WOW! It's not often that I get nervous to test a bite but this tarantula sure did give me a run for my money! It's hard to stay stoic when you're staring at such large fangs, but sometimes things aren't as bad as you expect! Have you ever seen a tarantula in the wild?

These videos have made me want a tarantula, that's something I never would have said years ago. They seem like really chill little animals, and honestly a little cute too.
You should be getting then Funnel webs. Very good pets
@@duddillakapish3281
I'm assuming you're joking.
Aside from the potent venom, the Australian Atracidea are not available for export, and the various species of Macrothele that are available in the hobby are going to be lightning fast and is more difficult to care for than say an Arizona blonde or rose hair.
I love em, i know they would never bite me unless provoked
You are crazy... L. O. L.. I'm not messing with you. Great video 😮
Coyote Petersen would of made a huge fuss over this in the dramatic way only he does.
great video Jack! ❤
Something just popped in my head...
Could Jack be a Spiritual Successor of Steve Irwin
Big shoes to fill there. Steve is definitely a huge inspiration for what I do.
@@JacksWorldofWildlifeYou certainly resonate Steve's passion.
Steve always avoided being bit.
@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 He DID try to correct misconceptions, though.
And if the misconceptions today are found in the "BITE-ZONE!!" then... well.. there is work to be done. Good work.
Not by me, mind you. I will dynamite them fkng bugs first. haha
@@HansenSWE There will never be another Steve
I don't think I've ever seen you this nervous! I would have been much more nervous for some of the wasps you have done. Then again, I go running from a honey bee so even this as far beyond what I would try
You run from honey bees? Lol
Um, Jack seems to like histrionics. More of an act than otherwise. Just saying.
@brucegreenberg7573 No, he was visibly shaking. Something about tarantula fangs make you uncomfortable on an instinctual level.
Or that black widow.
Terrific video Jack. I keep tarantulas and agree with you absolutely. They're not here to wage war on us they just want to be left alone to do their own thing. They're fascinating beautiful arachnids that deserve so much respect.
Tarantula be like “this is why I hate door to door salesmen”. 😂
I like how the tarantula after biting him just walks casually on his arm like "yup, this one's an idiot" 😂😂😂😂😂
I love Tarantulas! They are so cute and funny
I wouldn’t advise this with any Poecilotheria species. Old world and new world aren’t built the same. New world has urticating hairs except a few which means their venom is less potent. Old worlds are all venom no urticating hairs
I'm a female that owns about 100 Tarantulas amongst other inverts. Old & new world t's. A Texas Brown looks like a right beauty, I'm going to need to get one...
Tarantulas just want to runaway and hide and save their venom for their prey. They give you enough warning from threat poses, slapping the ground to kicking hairs. Otherwise they are happy doing their own thing.
Cool video Jack.
@jgscatsandthings208 can you explain the difference between new and old world?
@@stevietring1106 Old World tarantulas are found in African/Asian countries and New World tarantulas are from North/South American countries.
@@scorpsallday33 Old world Tarantulas are more Medically significant than the New World Tarantulas .
New world for example Texas Brown or Brazilian Salmon Pink (Lasiodora Parahybana) which I own are mainly hair kickers which they use in defence but more docile are found in the Americas. Old World (Asia, Africa, Europe & Australia) Indian Ornamental (Poecilotheria Regalis) or Socotra Island Blue Baboon (Monocentrophus Balfouri) or Orange Baboon (Pterinochilus murinus) which I own will threat pose or slap the ground, they can be a lot more defensive.
It is said to not fear but to respect these creatures.
I initially read that as "introvert" and got a good chuckle out of it.
You deserve way more views that what you are getting. Your content is so much better than coyote peterson
I have a small a. hentzi. I got it about the size of a pencil eraser and now it's about the size of a half dollar. I can't wait for it to be the size of the one in this video.
You should try an old world tarantula like a poecilotheria or pterinochilus or really any well know old world. I want to know how much I should really fear the species that I keep as pets
Yes, OW's have medically significant venom; unlike NW's.
Also, instead of a 5" NW T from USA, a bite from the large 8' S American T's (which are also more defensive) can put a hole in your hand! The mechanical damage alone can cause serious damage. And the 10" Goliath Sp have 3/4" fangs!
Ohhh!! Intense moment but relieved it's not a dangerous event !
You are truly one in a million Jack!
The fangs Hurt more than the venom on bro i got a curly hair
What do old world tarantulas behave like.
New world tarantulas doesn't need to be afraid, old worlds yea but like we said, they won't killed you, well, i saw one case that a tarantula from the chilobrachys genus kill a human due to the allergic reaction (idk if is misinformation)
The old worlds are definitely more venomous on average.
Great show ! These Texan brown are fairly easy to handle and have a good temperant compared to some species from Australia .
I just found your channel. And I’m so happy that I did. I’m binge watching you!! its amazing stuff. Before this video I saw the one from 4 years ago when you got bitten by a black widow. Im definitely a subscriber now
😎
Would you handle an old world T?
He has a video of him free handling a Wandering Spider in the Ecuador Jungle. I doubt he would be too afraid of an old world tarantula
Cool, try an old world next.
@Jack. Do you have a nickname? If not I think "Mad Jack" fits well.
😂 I’ll take it
I kept a local tarantula in the house for about six months through the winter. It consumed all the insects and small rodents. It’s pretty hard to piss one off. They know how big they are. I’m not sure why you would want to harass one. I let it go come spring, and it hung around the house and was pretty friendly.
5:15 Thanks for that. I was listening to this without headphones, and my aunty walked in, asking why I was watching a video of someone taking a dump.
Did sound like he was squeezing out a giant sub 🤣🤣🤣
Aren’t there some species of tarantulas that will shoot their hairs out on your skin and you’ll be itchy for DAYS? (Sorry if you mentioned this in the video I might have missed it)
Yes! Many of our new world tarantulas fling irritating hairs when threatened
@@JacksWorldofWildlife thanks for the reply! And wow that’s pretty crazy
crazy guy
Great video ❤
Everytime I see one of yours videos I’m like “yay my arachnophobia is cured” then I run into a spider out in the wild and flip out. Great video.
NEXT EPISODE: Heteroscodra Maculata and Poecilotheria Metallica bite.
Long time since a good bite, great show!!!!
Texas Brown, I've been bitten by a tarantula before, feels like a bee sting basically, but more pressure
Sorry I’m trying to find out if I’ve been shadowbanned.. 0100101011011101?? Cool tarantula. Props to Jack for no “You’re about to enter the sting zoone!! Three! Two!…”
Should You be afraid of tarantula bite?
North America - No
South America - Depends..
Europe - first try find one.. but not really.
Africa/India/Asia - Would highly recommend not to test bites or attitude, lol
I mean try Obt or Poechiloteria or even psalmopoeus.. larger, not very friendly, bite is painfully as fk usualy.
And what You do is not bite, its "nibble". They cant really bite if hold like this. Real bite from angry tarantula is quite bit more gory usually ;)
Great video Jack. I just love tarantulas. However if you want to test the bite of a tarantula, take a trip to India & try an adult female Poecilotheria. If that doesn’t convince you, take a trip to Vietnam & try a bite from an adult female Cyriopagopus schmidti. 👍👍👍
PLEASE! Take a bite from a Poecilotheria metallica to show the side effects...make sure it's an adult 😊
Been bitten by a G. Rosea once, that was my fault however. The Spider was usually a very docile one, what people would call a perfect spider for handling. Not that I did so, I don't go around picking up and playing with my spiders. So, I stuck my hand in to fix the waterbowl so that it was standing up correctly so my Spider would have drinking water. My fingers probably triggered her hunting instinct and into one my fingers she went. The bite much like the one in this Video wasn't terribly painfull and I could have avoided it by using tongs to fix up the waterbowl.
Painwise, I got hurt more when the African Bullfrog I owned at one point went for my hand while feeding him roaches. He drew more blood than my spider did at the very least. He was harder to get of my hand too.
Oh I am disappointed....where is writhing on the ground and screaming "definitely worse than tarantula hawk"....oh yeah, I get it, wrong channel in case I am looking for fake drama :D
Is it weird that you holding it up with in your hands, showing the fangs, actually made me go "awwww" instead of quivering in fear? Granted, I was not holding it, so your fear is 100% genuine and I'd be the same if I was holding it. I guess it's because I know these things want nothing to do with us and it's more like, defensive. Except for Sydney Funnelwebs which are another tier of defensive.
Also so sweet that the tarantula was looking almost towards the camera in one bit. So cute.
I only fear 1 bite and its the bite of 87
😂
👏NEXT, TRY A BITE FROM A SAPPHIRE GOOTY TARANTULA👏
Lots of old world tarantulas yup. If you get bit you will certainly have a bad day and possibly a bad week but unless you have a crazy allergic reaction, they won't kill you.
Such a placid creature. It doesn't seem scared or aggressive. In comparison to most other life out there it's very chilled. Try getting that close to a fox, a deer or a mountain lion. Don't fancy getting bit by one though, probly like getting stabbed by two sharp nails dipped in wasp venom.
Hey Jack can you send me a box of Brown Recluse. I want to release them in my uncle's couch or bed. 100-200 should be sufficient
YIKES!!! Thanks Jack for all you do.
It’s my pleasure 🫡
Wow Jack you took 3-4 more bites than Coyote Peterson would have taken and you didn't flail around rolling around on the ground acting like you're a step away from death itself. It's almost like he over acts everything 😂.. Thank you for delivery a true representation of what can be expected "IF" you were to ever get one of these fabulous amazing animals to bite you. They truly are nothing to ever be worried about.
Hi Jack. Loved this video! Don’t some tarantulas has fur on its body that can cause some discomfort as well?
Would you mind me asking if you could do a video about old world tarantulas but don't take a bite from one. Why I want you to record a video about them. Is because I get confused about them and new world tarantulas. Like for my whole life. I thought green bottle blue where old worlds. I have trouble distinguishing between the two and why I ask for you to film the old worlds. Is because I feel like I know the new worlds more and the old world are so cool but I know they live on the other side of the world. Like Australia and South Africa.
We all know the mechanical damage from a T is the scary thought. But now maybe try an old world. Maybe poecilotheria hahaha now that would be a show I'm sure your sub count would double overnight
I'm telling you try a old world I have a few you will be extremely scared while it won't kill you I'll vouch it's worse then a widow muscle spasms for weeks nausea vomiting
I own 4 tarantulas.... I don't fear them at all
Not even the OBT?!?! 😅😅😅
Just because it doesn't kill you doesn't mean it won't really hurt lol, especially with decent size fangs. A turtle or dog or python bite isn't venomous, but it sure does hurt!
Old worlds have much more potent venom P.Met
talica or P. Ornata have people cramping up for weeks at a time but they still won't kill you. They lack the urticating hairs so their venom has to be stronger as their only means of defense. I own 2 tarantulas and two scorpions never have I once been bitten they really don't want to bite unless you force them some are more defensive than others I'd definitely like to see a bite test from an old world lol.
The large tarantula size spiders never bothered me, I rather like them. The bigger the better, cause it makes it harder for em to hide effectively if they were to get into a home / apartment etc. One that might crawl under sheets or clothes or in a shoe....much more likely to see a leg sticking out or a strange moving lump. Plus ones like in the video really dont have venom that is gonna be that impactful on you. What scares me is the small ones, widows, recluses, yellow sac spider. Tiny, very easily hidden and with a potentially dangerous venom. Ya sure a widow may only have a .001% chance of killing me even if it dumped all its venom in me, but researching its effects and seeing bite videos, shows me it can sure as hell make me wish it killed me instead.
Dang, was expecting more blood from those fangs chewing on ya 😂 now I know. Excellent job bra , that took nerve!
If he was to improve the audio quality these videos would be so awesome that’s literely the only thing I think sm like coyote peterson has over him any other way I prefer watching jack 9 times out of 10
Wow man kudos for having the brass to literally test the theories! It is incredible that you are able to force yourself to do it! That Tarantula bite did look like it would be very very painful
Love this mate. I mostly agree that animals arent mean with 1 notable exception : wasps! They are the assholes of the animal kingdom
Well, some definitely are. But most of the paper wasps are also pretty chill unless you actually mess with their nests. Their stings are absolutely not pleasant, but they really don’t have it in for you.
They aren't mean to me. I freed one from a trap and it landed on my hand then flew away without stinging me.
@@sazji my 6yr old and I got attacked by a swarm. We muat have disturbed their ground nest. Im a lifelong outdoors guy and that was a horrible experience
@@susand9296 If they aren’t defending a nest, they generally won’t be. But disturb a nest and you’ll have problems. The problem especially comes when they build a nest in a place likely to be disturbed. The ground wasps where I live will be on you for walking over the entrance (which you might never even see till it’s too late). Still, the paper wasps (the ones that build the open “paper combs” in the eaves of houses, usually have to be pushed pretty far to actually attack. We had a nest on the eaves of our porch for quite a while and didn’t even know.
They won't bite you unless provoked or mishandled
Yeah I don’t and won’t kill a tarantula, but I sure as hell will not be picking one up…. Ever
Tarantulas are pretty harmless
Many are, not all.
Would you let a Gooty Shaphire Ornamental bite you, Jack? 👀
Ok theyre not interested in biting when being held very carefully but just like any spider theyre unpredictable spider to spider and will bite if u accidentally threaten it.
Alright Jack do a golden orb weaver and I’ll come do it with you
But why is it 2 separate videos mixed together, it's not the same spider he catches that bites him, he's even wearing a different t shirt.. really bad editing
I wanna see you do a Poecilotheria, or whatever, a poke, like P metallica
Asian tarantulas are tasty. I wonder how the American ones taste.
i think the easiest way to make 100k subscribers on youtube is to let yourself bite/ sting etc
Try the obt orange baboon guarantee it will bite you and it will hurt like a mother 😭 or the orange feather leg baboon
That's one healthy arachnid. I had a rose hair for around 8 years and I would have to feed her pinkies once a or twice a month because large crickets were too small for her
What time of the season can i find tarantulas, are they available oh year round or do tarantulas pop out at a certain time of the season?
Compared to the Sydney funnel web this is like a hamster.
When are you dealing with old world tarantulas? You do not want to touch them
I´d rather say that great respect is to be cultivated. fear is the antagonist of love
Sorry dude. I’ll catch the next one. I tried though 😂
Take a bite from an Old World! I nominate the OBT👹
you should fear the bite at a rational level like i dont want to get bit no matter how mild
The ones in the Mojave are a little more easily agitated.
i absolutely love your videos there so intertaining and in my opinion ur better than cyote
FIRST !
These videos make my skin crawl....🕷🕷
He's actually made me fear spiders far less.
Dont do an Old World, not worth ruining your week.
It's normal to have fear from any bite...
He's Spider Man one week later.
You should do shark bite next
Jack is the cutest thing ever. No diddy
Now do a Featherleg Baboon 😏
You're lucky it was just a tarantula and not a brown recluse.....I died from a brown recluse bite last week,I'm feeling better now though....😏
Jack has already done it. Check out his library.
If for no other reason than it hurts.
Comment for the algorithm
Now do a Sydney Funnelweb!
I have over 100 pet tarantulas and I was bit by my most docile species (curly hair). I had a terrible reaction to the venom. I vomited and has insanely bad muscle spasms throughout my entire body but especially legs and feet for an entire week. It was not "like a bee sting" like they say. It may have just been me, the meds I'm on or I got a huge dose of venom. I was a mess from it. Be careful with your Ts people!
Maybe is the allergic reaction
Did he change spiders?
I don t have the balls to it
Jack can you get bitten by The Goliath Bird Eater, it's the biggest Tranatula. Possibly free handel it.
It's necessary to wear gloves to deal with it, plus they're very skittish, theraphosa hairs are the worst, it's not even itchy, it's PAINFUL (like when exotics lair said)
Im curious. Youve been bitten by two of the 'most venomous' spiders according to popular theory. And showed those bites arent nearly as bad as one might thing depending on your bodys reaction to it (black widow and brown recluse). Is there a spider you absolutely do not want to be bitten by?
I would hate to be bitten by a Brazilian wandering spider, Sydney funnel web, northern tree dwelling funnel web or any of the six eyed sand spiders.
Do a copperhead bite
