Duncan Scott (GB)
4x100 Men's Free Relay (2019)

Two complete different swimmers, different strokes styles, different techniques, and both amazing relay anchor legs that we won't ever forget
thanks for the helpful stats!
What does Rt mean? Also, they are pretty tall fellows. Insane.
@@lucaskincanyon7393 Rt stands for Reaction Time
@@ohseanswims7539 a .12 reactiom time? I don't think that's right, especially a 0.04 reaction time. That's beyond the human limits of the body. Unless it's different for a relay start.
@@lucaskincanyon7393 You are absolutely right, those reaction times are only feasible during relay exchanges.
And don't forget Michael Phelps with 23.51 and 24.20 to 47:51 at Beijing. The fastest return of all time.
Many times was crazy during this race
That is absolutely true. His performance was amazing although he turned at 23.31 instead of 23.51. Thanks for the comment!
When u realize if Scott’s reaction time was the same as lezaks, they both would’ve been 46.06
The crazy thing is that Bernard split 21.2 of course it’s from a flyer in a relay but still to feet!
Yeah, he basically could have won the 50 free with that time. If you say the flying start and flipturb cancel out of course.
jesus
Please could you do cielo's 46.91 compared with dressel's 46.96 (maybe throw some other 47.0X swims in there as well😄 please)
with comparable suits, Dressel wins by half a body length.
@@KleinAB absolutely, 0.05 is more than enough for caeleb dressel to be better
Supersuit era was a crazy time. When you could split a 21.5 to the feet and be the second fastest dude in the leg.
It blew my mind that the narrative for that race was how Bernard "tightened up." Dude put up one of the fastest legs he had ever swam. He didn't tighten up. It was that Lezak swam the fastest 100 meters of anybody in goddamn history. It would have been considered inhuman until you actually saw it happen.
@@thomasknapp6434 yeah, to be fair tho, he split 21.27/25.46 which is is insanely unbalanced. If he would have gone out slower he probably could have held on, as you can see him slowing down in the end. When Bernard went 46.94 (which is faster without the flying start) he split 22:35/24.59, which is actually very balanced.
Amazing content! As we're British, that was an awesome swim from Duncan Scott!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Still #1 swimming channel
Imagine Scott in this race with a supersuit
Would’ve gone 45
This is gonna be sick
Nice Video. Keep it going 💪
thanks, appreciate it
Michael Phelps went bonkers when Lezak touched home
This was a great idea for a video
Glad you think so!
Road to 10k
amazing
💪🏻🔥
Please do dressel vs Phelps 100 butterfly
Pls tell me the background musik
I don’t think anything will match up to the Lezak race. Both were incredible swims that deserve a lot of credit and praise. But lezak had the hype of keeping Phelps hopes of 8 golds alive and the Olympic spectators watching and cheering him on. Both great races still
Are you serious? Lezak wore a supersuit. Scott's swim is obviously the superior one. Dethroning the US from the medley relay like that is insane and maybe even historically more significant.
@@verward Nah mate. It's true Scott would've probably gone under 46 had he been wearing a supersuit, but I don't think the significance is greater. Lezak's performance meant that 1: USA regained the olympic throne after 12 years, 2: USA beat the allegedly superior French team (with all the "trash-talking" there had been going on, this was quite significant), and 3: It obviously helped Phelps on his 8-gold winning run. Now, the medley race was, for me, equally exciting but it wasn't quite so significant. It wasn't at the olympics, and there had been no controversy.
Funny thing though, if you look for the race in youtube, it's quite hard to find. Now I wouldn't like to think the USA youtube algorithm has anything to do with it, but it makes one wonder if their prides may have been a little hurt🤭
Lezak is crazy! jajaj
he sure is 💪
What if I told you that Phelps’s second 50 in his lead off leg in the 4x100 in 2008 was faster than both Lezak and Scott’s second 50 in their respective splits here
Why isn't Lezak the world record holder of the 100 m free? In the relays only backstrokers can?
Yes, in relays only backstrokers can as they are the ones who start their race with an 'individual start'. Relay starts or transitions tend to have faster reaction times than the individual ones
