To say Eddie has elite level pressing strength is absolutely accurate. Seeing him strict overhead press the 216 kg with ZERO leg drive, solid lockout, was one of the more impressive feats of strength he did.
If Eddie commited to it when he was at his peak, would of undoubtably broken the RAW PL record...the man is a strength phenom.
yeah its actually insane. Even Brian cant do that.
@@ronaldov09 Agree, I think he would've been a legend in PL for sure, would've held records for decades...I think he was benching 650 without even breaking a sweat when he was 21. We know about his deadlift, and I'm sure his squat was nearly equally elite
Need to see Eddie on the table just for the antics and trash talk 😆
OMG YES lol. Imagine Levan vs. Eddie trash talk...gonna need at least a dozen bodyguards on standby
it's very mechanical and clumsy right now, but you can see Brian's desire to transition and improve his position. It looks like he could blow through people with a top roll already if he had the confidence to continue the movement.
Brian's arm looks like the size of a normal person's waist
I saw him in person at WSM last year. It’s scary how big he is not just height, but girth. His arms were bigger than my body. I felt like lol if he gets good at this. It’s going to be terrifying to see him compete. Imagine not knowing who Brian is and he shows up at a tournament. And you’re going up against him😂
Camera angle
Remember eddie You're closer to the camera
@@youtubeconnollyfamilyif I showed up to a tournament and had to go against Brian that would be awesome. I wonder if he could jump straight to pro class off the bat
@@shawnoconnor8075 it would be awesome, but imagine if you did not know who he was😂 I’m sure he could go straight to pro class. All the stuff he already has advanced him like three years in training. When Devon goes there. I think Devon will just show him like three moves to really master. Brian’s chest is so damn big he can’t do certain stuff on the pad with his elbow. So Devon will have to just show him a few things to master. Once he master it. Holy crap imagine trying to crack Brian’s wrist or getting into a hook with him lol. Look how easily he pinned Eddie. Eddie was sort of bringing back to the middle, and then Brian just said f it, cracked the wrist and pinned him like it was nothing lol.
I’m really excited to see where Brian goes and how develops in arm-wrestling. Could you imagine seeking him on a Kott/EvW card in the future?
Him and engin could have a event in Colorado
I think Brian has met Devon and Lavan. Both staff it would be scary if he came in. Just because of his pure size.
I think Brian is having a training session soon with Devon (Levan Limit) which would be exlent.
Yeah, both of them have said it’s going to happen soon. Can’t wait for that video.
Yes I heard that yesterday as well this will be epic
Whistle theme from Clint Eastwood movie , The good ,The bad , and The ugly . Classic must see
sinful to not watch , rite of passage , lol
One of the best Westerns... but my god that was some piss poor whistling bahaha 🤣
Never forget the whistle tune, classic.
Seen it 1000 times.
@@procrastinator1727 yeah painful to watch, could hardly get more out of tune 🤣
When shaw talked about arm wrestling i got hyped for the side pressure and pressing, now im seeing him use his pronation effectively and im even more hyped.
Just remember Brian, was trying to cut weight in Strong Man because of the way the tournament formats were running.
Brian wasn't even able to down to Levans weight, that is the size difference we're talking here.
Levans Max Bench Press, which is one of his main lifts, was 260kg for 1.
Brian without focusing on his Bench, was doing 240kg+ paused Bench for reps.
Brian grip strength is godly among Strong Man.
Levan might be the king Kong of Arm Wrestling.
But Shaw is a newly Hatched God Zilla
That's a Ron Swanson quality Stache!
At the very end of the video Brian Shaw says that he knows everybody’s going to pick this apart but that he is having fun with it and that he is going to get really strong so that’s a promising sign from him
That was before they started having Yarım wrestling match. Brian said that stuff. It was awesome to hear him say it. He’s taking this very serious.
U should watch the whole video.brian shaw declared that he is gonna get serious in aw.and it looks like he is trying to get eddie interested in it as well
Eddie seems pretty happy with the lifestyle he's got. Cant see him competing in anything now tbh.
@@BlackThunderRCYeah, he retired and been coasting after Colin Bryce gifted him his only win. He'll never go back to where he always was, which is below everyone else. Gotta run with that 1 accomplishment.
I don’t think Eddie will get into it at all, but Brian already is addicted to it. Anyone that watches that full video like yourself and I can tell. Brian said he is having so much fun. Can’t imagine all the practice he is doing behind camera. Can’t wait till Devon goes there and that video comes out. Should happen soon.
It's neat to see them experiment around and start to gather information on a new strength sport. It will be cool to see where they take it.
According to articles I've read it's likely to take around 3 to 5 years to be at professional arm wrestler level and become a pro arm wrestler. But they say some people can do it more quickly or indeed more slowly. So Brian may be able to do it in about 2 years. Who knows.
You're NOT subscribed to Brian UA-cam channel?
Ryan Bowen with that thick beard looks like Stalin 😂😂
his beard looks like Stalins beard, doesnt make it Ryan looking like Stalin.
WHAT YOU GONNA DO BROTHER WHEN BRIAN SHAW COMES FOR YOU
Brian Shaw with a perfected top roll and a few years of arm wrestling specific strength training, and we could see a real beast.
This is Bowens game....😂...just like with schoolboy, it begins....we see what your doing....Bowen vs Shaw KoTT 2025 screenshot this.
So cool to see
Nice one, Ryan.
Ryan! Whats up with overcome ans overpower podcast? Been waiting all day Saturday lol!
Let’s keep in mind that the “Shorter Arm guy” here is 6’3” tall.
Brian is the perfect physical prospect sure, but Eddie might have more of the "I am willing to risk EVERYTHING to win" mentality, which makes me excited for BOTH to get serious about the sport. Everyone sleeps on Eddie's physicality, but he's mostly hanging out with guys that are 6'8" like Brian...Eddie is an absolute freak, don't get that wrong, so don't sleep on the WSM 2017...
These 2 are a class act bloody hilarious 😂😂😂 and his other vids
I saw your reply. Was waiting for this. You’re the man Ryan💪. I believe if Devon teaches Brian like three moves, and he trains those moves for two years he could challenge the Georgian. He has the best grip strength in the world. Strongest man on earth. Massive hands. He already has the attributes that advance him like three years in training for a rookie.
It’s going to be awesome, Brian will attract other beast to the sport as well
@@shawnoconnor8075 yeah, absolutely. Especially the strong men that retire maybe at like 35 years old. Then transition into arm wrestling. That’s a young age to start arm wrestling lol. Big loz already did it to
UA-cam algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... this is y it's awesome when u have people like Derek Smith visiting Brian a year ago. and Eddie was trying to whistle "The good, the bad, and the ugly" catch Derek teaching Brian on his channel here:
youtube.com/@AWDerek Derek Smith. and was also shown in Brian Shaw's channel too. with some AW handles etc in another vid.
i heard Devon might visit Brian soon 🤔
cut and paste comment guy you are truly on every vid of armwrestling
Meanwhile in a land far far away, Hafthor has started arm wrestling his dad.
😂😂😂😂 in his home gym
He would break bryan's arm
I wonder if they could make Brians first match a "celebrity" match against another strongman that is entering the sport or a bodybuilder. My first thought is Big Loz but i dont think loz would.
Also my elbow tendon has popped out of its groove and made a poppimg sound so that's what i automatically assumed it was
I have said the same thing. I just don’t know if Loz would do it. They are good buddies, but I don’t know maybe they would.
Maybe Konstantin Janashia - great strongman and a friend of Levan
I heard that Devon is gunna go spend some time with Brian. Hopefully it goes well. He needs some more professional advice.
Brian is very cerebral and measured with his training. This is a man that LOVES to lift. He needs someone like Ryan, Devon or MMT to show him the various arm wrestling specific exercises so he can establish a baseline and begin making progress. We all know table time is more important for technique, but adapting his existing strength for arm wrestling movements will help him get comfortable with putting maximum effort into his pulls.
I hope Brian Shaw takes the sport seriously and puts in the time to be a great armwrestler. Takes a lot of strength and a LONG time to compete at the highest level. Brian could be a monster after 5-10 years of training. However I have my doubts because he was training with Derek Smith a while back and nothing came of that.
Shaw's strength, frame, and competitive nature give him unlimited potential.
Derek peeled brians wrist open slowly from deep hook. That is not naturally inhumane arm wrestling wrist...
That mustache looks very handsome!
If he gets all that strength to translate and alot of training. Especially since you can see he is about to take it serious and Devon said he will be helping him while he was at east vs west 12. He has no ceiling he makes levan look like a normal person.
Dude hes 6'8" and slimmed down at 400lbs these days lol. Was 440 450 in his strongman days
IF Brian goes all in arm wrestling he will lose lot of his size, since he cannot train seriously anything else besides arm wrestling and few supporting movements like bench
@@ohris7610 he wont lose his height, length, nor will he lose much weight. He weighed 440+lbs for probably about 15 yrs, and has dropped to his current weight of 400lbs by dialing back as a result of retiring from strongman. I dont think hes losing much if any more weight IMHO.
@@mikimiyazakiBrian weighs 374 pounds right now, not 400. He weighed himself on his channel about a month ago
@@Wxpt1010 Yeah about 380. But I think he may have gone up again. I recall thinking Brian looks bigger in recent vids than he did in some vids about 3 months ago. Brian is so used yo being HUGE I don't think he wants to give much away. And he is one of very few people who seems to be able to handle being 400 and still be healthy. He carries 400 better than pretty much anyone.
11:16 this commentary haha - very nice
Eddie set the world record for punching power the day before, and I am pretty sure Brian was training with everyone fav Canadian not to long ago and both could be signed up for an event in 6 months ...
No, he's set to train with Devon in the near future, they just announced it recently.
No - he was training with Derek Smith and something with Devon in the near future
Brian said with this video he expects people who know how to arm wrestle to criticize it, but he said he is having a lot of fun with it right now and he is going to get very good at it so pretty much watch out, he is doing a lot of training behind camera
You trying to be Ron Burgundy or something bro? 😂
Brian vs Levan seems like a legit competition
Fantastic having Nick Offerman break down the video 👏🏻
Armwrestling is such a specialist sport with unique exercise and training. Brians' stregnth is obviously a good starting point, it would be interesting to find out how far up the ladder he is against a pro. Remember some people are simply naturally better at it.
Ryan do you think the "Head butt" is the next big move in armwrestling?👀
Go train one of them, Ryan!
I think with the right education and training, both could compete. Both guys have huge grip strength. And core strength. Its sering if they can transition techniques and power
this is the right armwrestler 👌🏻
Perhaps Armwrestling will make an appearance at the Shaw Classic
It was there last year
Already did but maybe this year Brian will compete in it.
@@justinobrien1097 hopefully Brian competes in it this year. Just wonder who it would be against.
@@youtubeconnollyfamilyLalas 👍
@@justinobrien1097 I only watched the livestream of The Strongestman on Earth. Did they do one for Armwrestling ?
beauitful
Brian would be a force to reckon with if he continues to seriously train. He's smart, and he goes all in when he starts to learn.
Try to record at higher volumes, you're a bit low. Good content!
I think Brian just prolonged the match by trying something new. Thats what I would do.
epic stache.
Brian is far stronger than Eddie too. Sure, Eddie is still strong...but he hasn't really trained and definitely hasn't competed since his friend Colin Bryce gifted him a WSM win (his only notable strongman win) and then he retired since he'd never win anything without help again.
Brian has been steadily training and still doing strongman competitions, so I'm sure he's vastly stronger at this point.
The only thing you should focus on is that rematch with Khalid
Someone you need to be covering is Leonidas. He has a more powerful wrist than long time pullers, and has made massive strides while making 99% less noise than Larry Wheels, although he has very few tools in his toolkit. Another guy who SHOULD be in arm wrestling is Kyriakos Grizzly. he has a more "all round" brute force than polished strongmen and a freakish wrist and hand.
Leonidas is all right, but he needs to beat super heavy inside top50 before he can be taken seriously. Schoolboy overpowered him in first round and schoolboy is not even close to elite.
@@ohris7610 agreed. he overrelies on his bicep and refuses to do anything else
@@ohris7610isn't Derek Smith or tugboat in top 50? I think Leonidas can beat one or both of them
I think Eddie would really benefit from some table time with you. I think you could coach him well. And Brian, the potential is scary there, with some solid work, he could really be a force. His grip is solid, bicep and back strength would be unmatched, so really once he learns the techniques, and strengthens those small muscles which make arm wrestlers different, he could be amazing. And if he really gets into it, his work ethic is 2nd to none. 💪
Brian is one of THE most dedicated and diciplined atlethes out there.
When he sets his mind on doing something, he will give it his all.
Woold be cool if Eddie tags along with this, he will absolutely also give it his best.
Just to try to best Brian.
Brian's arm looks as big as Eddie's entire body on the other side of the table
Brian Shaw could be a good armwrestler, if he started like 20 years ago...
For people saying Brian won’t dominate from the start, it only took Paul linn a few years to end up on the world stage and his first comp he won his pro class if I remember right, it may take Brian a few years but once he learns what kind of puller he is he’s gonna be a force
Brian wont stick with it long enough lol. Once he starts getting flashed by serious third tier pullers he will move to another youtube pursuit.
@@user-sr2mh3bh5w it’s a possibility for sure
Shaw could dominate 99% of the armwrestling world in less than a year of training imo
No chance
keep smokin the weed son
😂😂😂
You know nothing about arm wrestling
There is no way 😭😂😂😂😂.. he won't be able to beat a 70kg guy if he train for 1 year
I love that everyone sleeps on Eddie and only talks about Brian. Maybe it will fire him up like when people were sleeping on him in strongman
I'm sure he could come good if he chose to. It's just his base level instincts are quite dangerous and misguided. He doesn't have fluidity built in
@@ryanbluebowen Very true. I like that Ed is very confident in himself and likes to do things his own way with his own style (like with his boxing technique, which for better or for worse was at least very exciting lol). But here, just to keep him from hurting himself, might be best to let the pros teach him up a bit before he dives in and develops his own style. Can't wait for you to collab with him and coach him up a bit! We need established figures in the sport like yourself to entice these guys to get committed to taking down that goliath at the top!
Powerful moustache Mr Bowen
If he started competing he will be ig in top20/25
Brian is huge
Riekerd vs Eddie!!!
Captain price?
I image both these guys have would have extremely high back pressure if they knew how arm wrestling techniques worked and could apply them.
look at brian's arms.. those are levan size. He just needs to learn how to utilize the right muscle groups for arm wrestling
You should train with Brian he would improve very quickly!
Brian is 42. Takes many years to train tendons and strength in his arm. He is way way to old for that now
Would love to see Brian get proper training. He would be a real contender .
This would be a good match to hype the sport. You maybe Larry, Devon and Michael Todd start training these giants. 💪
I think Eddie has a detached long head of the bicep of his right arm; wouldn't this massively restrict his ability to perform at a high level with his right arm? Wouldn't he be better off concentrating on his left arm when it comes to arm-wrestling?
have you seen the clip of Brian and Eddie arm wrestling I think a year ago and Brian just head butted Eddie at the table out of nowhere 🤣
I Like this mustage 👍
You have quite the voice
And this is a slimmed downed Brian Shaw at his peak he was over 425lb
Devon is going to be training brian in the near future
dude blue, it would be epic if you juice up and destroy schoolboy, then have another high profile match and climb the ranks. the money and the hype would be huuuuge
I mean we talk about Brian being the bigger, stronger man here but Eddie (in his absolute peak vs Brians peak) has him beat in both deadlift and shoulder press strength. Its pretty wild.
In an armwrestling sense Brian has far superior stsrt point.
Eddie has a natural high table IQ.
You say Eddie hasn’t the right tributes but Eddie is very similar size to levan
no, not even close. Levan wrist and forearm is genetically out of this world. Even Brian has smaller wrist than Levan has
@@ohris7610Have you seen pictures of him when he was younger, seems he is not so gifted genetically as we thought
@@Hhhlll7778 Sure, and Brian "back then and skinny", would look "even more ordinary". That wrist of Levan is definitely solidly over 8 inches there, and the guy was a noodle. The fists are huge for a young soccer player that he was back then. Brian is super far from Levan, and Eddie is not "the strongman", when it comes to hand strength. Ed´s hands are pretty ordinary. Sure he is plenty strong, but there is an untold number of labourers that would smoke him in hand and finger endurance and strength. Strongmen have good wrist flexion and a solid grip, but few have "crazy" hand strength for real.
As crazy as it might sound, it is a based fact, that they lack the training history of many labourers. IDK if you remember, or know of Mike Burke, but he was a SM competitor and an Arnolds strongman Classic podium finisher. He was about 330 at 6´6", but he had hands that he used since pretty young for work.
They were about as big as Brians, but better developed and thicker. He always had better grip than Brian.
He was kind of "by far" the one who came the closest to simlutaneously cleaning 2 "inch dumbells" (172lbs with 2 and 3/8 in handle) at once.
Brian could take them quite high, but Only Mike was "just missing" the turnover, while Brian could just not make them turn "at all".
Mike was the strongman grip guy with Felix some 12-10 yrs back. He also was extremely consistent on farmers, as his hands were just tougher than Brian´s. People that shook their hands(big guys themselves), have said that Brian sure was big and strong, but as far as overall rigidity and heft, Mike had him beat. Burke was a tad better at grippers aswell, not just thick bar. Mike was like Layne Snook, but Mike´s hands are a bit longer than Snook´s. Before Khaled Jashell, the big handed mechanic from Cameroon, Snook was deemed the best thick bar lifter in the world. There are stronger guys out there still. Brian can just lift the Millenium dumbell pretty well, that one is also 2 and 3/8in, but weighs some 230lbs, while Jashell was just grabbing it, and doing repetitions with not long a pause inbetween. His reps were with way more authority than Brian´s.
Brian sure is strong, but even if he did come and lift the inch "back then" as a basketball player, it is important to understand that is not quite that crazy a feat for a guy with solid big hands. There are guys out there throwing hay around and whatnot and they are good for CoC 3.5 both hands, and some can definitely smash the 4 on both aswell. They just aren´t known.
Devon teaching him posting toproll Brian’s world will change lol.
Shaw just after levan and he might be one of the guys to give him a problem but i doubt it lol
how on earth can be give trouble to Levan? You can't beat pinnacle of the sport by lifting rocks
Man... Moustache? Bleah ..
Want Devon to react to the vid...
Ive never followed brian shaw
He appears massive… whats his height?
6'8
All this time Brian quit doing UA-cam full time for a "job" I didn't realize it was 70s porn. 😂
i love how u want to show eddie and instead of brian, smart since devon is behind brian already
Brian Shaw vs Levan Saganashvile 🚨🚨🚨 2025
No brian lose
Problem here is lack of knowledge on how to pull INCORRECTLY (and avoid)
Especially Eddie messing about.
They are BOTH too strong and there's a high chance of injury due to poor technique.
They both need to get hours of maybe 20% power and rort movement, (correctly) under their belts.
and should have an armwrestler on hand to coach (control them)
Stashhhh
Thor vs Brian 2025
What I'd like to see is Brian training with Devon. That's what brian needs, the knowledge of Devon. He needs time to strengthen specific muscles, and knowledge and of course table time.
This month sometime Devon is paying Brian a visit apparently.
Devon spose to train w brian, tht will be great!
Even if Brian decides to commit to armwrestling full time, I think it'll still take him at least a couple of years before he's ready to compete against the elite superheavyweights.
won't be enough. Elite is elite for a reason. You just don't hop in and beat elites in 2 years... Maybe some regular heavy weights but not elite
@@ohris7610 Mind you, I said "at least" a couple of years.
Nooo i want your beard back
Brian could've top rolled both Eddie's arms at once there, Brian's height and hand strength and size is so ridiculous
Ehhh, his hands aren't crazy big. Bigger than average for his height but not freakish
Did Ry become a cop?!
You arm wrestlers need to train Brian Shaw..To beat Levan
