Nashville Fly In 2022: Nobody Cares

- We had a fly in!
Nobody cares about your religion, your politics, your team, your vote - nobody cares about anything here in the gravel section of the aviation community parking lot… we just love to fly, and respect each others passion and hard work - it takes so much to be pilot - and to be a good pilot takes even more.
On a whim, I created the Nobody Cares fly in - and offered a weekend in late October as the dates for everyone to gather, and go on some flying adventures here around Tennessee. I didn't know what to call the event - and quickly resorted to Nobody Cares, because, no one cares what the event is called anyway.
Everyone showed up - from planning, to helping each other get here - to help make it possible.
Everyone in the group also has some creative challenge as well - documenting and storytelling around their aviation experiences… I thought, let me get a couple of friends to join and film, and we can share all the footage and see what each other comes up with in their own way, from their own perspective. It became in a way, a sort of creative conference, through the lens of the aviation experience.
The important thing is not what comes out of it though, it's that we experienced it.

I hang out with a bunch of guys at the airport (C56). Most times we hang out on Wednesday evenings down a row of hangers we refer to as "Skid Row". It's a wide age range, aviation experiences, and many different view points but nobody cares! We're all there to enjoy, learn, and bond over aviation. The aviation community is so amazing like that.

I’m new to your channel but I shouldn’t be since I’ve been listening to the MidLife Pilot podcast for awhile, so my apologies. Now heading back to your UA-cam back catalog! (And by the way, I was very tangentially involved in the fly-in because my son Sam was the CFII who checked out Ted in the Skycatcher at MQY, and Sam told me about your event when he got back from work since he knew I was a Midlife Pilot fan.)
