I feel like marth brought to max performance should beat puff at max performance. They both are very strategic spacing based characters, but marth has better range. I also don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to high level melee so i may be completely wrong
Marth is consistently placed above Puff in about every single tier list since 2015 Puff has yet to reach their full potential as a character though, in my opinion. In all honesty I think it's closer than most would think.

The risk reward always seems to be in their favor since it feels even more skewed when you try to make a hard read and you die for it. Truth is you have to accept the 50/50 and make the hard read which is when the truth happens. Their weakness becomes prevalent and when you guess right, they die instantly also as well, just in a different way.
@@ferfrancol I’m talking about fundamentals with the archetype. When I was a new fighting game player, I struggled with every archetype at one point. Heavies, grapplers, floaters, boxing, zoners. Struggled with em all. Then we learn and teach how to overcome them. If it helps you relate, yes I struggled with everything.

@@Coolbeans554 because DIing puffs up throw requires you to hold to either side with characters that dashdance and wavedash a lot, and DIing marths fthrow as puff is literally 1 angle (down and away) that gets you out SOMETIMES while 3/4ths of all DIs are pivot tippers. puff has no reason to ever hold down and away in neutral. Do you even play the game lmao
I've always believed the only reason the "Top Players" are even the top players is because not everyone has an opportunity to travel or go to any events. If literally everyone always had an option to participate in tournaments we'd have quite a few new faces in the mix for the top

You can't just fucking travel and play top players ud just get bodied. Youve got to do that stuff and all the other stuff too. Tech practice and match analysis

If you told me I needed to travel to an event, I'd basically only be able to do one in an entire year, if that. I live in an isolated area and can't travel like these players can. There are certainly unknown masters out there that are undiscovered. This guy just proved that.
The government should hand out free unrestricted travel to all slippi players that are among the top 100 Now that'd be a good use of the taxpayers money
