Whenever NF release a new entry for this series I'm wondering if I should jump onto the latest one but I never do because I reckon I'll need to start from the beginning and I absolutely can't do that as I don't have the time. But as a passerby to all the Trail-ers (heh) I can't help but notice they amped the fanservice.
I haven't played a Trails game myself but was pretty intrigued with the world of the series, so I searched up playthroughs here on UA-cam and would just scroll to the story scenes. I know die hard fans of the series would say I'm missing out on the development of NPCs but as someone who also didn't feel like they had the time to invest in every single game but thought about getting the latest ones, I'm atleast happy I know the story up until the end of Crossbell. I've bought Cold Steel 1 and 2 and hope now I'll enjoy playing them as much if not more than taking in the story. Would also recommend if you find yourself in the same scenario.

Sharon might be invovled somehow, maybe later, since Oathbreaker and Butterfly already appeared in Kuro.

It'd probably go the double ending route in that case, since they wouldn't bring in a new protagonist only for them to outright die in the first game, plus his eyes seemed clouded over in that scene
I really hope Falcom finally get some budgets to release this game simultaneously worldwide day one. I do not think it need English dub either to make that happen.

It would've been much better if all them were made with in-engine graphics instead so your characters custom appearance was reflected 'cause most people don't wanna see Alphen and Shionne wearing those crappy endgame costumes.

Actually, from what I've heard from others, the action-based gameplay is just a touched-up version of the field attacks from the Erebonia arc.

I was thinking the same thing. Van's is at least caused by an external force (the AI in his Xipha) while McBurn's *is* his true form.
I think maybe it has some connection with gnosis drug(crosbell) gnosis cult has a lot influence on calvard before got destroyed by the alliance.
I was thinking that the blue, red, and yellow demon guys looked similar to McBurn in someway so maybe we might learn more about him from those three.
