    Of all the several brands of power banks I own I wish I owned this particular unit. For me the Pecron E3600LFP checks all the boxes I have been looking for in one power bank. Love the multiple DC input ports. I can use my solar saga 100W panel, my 2- 160W panels, and my 2- 220W bifacial to charge this unit and with some adapters I could use the linx solar panels too . With all the solar panels I can definitely charge this unit in any given solar day while using it.
    Also love the DC outputs. I have found that I get an extra 2 hours of run time using the 5521 5V port when I connect my Dometic CFX3 45qt 12V fridge or my setpower 45Qt fridge as they each use less than 60W to run. Just buy a 5521 adapter with a female 12V cigarette plug for it. Also love the fact that it will actually run a diesel heater whereas many power stations will not. I really really like this unit. Had this video come out a couple of weeks earlier I definitely would have bought it. I just ordered the EG4 inverter and battery to build a diy power bank for fun. Great, great video as always,....thanks for sharing.

      @@robertbryant173 I unpacked it yesterday and right now I am charging via solar (2 x 400 w residential panels) and I'm getting around 550 w input (not the ideal angle). Just another update. It's been charging via solar fine from 8% to 62% at around ~550 Watts. When it reached 62% @11:29 am, the input was only 8 W (86.0v @ 0.1A). You would think that it would not charge properly, but now at 12:03 it shows 97% with an input of 17W (85.3v @ 0.2A). My panels are rated at 400W each, so not even in ideal circumstances this wouldn't have been possible. Basically it was at 1900 Wh at 11:29 am, and it got to 3,010 wh at 12:03. As I finish writing this email it got to 100%. I took screenshots along the way and I will write an email to Pecron and see if there is a software update or something that needs to fix this bug.
      And yes, I changed the ports, both of them showing the same numbers.

    My Pecron experience has been very disappointing. When it worked it was great. About 5 months of use powering a small fridge from solar, it stopped charging. The unit stopped taking a charge from any of the charging ports (AC, solar, DC). My unit (E600LFP) has now been with the company I bought it from for almost 2 months as they try to determine the trouble and repair. My advice would be to get a Bluetti or Ecoflow.

      I actually did have a clip that covered that, but I guess I forgot to include it...but basically, there's a menu option in the Input/Output settings where you can specify the max state of charge when running in UPS mode. Nice for when you want to use it continually in UPS mode without constantly keep the SOC at 100% and stressing the battery cells more than necessary. And then there's another setting for max charge and discharge settings so you could, say, set the max discharge to 20% and the max charge to 90%, and thereby extend the long-term service life.

      Other users must surely also need this capability, but the reviewers never test this functionality.
      If it can not start up and provide AC it serves no purpose, because you have to be there all the time in case the battery drains, in order to turn the AC outlets back on.

    I have a technical question....I'll do my best to try and explain. Do you know if/when you change the charge rate in the app to a lower number say 500watts charging rate you can use a 750w inverter to charge it with a load ALSO being used? The reason I'm asking is because with my AC180 Bluetti I can't change the charge rate, I can only put it in "silent" charge mode which lowers the charging rate to 200 watts, which really slow but also the problem is when I use the unit and there's a draw being used, let's say a heat gun that's pulling 1200 watts then the bypass feature happens so then the inverter I'm using to charge the unit trips because it ups it from 200 watts to whatever I'm drawing from the machine. So what I'm trying to find out is if this Pecron can supply 1500watts to something AND lower the charge rate and charge it from a small inverter at around 500watts? Sorry so long but asking these questions BEFORE I buy a unit is extremely helpful, because I feel I wasted my money on the Bluetti because it doesn't work the way I need it to. Thank you

    Does this unit allow for firmware upgrades via Wi-Fi?
    Also, do you know what kind of cable could be used to transfer power from the Pecron 3600 out of the 12 V 30 amp DC output plug to another power station such as an Ecoflow Delta Pro? Is there such thing as an XT-60 to XT-60 plug?

    I just bought a 3600lfp and 4 solar panels. They haven’t been delivered yet.
    I bought them to supplement my two electric vehicles and a third very soon. If those panels start producing more electricity then I need for the vehicles, is there some battery unit they sell to store the extra electricity ?

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Місяць тому +2

      Seems unlikely that you'll produce more power than you need for your EVs with just 4 solar panels :P But they do have a battery expansion option for this E3600LFP. www.pecron.com/products/pecron-ep3000-expansion-battery-3072wh#ref=110

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Місяць тому

      Yeah it'll be a box with an L14-30R on it, and 2 cables coming off of it that connec to the TT-30R ports on the main units - which would have a sync cable between them (connecting to that RJ45 port on the left side).

      @737smartin yeah since it's a 30A max, they're using the L14-30R. You could get an adapter cable to the L14-50 but you're obviously stuck with the 30A max.

      It should if you use two and the 240 volt converter box. But I would still recommend installing a soft start. Less startup surge helps the compressor last longer and saves energy upon startup.
