Any of you compared with the big prx46 Öhlins ? Hi low compression and rebound… have a set on my shredder 146… skis and skid. might try the fox setup aswell.. new shredder arriving in a couple weeks. .. 24+lb lighter than the prx46”s
You can melt the seals or overheat the oil in the fox air. It takes and lot, but can happen. Your comparison is exactly how I would compare the two. My Ohlins are great for big hits. They do seam to lack travel and the ability to absorb chatter like fox air. They also feel harsher in technical riding. The Ohlins quality and durability is as good as it gets. I think they will be great for spring sends. I would probably go fox air for most mountain riders though. You have to be aggressive to appreciate the Ohlins imo.
The walkers on my xcr sure seem to be pretty plush, I don’t know the difference between mountain and trail sled suspension, probably night and day I’m sure but I have no complaints
Ya I honestly am not sure about any of the trail products! If you like it then stick with it!! I am curious to see how people like those fox dynamix. Curious to see if they will put those in the mountain products!!
For now I'm happy with the double-adjustable Walkers on my Khaos, but I'm way too "simple" of a rider to really put the fancy shocks to good use. I did spring for the ATAC model on the Catalyst that I snow-checked though.
They aren't a bad option at all just depends on riding style and weight in my opinion! You will have to let me know what you think of the ATAC and the Catalyst!! That is super exciting!!
Finally, The trailer is Dirty. Havent heard your opinion on which shock you think is better. But Im going to stay with Fox. Mainly because buy American
Nice camera, nice microphone, nice backdrop, and nice clothes... does this mean you have the qualifications to give snowmobile suspension advice... by the things you say, my opinion is no... youtube sucks because anybody think they are qualified to give advice... go to a suspension shop and talk to someone who actually has EXPERIENCE in snowmobile suspension... I personally endorse Ian @Monster Performance...After this video, I have more questions than answers now...
What do you mean by brand new? Ohlins been around for decades...just not in the North America
Ya I caught that after I posted it I meant in North America my bad

I agree it's almost like a Moto setup vs an enduro setup in the dirt bike world. I agree with you 100%! Thanks for the comment!!

Both are good when there is right simstag. I like fox evol rc3 to front ski shock. Actually fox tubes are better coated than öhlins, works longer.
