I think that snow driving can be the most enjoyable experience for most 4x4 owners. That, and driving through the country in fall/autumn with a heavy foliage and leaf coating! Excellent video!
My 2 wheel drive Ranger got around well last winter with four off road tires and weight in the bed. The few times I got stuck going forward I was able to back it out. I look forward to putting them back on my Ranger when the first snow is forecast.
Aww man, I came for the blizzard-like conditions, but most definitely stayed for the big band/swing music. Purely Awesomeness! Even the classical you were playing.
BFD, I drove my '71 GMC K2500 through over 4' of fresh powder in Lake Tahoe back in the winter of '92-'93, Pulled about a dozen fools out of the snow that day. Biggest mistake I ever made was letting than truck go, it was a beast !!
There was a drive in movie theater there years ago. I used to plow the stop&shop parking lot back in 1980 when it was first built. Good video like seeing the old stomping grounds.
Meeh..wouldn't know cold weather package auto start kicks on the heat seats steering wheel def...ahhhhh no cold azz rides waiting for it to get warm...mwahahaha
it's nice driving a wrangler to extreme weather conditions because you know you are driving something that was build to manage everything nature can throw to it
+12Achilleas really? really? Uh I have seen Jeep wranglers on the side of the road during snow storms and even after the storm ended while those with fwd pass them by laughing. Its not WHAT you drive its HOW you drive it. Last year i was driving a 2005 fwd chevy malibu during one of the worst winters here in NY and never had any problems. I now of course own a 2014 4x4 Jeep Compass Sport
+Jack Haynes Who the fuck buys a jeep with 2wd? It's not the Wrangler's ability to handle the elements, it's the dumbass driver who buys a 2wd off road vehicle... What a joke. If you say it's how you drive it, then with a good driver the Wrangler should be able to handle anything. You are just full of fallacies.
was glad to see its a TJ.....a YJ ( for un known reasons ) is not as sure footed. I think its the lief spring suspension on the YJ. Ive owned both, and in Michigan, my TJ eats snow,
I have so many memories from last winter in my wj, including pulling out a state trooper in his crown vic that had been spun into a show bank off the of ramp
So lucky that you guys get the snow and I don't....! I live here in Vancouver B.C. and we don't really get snow except we get lots of rain and sunshine.
This reminds me, need to make "Epic Snow Mix" for the 32GB memory key in my JKUR for this coming winter, and include some big band & orchestral stuff other than just Wagner. ;-) Also, like the comments on other drivers fox-pauses or faux-pas, I do the same myself. Some people think of stuff like that as 'road rage', but really venting it like that is more of a diffuser/outlet than anything else. Always good to see another practitioner at work, especially if it's behind the wheel of a Wrangler playing King of the Road in the snow. ;-)
KnightShadey no problem ;) And yes...in this neck of the woods...if you own a wrangler..(and know what your doing) you really are KING OF THE ROAD! :) Part of the fun.
Great video! One thing alot of people with 4 wd dont understand is sure they go through snow great but they stop like everything else. Especially on ice.
I had to drive home to Canton, MA from Taunton, MA in the driving ban unfortunately in my fwd 2001 Ford Escort. Bought a 2010 Ford Fusion in March, and just put snow tires on it. I learned my lesson lol
+NYRIKAN I believe that people who drive during driving bans are just stupid. Last winter I was driving my plow truck through the driving ban because I was allowed to. And I saw many stuck vehicles ALL of them were NOT supposed to be driving. The town plow trucks started avoiding many side roads and only plowing main roads so many people were getting stuck and were not visible. I almost hit a few cars that got buried by snow drifts and in fact I did hit 1 but it was towed by the town police towing about 20 minutes later once i had finished plowing that section and was heading back. NO fines were issued to me but I wish that I was able to get some money because it bent the shit out of my plow (ended up costing me about $600 for repairs). Just my 2 cents
+NYRIKAN ok seriously first of all I know the local PD/Cops and they know I dont mess aroud in weather and just film..and help stuck drivers..second I dont always drive in a bad...sometimes its just too much of a mess/bad day even for me. Third I used to drive for a living (usps) and I grew up/live in NE so I know how to drive in snow.....so seriously? If your comment was being sarcastic and you your self have fun in them than sorry - lol and I raise my glass to ya ;)

I have an 89 2wd Bronco 2, and when we got alittle snow (Seattle, the most I saw was 4-6"), I used the bronco, and because I have decent size tires and it is so light, I didn't have any trouble what so ever.
+chinale17 indeed. I just wish more people would be smart when it comes to winter driving. "I have 4x4 I can go 55mph in 4" of snow"..............idiots lol
AGAIN - A. The point of going out in the snow is to have fun B. Help people who are stuck C. Have fun D. I know how to drive in snow as I grew up in it and E. get some footage ;) I get pissed at certain people yes - those that are clearly not in a 4x4 vehicle with inches of snow on the main roads..and feet in/on others.
+CashDayYoung its true - I mean I love my jeep but seriously..some people should NOT be on the road in these conditions. Too little ground clearance and no traction = blocking roadways and just general panic = bad times lol
I would have took out the 4wd pickup in the drive if I really needed to go somewhere. My jeep is fun and will go pretty far but the weight limits things in deep snow.
i so love your jeep, I'm getting a 2016 wrangler sport. I have always loved jeeps. just a question is it in 4 wheel high or low right now? looks like high
that storm hit us here in west Virginia and I didn't have the jeep then, so I had to drive my wifes awd traverse 2016 and it did well. but I know the jeep will do better, plus its mine
@5:04. Hilarious. When I see people out in nasty weather, I have to ask two questions instead of jumping to conclusions. You mentioned one, the other, maybe they are a better driver then you give them credit for LOL.
People can drive if they want to, if they get stuck it's their problem, not yours. It's not because you drive a jeep it means the road belongs to you, and that other drivers are stupid because they don't own a jeep. Driving during a snow storm is about fun, not about who can and can not use the road.
rocker85675 In the video he says ''look at this guy going way too fast'', implying he doesn't have a jeep, and that he doesn't deserve to be on the road because he isn't driving a jeep.
Al G Had it been a jeep I'm sure he wouldn't have commented on how other people drive. If there is one thing I love about winter is being able to drive on snow, even if I don't have a jeep, or a 4x4/awd car.
+Fake appellation It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a jeep guy simply put the vehicle was going to fast and is not meant for the conditions that it was driving in. Don't assume anything especially when it comes to me.
I don't think I own the road guy... I simply drive a vehicle that is meant to drive in the elements that I was driving in when I passed cars in minivans I know that there are endangering others and themselves giving it their vehicle is not meant to handle bad conditions like I was driving in in this video.
Ain’t nothing wrong with driving a car in the snow if you have really good winter tires. I have seen trucks stuck and cars rolling by them because guys with awd don’t think they need winter tires.

LOL... This guy is a true Jeep guy... LOL...
I agree, and no better than any other 4x4, I've owned a cj5, a Cherokee, Nissan King cab, 2 Isuzu Troopers, and a Chevy Blazer, so far I enjoyed the Nissan and Troopers the most fun and took me every place my jeeps did my Chevy will be well tested.
272 people disliked this video which I don;t understand. The video is exactly what the title says it is, driving a Jeep in a winter storm. What the hell were they expecting to see?
+Jon Doe We do it to piss you guys off. I have owned a truck my whole life and have never gone without 4-wheel_drive. I will drive as fast as i want in the snow.
William Ellison I have always drived and owned a 4x4 truck. It is the people who fly around in the snow and ice and end up hitting someone because they couldn't stop.
Jon Doe Yeah, that happens, but it doesn't make them bad people or driver. Some people just sometimes forget or they don't know the limitations of their vehicle. I switched trucks and bought a ford, and I was down town a few winters ago and where i'm from the red lights are close together (I don't go downtown to often). I ended up runing a red light and couldn't stop and I clipped the backend of a city bus. I was only going around 15mph. Whether your driving slow or fast these things still happen. I would also suggest not going from a GMC to a ford. They drive and ride a lot different. Stick with what you know.
Some people call me crazy but this is the weather i enjoy most driving my 4WD in! I don't have a jeep but fun none the less!
sirtubemaster indeed! Subscribe for more snow videos this winter and jeep stuff too ;)

Smart hiding spot for brush. That much snow, please check/clear the exhaust before attempting to start. Finally, word of caution, don't crowd a plow.
