  • Looking at the state of our world, says Dr. Otto Scharmer, it’s plain to see that there’s something wrong with our collective decision-making.
How, then, do we move from just reacting against the issues of the past, toward sensing and actualizing the future that is wanting to emerge? That is the profound question at the heart of this podcast featuring the renowned MIT lecturer, author of Theory U, and contributing faculty member to Sounds True’s Inner MBA® program.

In a bold conversation that speaks directly to both our individual empowerment and the larger societal changes that are becoming increasingly urgent, Tami Simon and Otto Scharmer discuss: the collective sense of depression and disillusion at this time; reframing a fearful cultural narrative to one of hope and possibility; bridging today’s ecological, social, and spiritual divides; ego-system awareness vs. ecosystem awareness and more.

Yes; from contemplative practices like meditation we learn: 'that which you pay attention to increases; that which you withdraw attention from decreases.' Each person can experiment moment to moment in their ordinary daily life with becoming aware of what they are paying attention to--inside themselves--their thoughts. Are my thoughts helping me create a positive daily experience or undermining me? Making a conscious choice to aim one's attention in a certain direction then pours outward into the contact we have with each other and into our decision-making. There are millions of people worldwide who are already in this process of inner transformation. It is an organic process like the healing of individual cells in a body which, when healed, then contribute to the overall health of the whole. This healthy transformation is unstoppable.
