- Released in 2002, the F55/N55 is probably the lightest and most compact 35mm AF SLR you can buy. It costs peanuts.

I'm so glad to find your channel!
Thank you 😀
very helpful and quick. sharing pictures from the camera is appreciated. thank you.
You’re welcome. I really love this little camera 😀
this is a very helpful video!! super short and super amazing!! 🎉
Welcome 😀
Thank you! Might get one to accompany my d40!
It’s worth the trouble 😀
Thank you for this! Been shooting on the N55 since April. What lens are you using? Mine came with the kit lens - and I've been looking for additional lenses.
You’re safe with the early AF. The AF-D lenses also give full functionality. AF-S lenses won’t autofocus.
Check out Ken Rockwell’s web site for the most detailed info.
Hi, thanks for this video. I have a Yognuo YG 50mm mount F lense which I use on my digital Nikon D5600 aps-c. Do you think this lense is compatible with this Nikon f55? (the lense has MF or AF option)
Should fit. Autofocus won’t work - you’ll have to focus manually.
I was just gifted this camera but I am just now realizing how ...auto it is! I've never heard of 'exposure compensation' before ever! So you can't play with the ISO on this model at all? Then do you add and subtract 1 via exposure compensation setting when you want to override? Am I understanding that or did that make no sense 🤣
Yes, that’s exactly how I do it. I don’t know why Nikon removed ISO from their compact film cameras.
I also have a Nikon SERIES E lense but what do you mean by "separate meter"? Thanks (((:
Use a hand- held meter, or the myLightMeter app on a smartphone
thanksss@@threeminutepro
great video thank you:) found one on ebay. i have never used cameras before, do you think this would be a great beginner one? Im so excited!
I think this is brilliant for a beginner! The Auto modes are great for getting started. As you learn, you can eventually start using the Manual mode.
@@threeminutepro thank you so much! I bought it now:)
Where can I buy a new one ???
You can't... Nikon stopped manufacturing all their consumer film cameras in 2006, only the top model continued and that finally ended production in 2020
Best you might do is if someone out there has one that was never opened in the last 17-21 years
Been using it's older sibling the n60 (got it for free) and have had great fun with it but I may "upgrade" to this for the matrix metering. I have a lot of fancier cameras, Nikon included, but something like this makes for a great around town camera when I'm not really prepared for what I'm going to shoot
The N60 alsohas matrix metering. I love the F55, as it’s so small.
I have this camera but I’m not too sure how to meter my camera to zero.
Not sure what you mean by meter to zero? Are you referring to zones? For anything complex, you could try using a metering app on your phone, such as myLightMeter.
About the battery
The link to the manual shows this 😀
Wow I just got robbed
How much?
