Always love your vids. I've done weddings on and off for the better part of 20 years and I can honestly say that would've hired you for my own. Cheers!
So you finally did it! Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club of DJs who bring our own power to every wedding! Since I started bringing my OUPES battery inverter to all my important gigs, it has already saved my butt on several occasions. Now if I show up to a venue and their power is even the slightest bit sketchy to me, I just use my own with zero worries. Also glad you didn't go with a Jackery. There are so many better and more affordable options today. As usual, you killed it here. I love seeing gig logs where DJs are crushing it with a pair of ev-50s. Great job!!
Rachel, what a great party....I had one last Saturday night with the same energy and like you said at the end of the video that is what it's all about. It's a high that many people don't get to feel as your in charge of the party and when it works, it works. Thank you for sharing this video..
Great gig log and video! Wow thats great thinking for that backup battery pack during any sketchy power situations! Those danny max totems look really interesting -- I'd love to see a video on those and your thoughts!!!
Amazing, thank you! I’ve been wanting to get a power bank, and as a full time DJ in Asheville NC recovering from Helene, I desperately wish I had one, I just haven’t been able to spring for the Jackery. I really like this option , it’s much more affordable & especially as some of the areas I’ve been bringing music to still have no power 3 weeks later, I definitely need to grab one. Thank you for this & all of your videos. Side note, the whole first week when I didn’t have power at home I was charging my phone from my Everse 8 🎉
These are a GREAT option to have. I hope everyone is ok! I know that was one hell of a storm. Isn’t the EVERSE so great! Thanks for checking this out. Best of luck! 🙂
I was thinking about this same concept a few weeks ago. The venue had "sketchy" low power. My Jackery is kind of small, so I wasn't sure if it would be able to keep up. Probably should have done it.
You definitely need to make sure it has enough capacity to power your whole system and not shut down if power peaks. You’ll also need to make sure that it’s charging faster than your drawing. I ran a six hour test at my house so I knew going in. This would be totally fine. It works great just make sure you have a battery bank that can handle the system you have.

Are you still liking your wireless mics for the ceremony? Also, did you consider the DGI product and if so why did you pick the one you have? Thank you ahead of time and GREAT VIDEO!!!
I use my Electro voice RE 3 mic more than anything, but the three weddings that I used the Comica mics were great. I have no experience with DGI. I chose the comical because a few colleagues of mine use them and said they worked out well and I figured for how inexpensive they were I’d give it a shot. As mentioned in another videos, they will work great until they suddenly don’t. You won’t know when that is because there’s no ability to scan with these microphones and that’s the only downside. But they’re fantastic to use in a pinch and have as a back up. Appreciate your time to check out the video. Thanks for stopping by the channel.
I bring a Bluetti EB3 unit with me to every wedding that I do. I use it for wedding ceremonies. I use BOSE S1 Pro Battery powered speakers for ceremony and cocktail hours so I really only plug laptop and microphone systems into it. $199 on Amazon. I usually have 82% to 88% battery power left when I am done using it. So if the power ever goes out I could plug my main system into it for a while if I had to in a pinch. Weddings today are vastly different than 15+ years ago. The need for battery power is quite frequent at most of these weddings venues that weddings occur at these days for the ceremony.
Great video and awesome crowd. Question - Before big battery banks, would you lug around a portable generator for outdoor events or have the venue supply one?
I have a small Honda generator. But would require the venue/client to provide power. I still require this. This battery bank is more for my protection and peace of mind than anything else. I recorded the audio and no dropouts, no interference , and there were 50 sun umbrellas between me and the officiant (it was an extremely hot day) !
When testing them live before the ceremony I noted there is a very slight audio delay (the officiant wouldn't notice the delay), but I believe this helps to avoid feedback from the mics as the gain before feedback is very good. Super happy with the quality, just have to take a leap of faith and try them live now 😁
