Back in the very early 1970's I worked at a garden center who also had a landscaping business. He sold these and they said Satoh Mitsubishi on them. We used them on a daily basis, and they were very good strong dependable tractors. You should have seen them when they were new just beautiful tractors I thought and still do.
Hey fellas, the next time you pull a pulley off and it has bearings use some PB Blaster. PB Blaster is a penetrating oil intended for loosening rusted joints (threads, etc). It does this quite well. WD-40 is a "Water Displacement" treatment intended to leave a persistent rust-inhibiting coating behind.
Thanks for the response. Glad to hear you put the ride all in it. That diesel is running a little rough from what I hear you may want to look into that get more power out of it.
I think that it was sitting for a while before I got it, the rings must’ve been a little stuck because it is starting better now that I’ve been using it and got some heat in it
Yeah, I got 15-40 in it now, I thought I had some but I didn’t, so 10w30 was the closest thing I had. The blades don’t look too bad but I will probably sharpen them later this year
Do you know the size of that mower deck? I have a beaver 3 S 373 D with the three cylinder diesel that has a mid-mount hydraulic lift for what I can only assume used to be a mower deck @@hicksgarage3448
Yeah, I don’t know if I want to do a full restoration (because I want to use it to do work, not worry about scratching the paint a little) but I do think I could clean it up decent, straighten some things and fix some of the mechanical issues like the glow plugs

Super cool. By the way, you should try to get a proper lube… wd-40 is not a lubricant.
Just keep working on it and never give up on it you will get to work better for you than ever
I used the same model for 15 year's plowing snow it was a great tractor.
Good stuff. Sharpen blades you’ll see a big difference. Thx guys 👍

What mower is in the back of a mitsubishi? looks solid.
That's a Grasshopper mower. I could tell by the classic brown and tan color scheme. Solid.
Yup, but it has seen a lot of use so the motor is getting tired and burns a lot of oil

o m ..y .. it almost looks like mine but it's not far off, the technology is the same, but mine didn't have a mowing deck underneath
What attachments do you have?

Do it up proper like repaint it. And use it. Like a restore. Or just proper look. And show the details on it when you do.

How much you want
They make 10w-30 specifically for diesels
I know you guys did not just put that oil in a diesel it should be 2050 diesel oil even for a two cylinder diesel
It’s got 15-40 in it now
Would cute better if you gave it more throttle
ya outta be running diesel motor oil rather than basic 4 stroke gasoline engine oil.
Yeah, I got 15-40 in it now, I thought I had some when we were filming the video but I didn’t, so 10w30 was the thickest thing I had
Next time don’t spill so much oil on your yard maybe later if you have children they tank you for it.
Keeps the weeds down
