- Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is literally the longest movie title I have ever seen, I couldn't even fit the whole thing in the title of this video lol. But we enjoyed the hell out of this movie, haven't laughed this hard in quite a long time and the references to the movies we've watched were hilarious!

Fun Fact: the dude that played Tray's father is Lahmard Tate, his brother is Larenz Tate who played O-Dog in Menace II Society
They Gotta do The Wood Next
@@malikwilson7387 The Wood was aiight
@@malikwilson7387 yesss
Larenz also plays councilman Rahsad in *Power* .
Miserable fact: Your fact isn't fun and brings no joy to anybody.
at one time the wayans family were putting out so many comedy classics it felt like it would never end, like they were just here to stay.
Haunted house 2 was their last ever good movie
Higher Learning and Dead Presidents
Yeah tbh after white chicks I wasnt a big fan of the rest like 50 shades of black & dance flick werent as funny
Senseless, The Sixth Man, Major Payne, Mo' Money, Strictly Business
@@tommygunn1671 Little Man and Dance Flick were the last films they did as brothers. Keenan, Shawn and Damon are somewhat semi-retired, only working once in a while when they feel like it. Marlon is the only Wayans from that generation that does movies now. Damon Wayans Jr is everywhere though, he's hilarious.
The joke about his dad being young came from the joke people made back when Boyz in the Hood came out... people said the Cuba Gooding Jr looked older than Larry Fishburn
In real life they are only 6 years apart ! Lol
Back in those days, women in the hood were having kids before the age of 20.
Lawrence
@@Shin90x He used to go by Larry back in the day
@@Cyborganna thanks for the info
"Is that milk" and "He's gonna make a cake" has to be the rarest case of being right and wrong at the same time 😂
Lol
It was so innocent of them. They had no idea
Lmao that was adorable
Dawg I was like bless their innocent hearts overlooking the innuendo of the joke 🤣😂😂
It wasn't milk?
This movie was always funny to me but now I understand its importance. It says what alot of us as black people thought. "Ok these hood movies are becoming a bit too stereotypical as far as the narrative of people who live in the hood". The Wayans brothers understood that immediately and put the parody out.
Great point!
Facts
That would make sense if they didn’t go and make a parody of every movie genre. If we’re being realistic, all the stereotypes in this movie are still around today. People haven’t changed that much since the 90’s
This movie always makes me laugh out loud. Love to the Wayans.
@@JohnDee633 that's the point it's cultural satire Americans have a culture and different ethnic groups in America has a culture if I went to let's say India and did a comedy satire based on a culture there won't much change it is probably still be relatively realistic 20 years later ..
The scene where they drop their friend off at college is from a movie called Higher Learning. It has Lawrence Fishburne, Tyra Banks, Regina King, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes and Michael Rappaport in it. It's a 90's movie.
*Laurence
Yeah a truly terrible movie, it had such good intentions but just came off overly worthy and patronising from start to finish, not to mention unrealistic and held up by anti white propagandism.
Yes, I saw that film. It was the third feature film by John Singleton after Boyz in the Hood and Poetic Justice, which is also spoofed in this film. Released in early 1995,
A Low Down Dirty Shame, Undercover Brother, and Jackie Brown are good movies to watch.
I would love if they they did a low down dirty shame they gotta do The Wood next
👏👏👏Low down dirty shame... wow! Thats taking me back, way back. Loved that movie
Dead Presidents too
OMG I havent heard about this movie or seen ANYONE reference it since I was a child . the memories holy shit
Please don't forget BLACK DYNAMITE!
Some of the movies they roasted in here that I don't think y'all watched: Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Dead Presidents and South Central.
Definitely gotta check those out to fill in the gaps!
They should’ve watched them movies first
@@jaycdayoungin true you have to in a parody so it makes complete sense
I don't think they seen Poetic Justice because they don't say too much when ever the scenes that reference it comes up. Someone should tell them to watch it. Just say Pac is in it.........that alone should gain their interest.
Also I don't think they seen Higher Learning.
@@marleyex2695 cant forget South Central
Fun fact: Ashtray’s driving instructor was the gang leader that gave Ricky his football back in Boyz N The Hood and he was a gang member in the movie South Central.
I didn't know ow that. Thank you.
I am so glad you guys are watching these movies. You need to see "Dead Presidents," a 1995 film starring Larenz Tate and Chris Tucker.
Def need to do dead presidents. I lowkey don’t like this movie that movie. I feel like it ruined a lot of classics trying to spoof. Mainly boys in the hood and menace to society. Wasn’t really feeling it too extra. DEAD PRESIDENTS definitely a must see tho.
@@CheesiestCheesehead oh wow
Yes Dead Presidents is a must for them
Dead presidents is one of my favorite movies of all time!
And grandma from the trash who blasted them fools lol
Also if you notice every time Keenan showed up as the mailman and said "Message", it was to show that what was just said is a message/learning moment.
I didnt get that until i got older and the part where he say, "WTF is this n**** talkin bout"
This movie is so much better as a 37yo than it was as a suburban white early teen with no context the first (and, until after watching this reaction) only time seeing it.
It's brilliant.
Grandma is hands down my favorite character lol
I suggest either House Party or The Wood. Two relatively wholesome hood movies.
I hadn't watched House Party since it came out on video. Has it aged well?
The wood!!! Omg
Gotta do class act first
Yes the wood or players club should be next
THE WOOOD
Thin line between love and hate , the wood, and bringing down the house next!!!
Yeah they gotta do the wood.
Oooh boy the wood the most underrated movie
Or waist deep
Or Malibu’s most wanted too
Yesss thin line between love and hate 🤣🤣
The Omar Epps college scene is a play off of Higher Learning. It's a must see movie. Its very relevant to today's society and heavy.
Such a good movie.
Yo when Shawn says “eew get outta here man” shit used to crack me up 😂 still does
"EWL" 😂 I say it just like he did til this day
I swear!! Omg 😂😂😂😂😂
The way he say "eww" LMAO
LMAOOO SAME 🤣
he always says "ewl" in every movie/tv show, it cracks me up too!
The joke about the dad is from Boys in the Hood. During the movie, there are a few references to Furious being a young dad. When Tre says his dad is old, Furious tells Tre he’s only 17 years older. This movie took that to the extreme & I loved it 😂 One of the best parody movies out there.
And yet furious was a better dad than most 17 year old.
They were mainly making light of Laurence Fishburne and Cuba Gooding Jr playing father and son when they were only 6 years difference in age
This movie was an underrated comedic gem that was ahead of its time. The social commentary is spot on. Unfortunately, this would not be made today.
The “Janet was here” spray painted in red on back of the mail truck was a reference from the movie “Poetic Justice” starring Janet Jackson. The details of this film is amazing lmao
Yooooooo I never thought that and I been seen that “JANET was here “ all these years THANKS 😊
U On spot👍
The Wayans brothers are known for making parodies a black genre films starting with Hollywood Shuffle, then I'm Gonna Git You, Sucka in 1988, poking fun at all the cliches of 1970s blaxploitation films, to Don't Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood of course making fun of 1990s growing up in the hood movies, and then going to the 2000s with scary movie and in the twenty tens with a haunted house.
“ I’m gonna get you sucka “ is a great movie as well!
Written and directed and staring, Keenen Ivory Wayans
Yes it is. Hilllllllarious!
Hollywood Shuffle starring Robert Townsend ft Keenan another great parody film.
If ya'll never seen "scary movie (2000)", yall should add that to the list too. It's another classic comedy, and the two Wayan Brothers from Don't be a menace are in it as well.
Cause they made both movies white chicks as well
Finally! The culmination of all the hood movies you've watched. People were suggesting this movie months ago but you weren't ready yet. Now you get the references and I love it. 😆
bruh this movie was the first MCU lol
The cake scene was supposed to actually be a ripoff of the scene from Menace to Society where Cain was in the kitchen cooking up crack
This movie couldn’t be made today... We had sense of humor back then, we could laugh at our self and not be offended and fall to pieces like most young adults these days. I miss those days 😔
Facts
Yeah the 2020's suck, man i wish i grew up in the 90's but i was born in 2007
So do I.
Agreed
They made the dad younger to make fun of laurence fishburne playing cuba gooding jrs dad in boyz n the hood . Theyre almost the same age in real life
Just 6 years apart
The scene where the guy got shot going to college is from ‘Higher Learning’
You guys should definitely check it out
I was typing this as I found this lol
Yes this movie is great!
Omar epps and he was in juice
Is that the one with Method Man and Red man in it?
@@alfreddreamer9097 no, that’s ‘How High’ with red & method man
They just reacted to ‘Higher Learning’ if you want to see it
Shout to the Wayans Brothers for making a classic film and thanks for doing a reaction video. The Wayans also did scary movie 1 and 2..
other movie references you guys need to add to the list
(mail truck) Poetic Justice, 2Pac & Janet Jackson movie
12:30 Higher Learning
16:55 New Jersey Drive
17:04 South Central
24:42 Dead Presidents
Yo I'm black Hippy. This is dope. Thanks for watching this
thanks black hippy.
Thank you for the recommendation man!
@@OctoKrool anytime. Love the videos
Yeah thanks African American hippy
@@Fauxkat69 What makes you think he is American? (I guess you mean US citizen). But black oriole exist outside the US. No clue why people assume they from the US just because of color. It’s just bizarre. Then again saying African American is an ignorant insult from the beginning so didn’t expect a good answer.
Lmaoooo Crazy How Ya Automatically Thought "He's Gonna Bake a Cake"...... 🤣 They Was Tryna Play It As He Gonna Cook Crack!
The other movies referenced: Dead president, higher learning, poetic Justice
Its perfect cause they watched all the movies the parodied 😂
Not all. South Central being one.
Damn I forgot higher education and poetic justice 😂😂😂
False . They missed a few like poetic justice
& Dead Presidents
No, they didn’t, not all
"He ain't gonna cross that, it says not to!" *Tray crosses the "Do Not Cross" line*
The Wayans subverting expectations like pros.
Absolute geniuses!
The part where they drop their friend off at college & he gets shot, the paper "the man" crosses off says: Brothers Trying To Make It Out The Hood- Ricky (Boyz N the Hood), Caine (Menace to Society), Radio Raheem (Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing), and Malik (Higher Learning).
Scene where dude gets shot at college is from the movie Higher Learning, another good movie as well and the guy who got shot, Omar Epps, stars in it
I was gonna suggest this one too.
And dude that got stomp was the same dude in menace
Ice cube and Tyra Banks and more. Such a great film
"After the devil made you he broke the mold." 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
23:54 YOOOO! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The scene with Malik going off to university is a spoof on the rooftop shooting scene from Higher Learning 1995. Amazing movie and so many great performances!
I like how they mixed Boyz-n-the-Hood juice Menace to Society and South Central the movie is based off how Society look at us one of the greatest underrated movies of all time kind of like scary movies but in the 90s
The college scene with Omar Epps is from Higher Learning. You need to watch that movie.
I love how they got Omar Epps to play the same role from Higher Learning and Samuel Monroe Jr. played the same guy that got stomped out in Menace 2 Society. LMAO!!!
The Grandma jumping out the trash can is from Dead President react to that movie also
The kid dad joke is poking fun at how the entire cast of boyz n the hood was in their 20's, Laurence Fishburne was 29 Cuba Gooding was 23. Ricky or (Morris Chestnut) was 22 ice cube was 20 and their mom Tyra Ferrell was 28
18:05
Yes!! I was hoping they'll remember how they laughed about the way the guy was trying to creep on Menace 2 Society. 🤣
...finally.......so glad y'all got to see this.......THIS is a hood classic...
Y’all skipped the best part. When Loc Dog went back to his van with that girl and she turned into the Exorcist🤣🤣🤣
Girl-"A'ight muthafucka! Lets get it on!"
Loc Dog-"Aiiieee!"
Watch Higher Learning... in “Don’t be a menace while drinking in the hood” the guy that went to college, Higher learning is about him, it’s an excellent move!!! Love watching you guys with my family, you guys reactions to movies is priceless!!! Stay safe and God Bless!!
damn. I used to work at this burrito joint in 96-97 and me and this other dude there would quote this movie allllll day long. grandma is my favorite.
Love the channel! You boys are killing it. Don't be a Menace reminded of a an absolute brilliant movie that doesn't get enough love and your channel could help inspire a revival. The movie is Hollywood Shuffle written and directed by Robert Townsend. Nothing but the highest praise for this thought provoking knee slapper.
I LOLed HARD when crazy legs got hit by the car because BOTH of you looked so concerned for him. Your faces made me laugh even more. This movie is fucking funny. Thanks for the laughs today. Much needed.
During those times, there was so much sadness in the streets, even up to this day. The stories of the hood were being told in a dark and beautiful way. The hood and that environment needed this so bad. This is the funniest movie ever.
Since you guys like that one. An even better one is “I’m going to get you sucka “ . The Wayne’s brothers did it as well. Soo funny!
YESSSS
Oh lord.......not that one. That's hilarious
Hollywood Shuffle starring Robert Townsend ft Keenan Wayans
I love these reactions, it's been a long time since I've seen anyone watch these movies for the first time. When yall laugh so do I 😂😂😂
Love rewatching movies with y’all,
Yassssssss yalll watched it lol 😂 Watch A low down dirty shame next
They Gotta do The Wood Next
What about Black Dynamite?
Xd
Major Payne
I'm so glad you watched this, it's one of the funniest parodies ever
House Party and Class Act must go on the to-watch list.
Please react to The Player’s Club. That movie has the best cat fight in cinematic history!
Absolutely lmao!!!
Yes players club
I’m so glad you guys watched this! 😂😂🙌🏾 watch Poetic Justice and Paid in Full.
You two are officially welcome in any hood in America. All the BBQ and block parties invites are open.
20:43 This was a parody of the Ghetto Boys album cover with Bushwick Bill
Man yall bringing the good classics, best reaction channel straight up.
This is one of my favorite comedic movies from the Wayans Bros!!! Great reaction!! You all should react to White Chicks by them too😂😂😂
at 12:49 it is a play on the movie "Higher Learning" I recommend watching it, it's pretty good. And 24:42 is a reference to the movie "Dead Presidents" another classic.
There are so many references in this movie that I'm sure you didn't get. The part where the guy gets shot at college is a Higher Learning reference. I'm loving the reactions btw.
Also, the grocery store scene, the 2 Asian actors are the same from Menace To Society
Moo
The man is the same actor, but the woman is a different actress.
I swear no movie puts me in a better mood than this one. I comfortably say this is the funniest movie I ever watched
So glad y'all are doing comedy! Now y'all should check out A Low Down Dirty Shame.
Perfect timing already having seen Boyz N The Hood and Menace II Society. 👍
They Gotta do The Wood Next
When they jump the dude, that was super funny 😂😂😂😂
If you enjoyed this, you may enjoy I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, written & directed by their older brother Keenan Ivory Wayans(the mailman in the movie). It parodies blaxploitation movies(don't worry, you don't have to watch those movies to understand this one).
I just came here from your Menace II Society review. I'm SOOOO HAPPY y'all laughed at the run out of the car by "the cousin" in Menace.🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Hands down the funniest movie ever. Absolute classic.
The dad being young is a inside joke from boyz n the hood becuase lawrence fishbourne in real life wasn't that much older than cuba gooding jr even though he played his dad 😆
This movie has so many movie references from the 90s not just boys n the hood or menace 2 society... a lot of lower budget classics were referenced too😌 I really want you guys to watch “Poetic Justice” && “Low Down Dirty Shame” my favorite 90s Classics 🙌🏾🙌🏾
The guy going to college and getting shot was Malik from Higher Learning. The parody was that after Boyz In The Hood came out Hollywood kept pumping out movies with lots of gun violence. Although a lot of it was very true on the hood, it started to become excessive, even for those who were in the hood because it was lived out.
I always love this movie did you notice when the mom dropped off her son to his dad they was sitting in the car you notice the leaves only fell on his side and nowhere else in the yard 😂😂😂😂
Finally...you remember the title after watching the movie a couple times.
Y’all have to do “CB4” very soon😂😂😂👊🏽🙌🏽🔥
Yo these dudes are legit two of my favorites on UA-cam lol
Higher learning is a movie y'all should see
I am so glad someone is doing this film. It's a fantastic parody.
Higher Learning is another one I think they reference with Omar Epps getting dropped off at college.
Yup! ☺️
Hahahah the fact that the dog's name is Raggy is amazing
I met crazy legs.. he ALWAYS gave at a non profit it Atlanta that I used to work at. He was SEARCHING HARD for talent from the hood.
His name is Suli McCullough, he's a writer for the Oscar's, there's rumors he wrote the joke that caused Will Smith to slap Chris Rock
One of my favorite movies of all time 😂 saw his movie when I was like 8
Fun fact the Wayne’s brother not only created this movie but also “scary movie”
They’ve created many and out a lot of people on.
Y'all just got a new sub! Been watching your videos for a couple of days and I sincerely enjoy them.
This movie is a comedy classic! 🤣 Great reaction!
The guy who got show at college was Omar Epps. He played Q in Juice and the reference was from Higher Learning.
Still waiting on “Tales from the Hood”(1995) 😂😂😂
This is my absolute favorite comedy. Just utter chaos lmao
HAHA FUCK YEA! This and Friday were my shit back in the days. I used to know ALL THE WORDS to this movie and so many quotable quotes in this movie as well.
They Gotta do The Wood Next
A Thin Line Between Love and Hate is the next movie yall should watch. And, somewhere down the line I hope yall watch Bringing Down The House with Queen Latifah and Steve Martin.
The dude that got Jada Pinkett's brother shot is also in the movie. He was the one given toothpick the side-eye about having sex with guys in the shower in jail. He also played in Menace to Society he was the one that got beat up by Cain for getting his sister pregnant
*cousin* pregnant
Jadas Brother? Nigga That Was Her Boyfriend 😅 He Got Jadas Boyfriend Shot In Menace to Society
Classic. The weed smoking granny . The bags of weed in his hair 🤣 save some for grandma
The pink bunny slippers are a reference to Damon Wayne's character in the movie Colors who is their older brother. Also, that's not a silly straw, it's an antenna
Loc Dog as the Bugs Bunny of the Hood makes so much sense 😂😂
Fun fact😊.. The Asian store owner in this movie is the same one who was casted in Menace II Society
Damn that’s crazy never knew that
