I began using the kick-start this summer to cold start my Navi. Usually starts on second or third kick, without engaging the choke at all. After it warms up, I use the electric start.
Nice to find local westhouston channel with relatable commentary. Lifelong Houston+ motorcyclist involuntarily retired my being broadsided by a silverado. About to move from h-town to nder the southern cross. I'm subscribed. Keep your britches between the ditches!
@ParanaSlim52 Howdy, neighbor, and sorry to hear about your premature retirement from riding! Texas, and particularly H-town, are NOT motorcycle friendly. The struggle is real, and it never stops. 😉👍 --QM
So I just changed the front wheel on my 2020 Honda super cub I was a little intimidated because I’ve never done it before but in reality it actually wasn’t hard at all. I had trouble finding a video about it, but I found a video with somebody doing a front wheel change on the trail version and the process seems to be exactly the same so that was cool, my tread was almost down to nothing and there were some cracks that were starting to form in the sidewall of the tire and I didn’t like that so I was like nope it’s gotta go
Just picked up a brand new 2024 metallic blue yesterday. LOVE IT. Previously, I owned a 1987 Honda Spree and my experience with a motorcycle was riding a 650 Kawasaki about two blocks once. Love it. Love it love it love it.
I get how you feel, I purchased two orange Navi's here awhile ago, I put on the larger windshield and it made a huge difference in driving them.. I love them.
Today I pickup my 2025 honda adv 160. I took it for out for first 50mile ride. Got to say love i already. Seat could use some improvement. But still needs to be broken in.
Do you still have your ADV? I’m thinking about getting one but I keep seeing fuel pump, key fob and water pump issues come up and it’s scaring me off. I commute over 12k miles a year and need something ultra reliable since I’m quite far from home in the dark usually.
I'm going to buy one of these soon , my scooter dealer in my area went out of business and now if I need a repair on my scooter I'm sol..so I'm going to junk it off and get a Navi at my Honda dealership.
Sorry to hear about your scooter troubles. The Navi is not what I consider to be typical Honda quality, but it's still much better than any of the Chinese/Taiwanese clone scooters. The only complaints that I have about the Navi are the relatively poor fuel economy, small fuel tank, and the finicky carburetor. Many other Navi owners haven't experienced the carburetor issues that I have, so it's hit or miss. Overall, it's a great little scoot for not a lot of money! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@QuasiMotard I bought a wolf blaze 2 150 cc 7yrs ago and it still looks and runs like brand new l take really good care of it. It's in my garage and I have a nice cover I keep over it, I kidd you not for 7 long yrs I have never had to take to the dealer for any repairs. the wolf blaze 2 is the one of top best American Chinese scooters on the market, the scooter is made in China but they have American quality control in the factory. I love the hell out of the bike and when I bought it I had a custom cherry bomb exhaust system put on pipe and all, and it sounds wicked like a mini Harley. I'm going to miss it dearly because no one in my area will work on Chinese scooter, so now I'm forced into getting a Navi because at least I got the dealer to fix any problems down the road if need be.
You know I really like your motorcycle/scooter content. Even your work content. I've been part of the motorcycle world since 1968 and riding since 1972. At a time when people were shocked to see a woman rider. I find it difficult to find a good motorcycle channel so I appreciate your content. But can you keep politics out of it. You know what they say about opinions. And calling people names is juvenile and I think you're better than that. At least I hope so. I'm still riding at 71 and hope to continue for a while anyway, so keep that moto content coming.
Also, I don't care to get in a political spat with you (and I won't cause I like your channel and why ruin a good thing?) but I don't feel it was a coup... Bro was too old to run. Period. I am surprised he made the decision to bow out. I honestly assumed his ego wouldn't allow it but I do agree with your take that his initial post (which also did release in conjunction on other platforms as I saw it on threads at the same time) didn't have the presidential seal... Didn't even think of that until you mentioned it. He was out OUT at that point. Anyways. Love the channel. Love my new Navi. I'll make a video at 100 miles and tag ya in it to let ya know how it's still going but so far, so good. Can't wait to grab a wind screen lol
My Hunter was totaled in a wreck last October ( ua-cam.com/video/TeMytERhXBM/v-deo.html ). I hope to rebuild that bike sometime soon, so that may be a new video series. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Thanks for the feedback! The telemetry data for the heads-up display is recorded by my GoPro Hero11 camera (and my Garmin Zumo GPS when I'm riding with it). The gauge overlay is generated using a third-party program called Telemetry Overlay: goprotelemetryextractor.com/ I stitch everything together with Adobe Premiere Pro to create the final videos. Creating the overlays is a lot of extra work, but I think the end results are worth the effort. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard I"m also glad you do the extra work. Makes the videos much better to see your speed. Love the Navi videos and the 'Breaking the law" segment.
I have the Honda accessory windscreen on my Navi (Honda P/N: 08R70-K74-A00ZA). It seems to block a bit of air pressure on my chest, but it's too small to make much difference in rider comfort. The fit and finish of the mounting bracket is very poor, and I needed to bend EVERY TAB to make it fit... I don't recommend it. A better windscreen would be the National Cycle Deflector 7/8" universal windscreen: amzn.to/4cXHIZB . That screen is larger and would offer a bit more coverage without looking too big on the Navi. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
I'm hoping to dig into my PCX restoration project sometime soon. It's been too hot to sit out in the garage lately, but that project is definitely on my to-do list! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Howdy, Robert! No... I never re-jetted or adjusted the carburetor on my Navi. I have a factory-fresh carb waiting in a box, but I haven't started that project yet. My original plan was to install a wideband O2 sensor in the exhaust so I could gather some stats on the fueling. I could just make rough adjustments and go by feel (and smell), but I wanted it to be a more fancy and scientific process. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
I took a lot of flames and lost a few subscribers for those brief comments. There's no clearer case of "shoot the messenger"... jeez! Everyone is thinking the same thing, but nobody wants to hear it spoken aloud... let alone the real answers behind that question! 😉👍 --QM
Hey, for those of you who are in those cars on that highway you are going pretty damn slow. When the guy riding the Honda Navi is like you guys are going too slow. I’m gonna go in the fast line of pass you and then he does it yeah you guys are a bunch of turtles out there. That’s pretty bad.

Honda needs to change the Navi to fuel injection and just raise the price to cover the extra expense. JMO. I’m done with carburetors.
