1979 C 60 Chevrolet

That's a really nice truck. I just recently got a 1962 C60 that I'm working on getting road worthy. I'm already using it around the farm. Talk about a useful truck.

Nice 1979 C60 Chevrolet Dump Truck ! I like the way your doing a working restoration on it ! & keeping it looking like it was when new ! The 1st real truck I drove for a living was a 1979 C60 with a 25 foot box on it that had a am-fm radio with a/c , tinted windshield ,power steering & a 350 engine with a 5 speed split axle when it was brand new what a truck ! I'm retired now I drove trucks for 44 years , & I have a 1999 C3500 1 ton dually dump truck with a Heil dump bed on it , & a 350 engine with a auto trans. that I use on my property what a handy piece of equipment to have . Thanks for the video on your truck .

I'm glad your channel was suggested for me. I have a soft spot for C60 dump trucks. My grandfather had one. He made his living with it,and I have a lot of great memories being with him in it during the summer. Thank you for helping with the memories and fixing this one up

Thanks for the comment. We spent 2 days buffing out the original paint to make her shine. I wouldn’t dare paint over it. Not even the BB gun marks in the drivers side door. Thanks again!!!

Sweet looking old Chevy ya got there Mr. Is that a Chevy color? I think I have seen it before on some of the old trucks.
I have a 91 C70 and love it.

Thanks for the comment. I think this was a State of Tennessee truck when it was purchased new. Back in the day all TDOT trucks were this color.

I have the same truck, pretty poor condition. I need a PTO shaft, brake booster and a windshield among many other repairs. Not sure it's worth saving???

Hola, se que es una pregunta bastante tonta, pero como es el rendimiento de uno de gasolina a uno de diésel?
Esque me venden un c60 de gasolina , y el precio a comparación de uno de diésel es bastante más bajo mientras que uno de gasolina en condiciones aceptables me cuesta unos $ 3000 dólares, uno de diésel $5000 dolares😢 aclarando que soy de México y acá la mecánica a gasolina es mucho más barata que la Diesel 😢

Hello and thanks for the question. That’s a tough one to answer. Compared to other diesel engine I have performance is lower but they are larger engines. In short this truck performs ok and does what it’s designed for. The maintenance is much less on this truck compared to diesels.
