miles of challenging off-road and beautiful scenery. My only complaint would be the amount of garbage left behind by obvious assholes.....
Good idea pulling on the winch line with your hands, what could go wrong? If you deflate the tires a bit that jeep would climb right up those rocks. Have these guys ever been out 4x4 before? Or is this first time?
That's a synthetic rope winch line and it wasn't attached to anything. The guys we're just helping me with a slight tug as a tow strap. What we do with our hands is our problem. My tires are always at 10 PSI. We've been rock crawling since 2009 and I really appreciate your UA-cam Video offroading expertise.
Howdy--What lake are you at around the 6 minute mark? It looks nicer than most of the other lakes I've seen on this trail. Thanks!
That is Swamp Lake
Were is this trail?
god damn kill the music..
Allister2016 The video is made for our memories, not yours. Don't watch it. Problem solved.
Carrying a Firearm while consuming alcohol is against the law, otherwise nice video.
Thank you
