You made them look new, great job as always. I still have the Justin’s I wore to high school every day. Two pairs. They are 45 years old and they are dressier models so their construction is much different. I wish they still fit. Your feet get bigger as you grow older. But not other things. 😂
Wow, the reconditioning really brought the leather back to life! A quick but very effective restoration. Great job, guys. Great weekend to all, and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Enjoy! 👍
I started watching this channel when it started. You guys have put a lot of effort into making it entertaining and helpful. This is another good video. Plus I like cowboy/work boots.
I know they're mass produced boots, but for some reason, i just love a plain pair of justin boots. I wish they came out the box just like y'all did them.
Good morning guys. The owner of these boots should be thrilled with how these boots turned out.(would be nice to sometime see a customers' reaction) Repaired with much better materials than how they came originally.I'm sure that crepe will feel better underfoot than the carpet padding. BTW compared to the Nicks boots you took apart last week these boots looked like a breeze to tear down. A happy Mothers day to all the Moms out there.Have a great weekend.
Are you referring to music that we’d listen to in the background? If so, we do listen to music most days, chat, joke around…. We just can’t have it in the background on videos due to copyright issues.
Can you make a Video explaining oil tanned boots and how to determine what you have. I use Boot Barn Branded cream polish and noticed on the label it says not to use with oil tanned boots. I'm Not sure what I have. I have several different pairs of boots and shoes with all different finishes. A video explaining how to choose the right product for your boot would be awesome!
I have very similar Justin boots I believe mine are called the Wyoming they have composite toe and internal med guard.I bought another pair just like them I think they called the Wyoming I haven’t put them on yet I’m waiting for these the wear little bit more and then I think I’m going to send them in and have them re-soled. Then I can have a second pair to alternate I drive a truck and I’m on a bunch of different farms and my boots really get abused
I understand you are going to do a pair of boots for "Buckin Billy Ray", the timber faller from Vancouver B.C.. Are you planning to do a video of that ?
Would it be possible to achieve an outside supination on the outer sole and heal of a boot for correction ? I've tried insole corrections but the tend to move around and I wear out my boots on the outside rapidly while it still is new looking. An outer build to be replaced would stay in place correct my supination and save my boots much longer. What do you guys think ?
I have a pair of Red Wing model 988 where the sole has come detached. I will be looking for a cobbler to reattach the sole. After watching you vlogs I want to replace the mid sole and stitch the sole to the welt to add life and durability
As always, beautiful job on those boots. The carpet pad kills me! Speaking of polish on welt stitching, what do you guys recommend to remove Black polish from white welt stitches? Previous owner of the Beckman's I just picked up did a BAD job 😠.
So I always rinse the saddle soap off my Iron Rangers, should you use a cloth and just wipe the saddle soap (assuming leaving some saddle soap residue) away? As opposed to running the boots under water to wash the soap off?
realy nice job love watching how you turn around manky old boots in things of beauty again, Im from england and when i want to smell like one of out beaches i just splash some of the water from out toilet bowl after i just used it and im golden :D. only kidding some of beaches are quite nice but do have some stinkers too.
Hey guys,my son has a pair of red wing Irish setter work boots in really bad shape and size 11 1/2 and I was wondering if you guys would like to repair them and make a video of it......Thanks
Great job, as per usual. Curious if you’ve seen any bespoke boots come in for resole or repair. I’m thinking of anything from Lee Miller’s shop in Austin, or similar other high craft boot maker offerings. Seems that something like that would make a fine subject for a video
As a fan of yours, I watch you guys fix many things. I bought a pair of custom Luchesse boots in Sante Fe a few yrs ago. But these boots came apart so easy, didn’t look like very good quality. Looked cheap. So my question is, when is a shoe or boot not worth fixing?
really wish you guys would redo my keen boots . i pulled the whole off the covering and cleaned up the leather up now i just want new vibram 109 logger soles.
He has something going on with his right side. Significant over supination. Some custom orthopedics can help... but then I see the toe. Guessing there are some mechanical challenges there. Not many wrinkles in the leather so no crouching down working on anything. All upright walking.
This is another entertaining video. The boots look good enough to wear to church. I do wonder if the owner already got their money's worth from the boots prior to sending them to your shop. I am not trying to be a smart eleck this time.
I am so glad I stumbled across this video. My dad only wears that style of boot. (Says it’s the most comfortable) and he was wondering what kind of sole would be used if he had his resoled since now his leather is lasting. I really appreciate how in depth you guys go and even showed the carpet padding inside that boot.
I’ve been thinking about having my Justin’s like these redone and wondered if you can put a wedge sole on these? It could be the white or black doesn’t really matter to me if it’s possible?
how do i send my cowboy boots to you the need the whole works done i got bad stretch from riding horses and i have a wedding in a month so i need them fixed and they are dan post boots
I saw you used saddle soap on those boots. My boots are made by Rios of Mercedes and they say never use saddle soap on boots. So I use a cleaner and then a conditioner. What are your thoughts on that?
Is there any sort of toe protection you can put on (besides the dressy metal ones you use sometimes) since this guy obviously wears the heck out of his toes?
We’re currently in the process of bringing the manufacturing of them back to the US, so there’s been a lot of moving parts. Unfortunately, we didn’t get them out for this season, but we’ll have them available again later this year. We do appreciate your interest!
Hey guys, wanted to let you know I found your channel thanks to your recent discussion with Hugo from Satorial Talks. Enjoyed that chat and will be looking forward to your content in the future. I have a pair from one of the lesser known brands, TLB Mallorca, and it's a great shoe but I do find them a bit hard to break in. Do you have the same impression of them? By the way, so great to hear a mix of southern and French! Cheers from Zurich.
I have almost new Robert's boots from nicks. They are smooth out. I should have got the urban loggers. And I should have got them in rough out. Can I send them to you to add a rough out toe cap and change the sole to the lug style sole?
To keep the ads funny next time you guys should advertise Raid Shadow legends, tell us how you guys have played it for months now and have your own clans, and that we can find you guys in there etc, whatever the script tells you. A breath of fresh leather smell
Yes, changing out insoles is an option on our website. Now, we do look at every shoe/boot on a case-by-case basis, and every shoe isn’t made the same. We’ve changed out the insoles on several of our videos.
The stitches on the bottom of the boot are chain stitched, so between the glue and the other half of the chain in the sole they will hold on for quite some time after they look worn through on the bottom.
Yep, I agree with Drew. As long as the sole was glued on well, and the stitches hold, you should perfectly fine. If the sole wasn’t trenched very deep, stitches are the first thing to wear out, but the sole will usually hang on for a long time afterwards.
wonder if you look at the wear patterns on the soles and think "This guy is pigeon-toed," or "this guy favors one leg over the other," or things like that
I dunno... Maybe it's just me, but I found your channel, and continue to watch, because the sounds of you performing your craft are great to listen to while watching. But this episode felt like it was slapped together at the last second to fulfill a deadline. Great work as always, but in an 11:30 video, there was only four minutes of see you do what you do. All the rest was talking or plugging ads.
They’ve mentioned several times in videos before that making a video is really time-consuming in addition to their normal work. I’m sure sometimes they’re extra busy so the video is shorter but something is better than nothing.
These look fantastic! I am excited to get these back to my Dad. I was shocked you guys made a video on these. Thank you again!
You made them look new, great job as always. I still have the Justin’s I wore to high school every day. Two pairs. They are 45 years old and they are dressier models so their construction is much different. I wish they still fit. Your feet get bigger as you grow older. But not other things. 😂

Those came out amazing, considering what they are. Even your work boots can look awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Great weekend to all, and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Enjoy! 👍

Fantastic job. Of course, every pair that y'all do is a fantastic job.
So glad Peyton and Eli teamed up like this. Awesome!
Beautiful work here. Hard to say which one of you guys is better looking too. You guys could have a show on tv
Holy crap! That's an amazing before and after. Looks great.
Have a good weekend fellers. Those hoof-covers cleaned up nicely.
Thank you sir. You do the same.
Wow...maybe you could go the same thing to my crepe soul ostrich that you now have. What a great video!
Obenauf's heavy duty LP is real good for work boots. Seems to make them more abrasion resistant.

I laughed when Heath said more carpet padding.

I just tossed some work boots that I should have sent in. They made these look like new boots... the leather was still good but that's about it!
Short and sweet; good job guys. Getting the hang of the UA-cam game lol.

Heath seems like the brother that would work on the left boot, while Trenton is a right-boot type of guy.
😂
