Hmm is it me or is he intentionally designed to be like an “anti-rean”? Lol. I liked rean as a character (particularly CS3 onwards, especially hajimari) but I know there was a vocal section of the fanbase that didn’t. Then again, this cast as a whole seems different.

I genuinely cannot wait for the Western release to come out. Not only does the story seem amazing (like all other Trails games) but the gameplay looks fantastic. The trailer is executed perfectly as well. Man, this is gonna be good. Until then sadly, I've gotta abstain from watching the game or reading the wiki about Kuro - I want to tackle this game with a blank slate. In any case, I can't wait for what Falcom's got planned for the Trails series in the future. Props to you Falcom and here's to more Kiseki/Trails!

Personally I just played Reverie with a fan translation using an overlay program, worked really well and the guy did an amazing job on it. The game will be well worth the wait though and I hope you enjoy it whenever you finally do get to play it!

Holy smokes 🔥🔥🔥. Tales of Arise and Kuro no Kiseki will be competing with each other....Combat is very similar but Trails has both turn based and action types. Both should be good games but tales is all budget at this point.🙄

Van's thing is a function of the new Combat Orbments, the "Hollow Core". In theory anyone with the Calvardian orbment he's using (I think it's Xiphos?) can access a similar form - in fact we see an Orange version during this trailer.

ehh not really sure others have unique abilities but thats doesn't mean they're unbeatable or Strongest. Joshua was a former Enforcer, so he was already strong and Estelle having learned from her Dad, one of the best of the best.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought Van gave off Gintoki vibes. Makes me so excited to see his personality and story throughout the game since Gintoki is my favorite MC in all of anime.
Rean was not a bad MC but they focused on him way too much and made everybody else felt like mob characters who just go along with whatever rean says or does. He even outshined his students in CS3 and CS4 when they were suppose to be the main characters and primary focus.
Well Van has most likely more experienced already in his first game of the Calvard arc compared to Rean and maybe even Estelle and Lloyd in their respective arcs, so I won't be surprise if he was already confident in his own conviction. But yeah Personality wise, as much as I still like Rean he still has o lot of anime protagonist trait that can be annoying to a number of people such being too dense etc., but I feel like that not the case with Van or atleast not too much.
I wish Crow was a protagonist in CS. I wish for a "Chad" of the protagonist this time around. And since we have some kind of "law" and "chaos" choices, maybe we will get somehow grey of a MC this time around.
How people keep saying that while somehow justifying saint Lloyd is beyond me quite frankly, at least Rean DOES stuff versus Lloyd whose quite frankly far more flat and even less of involved in the actual plot of his own story/games. I'm glad I actually saw you know, growth from Rean versus how Lloyd who just sat there stagnant like the rock he is.
