Ok, people may be get a bit miffed at me for saying this, but i find that your channel is my safe space in the sea of home decorating content. It is getting increasingly more difficult to find content creators who are as modern, upbeat, and decidedly NOT trying to sell me on a "homemaking" lifestyle whilst at the same time taking me on tours of their homes. I appreciate your professional presentation and the fact that you don't have a agenda to push on your audience. Bravo, Valentina.
I knew the lime wash in your bathroom would be fantastic. I think the ultimate mix is sophistication and being able to put your feet up so this style suits me. Mixing styles is so much fun and makes you concentrate on the styles especially if your area leans more one style than another. Modern is harder to get in my town. I’d add in more greenery. Great video!
You're so right about how your local setting can influence your design. Our home is definitely not the norm in our area but the organic and "rustic" elements help it to feel a bit more like our area.
@@HouseofValentina I found a small modern black and white sphere at a local store which I added to my stationery chest of drawers and I love how it changes up the vignette. It now looks collected and intentional and I look forward to getting more modern pieces. I have a large urn on there with some white flowers with lots of greenery. It was a more classic arrangement but I made it more wild and free and it looks completely different with the same stems. Thanks for the inspiration!

We get asked this question all the time. Our basement is currently unfinished and Jack built me a bunch of metal shelves. I keep it all pretty organized so that I can pull it into either home or a client's home if needed.

Please do a video on how to incorporate different styles in your home. For instance I love modern organic as it has a lot of the farmhouse textural interest without the kitsch. However, I am currently renovating an 1853 Federal style home. How do I keep things traditional and in keeping with the house while at the same time making it feel classic, classy, up to date, and luxurious? What styles blend well and what styles do not (for instance, I feel like '50's modern would not fit in my home, but french provincial elements would, scandinavian elements could also, arts and craft, probably not)?

Do you have any suggestions on flooring? We are in escrow on a home in Arizona and are planning to take out the carpet for my wheelchair. We were thinking of just giving the existing concrete a matte finish. Thoughts? Also, THANK YOU! We've been trying to figure out our style. The home has the beautiful curved thresholds, rounded wall corners, and terracotta roof tiles. My husband jokingly called our style Spoho bc I like Spanish/Mediterranean style and he likes minimalist boho. We both want an organic feel without treading into macrome tapestry territory. The hardest thing about this for me - newer furnished rooms reflect this - but I also love navy - I have jars and vessels from China and also Mediterranean....so I have rooms that go one way or the other...hard to incorporate.
I love navy and cream. They work together beautifully without the sometimes too-high-impact of black and white. I wish more graphic patterns came in navy and white or navy and cream.
Love it. More warmth than I used to see with Modern. Would love to see more options for lighting in this style. I would like to update my stainless steel, but really not sure which way to go.
I do think this is my style but I lean more modern than organic. I like touches of organic but if I add too much then it doesn’t feel like me. I like natural stones but not as much wood.
This screams Athena Calderone and I feel like it's kind of seen everywhere and even if I love it, I got bored of it! And you may say lux is not meant for luxury but I disagree. If you want that lux organic feel, you'll need gorgeous very expensive design pieces.. which most of us can't afford. I've made a 180-degree turn and I'm now loving colours.. I'm having a moment with colourful scandi interiors. For instance, Ditte Reffstrup's home is so fun yet stylish ❤

I would say my style has evolved from a pure MCM into this. I kept my neutral MCM furniture, threw out the loud "pops" of color like orange and chartreuse, brought in some natural elements like ivory clay bowls and nubby cream boucle throw pillows, added a mellow avocado green shade to the floor lamp, and we were good to go.
This is like the 6th or 8th time I've watched this video! LOL It's like Valentina exudes the feelings I have when thinking about design. You are so fortunate, Valentina, that you get to do something every day that gives you such absolute joy. Most people are not that lucky!! I always wanted to be a designer but unfortunately life took me in a different direction and I am now 58 so "times up!" on that which is why I watch all your videos over and over again. Always looking forward to the next one.🥰
Regarding limewash on the interior, does texture have to be removed first? What prep work has to be done underneath? The texture on my walls is not dramatic, but the walls are not smooth. Would the limewash fill it in?
It all depends on the texture. If it resembled the lime wash feel and movement than the two could work well together. Otherwise it would probably need to be removed first.

You can definitely adjust the color palette. I love the idea of bringing in items from abroad, that adds character and items of interest!
