Nate, I learned how to drive In my dad's 2 door 74 caprice. Mine was Maroon with a black Landau roof. It had a 350 2 barrel carb setup. Power steering, but no power brakes. My mom's Delta 88 had power brakes. I definitely learned how to respect the difference. LOL! FYI The Delta had a 3 speed automatic. 77 model year. The first year with an 85 mph speedometer. We all hated that feature on it.
just take it slow and get that beautiful car fixed up it's looking pretty sweet already but you'll take care of those other Minor Details soon and it'll be really beautiful not there today and already but let's say perfect good luck keep up the videos are interested in seeing the progress in the vehicle.
Nice Car. I have a 74 caprice classic. loaded every option. just did a minor restoration. i did spens a lottle coin because i do want the car to look real good. Just Dashes in LA did the dashboard. its expensive but it looks like new. also SMS has all the original Material vinyl material for roof etc..... thes cars are unique and i believe will be soight after as time goes on.
Nice ride. I have a '74 as well with 46,000 miles on it. Silver, white with black interior. Looks like the 2nd page brochure car. Oh the crack in the dash? There is a little joke between '71-'76 Impala/Caprice owners. It's called the GM "Mark Of Excellence". haha
I have pretty much gone through the car I did all the Bodywork put four new tires plus new carpets and it up has a new master cylinder just passed inspection
It has crossed my mind considering I just bought another Chevy Caprice last week if I did consider it, granted sinking 3 Grand into it I probably would ask $7800
Did some pricing on some parts in case you were planning on doing any improvements: You can find the replacement bumper filler panels here.....$493 for all of them, unpainted. Easy enough to primer and paint yourself. www.impalas.com/exterior-trim/bumpers-and-bumper-guards/bumper-filler-panels/ Carpet replacement is cheap: $122.00 - buckskin was the original color of the carpet www.auto-interior.com/chevy14.htm Dash cover:$166 www.ebay.com/itm/1971-76-Chevy-Caprice-ABS-Molded-Plastic-Dashboard-Dash-Cover-Cap-Skin-/231829669852?fits=Model%3ACaprice Would be about $600 to redo the front seat locally around here..
thanks for the info I really appreciate it I'll have to check all the stuff out , I've been searching online but haven't been able to locate the exact rug that went with the car or the dash bord
Dashboards are hard to find uncracked. They make a dash cap for these but the fit is not very good. I recommend using the flexible filler and fixing yours. When you need to color match it-SEM makes a color called "Landau Black". It is a factory match.
I grew up with this!

Beautiful car, Nate. Rides smooth as silk. Show us that giant 454!!
The Delta had Chevy 350 also with a 4bbl carb. Great acceleration from a stop.
