- Let's talk about pink lipstick. For decades I didn't like pink lipstick and rarely purchased it. Recently I realized I wear pink a lot. Another recommendation is the Nars Sheer lipstick in the shade Dolce Vita. A creamy mauve lipstick. Very comfortable 😊
I have one of the sheer lipsticks but in a different shade. Great formula, very comfortable.
Ooooo, I'm into pink lipstick! I don't like the YSL ones or the "melting" ones, though, because they melt into the corners of my mouth. I've tried clear lip liner to help that, but it still doesn't help a lot because it really has to fight gravity on my mouth. I don't recommend the YSL balms or the melting balms for older people or anyone who has a downturned shape of mouth. I'm also not a fan of Merit. I don't get the hype about that Merit formula- it doesn't last long on me at all and I find it to be drying. Also, Merit colors turn warm on me. Maybe lipsticks are like mascara- highly personal in the way they wear, because you love that Merit but it's really badly drying for my lips and I think the colors go warm on me. I love the Gucci lipsticks, though, and I think I might get Love Is Better next (and it looks great on you!). Also, I love LE Love of My Life and several other LE pinks like Wonder Wheel!
Lisa makes my favorite bullet lipstick formula. Hands down, the best in my opinion. I don't seem to have any problems with the merit lipsticks. They're some of my favorites in my collection. The only down side it's the limited color range. I also find them to be warmer than I'd normally reach for, but I still love them. I agree with you about the soft melty lipsticks. I won't be able to wear those forever. I won't wear a pigmented gloss or lip oil because of how it feathers outside my vermilion border. My lips are changing, and certain things aren't as good as idea as the used to be due to age and gravity. 🤷♀️ That's ok. Aging is better than the alternative. Thanks so much for watching today.
You know what I am going to say. I am a Lisa Eldridge fangirl all the way. I don't have Pompadore, but I love Wonderwheel. Our skintones are slightly different, and I can rock a pink! Even my few nudes are a little pinker. I couldn't bring myself to jump into Dolce and Gabana. Honestly, the brand that seems to be hitting all the marks is Dior! I think they might be getting my birthday money! 💋💋💋
I'm such a fan of the Dior satin and velvet matte lipstick formulas. They're beautiful! I'm also such a LE fan. Her brand makes the sort of makeup I love to wear, and a full face of LE is always easy and effortless for me. I love it!

Hi! I don't love pink lipstick. Having an olive skin tone it is a difficult shade indeed. But if the pink goes in a mauve or plum direction then it kooks good. I used to have a nyx gloss in fucsia/purple and that was also nice, I think it is discontinued
I hate when brands discontinue a beloved product or shade. There are so many favorite lipstick shades that I would love to have back, but they've gone the way of the dodo. : (
I love mauve and plummy shades too. I prefer the pinks that aren't as Barbie pink as some people love. Those opaque baby pink shades make me look dead or like I have concealer lips. I stopped trying to purchase the "it" shade of lipstick about 10 years ago because I had so many in my collection that I never wore. There's nothing worse in a make up drawer than an old, abandoned lipstick rolling around in the back.
I love pink actually. :) Even as a 70s/80s kid, with the terrible frosted colors 😂 I recently discovered the Romand Water and Juicy tints, and was eyeing the bald, too. I love night tint formulas and the colors are gorgeous. Still want to try the Jones Road 😊 As far as my favorite pinks, they would be the three new charlotte releases in candy chic, 90s pink and icon baby), as well as the merit matte in Sunday. :) I know there are more 😂 Baby is amazing as well
I need to get more Romand lippies. I really like these Glasting Melting Balms, but I'm still thinking about the ones you recommended. I might have to make a K-beauty order next month.
About the Jones Road: it's very different. Utilitarian is a great word to describe it. It doesn't have the luxe feel that so many other products have. Despite all that I really like it, but I could see where someone might say it's just an expensive Chapstick and doesn't merit the price. I'm actually surprised that I like it due to how it feels going on. It feels so hard in the tube, but great on the lips. It's stupid easy to apply, and give my lips just enough color to look intentional without looking like I'm wearing "lipstick."
I'd want to swatch the CT pinks before ordering them blind. I'm still scared of those pinks I grew up with that I don't love. I know these new ones from CT aren't even close to that, but I'm always wary of a pink I can't swatch in person.
Back in the 80s I wore RED lips, I loved the matte and velvet formulas. But now that I'm older I LOVE the pink stuff I never wore in the 80s lol Thanks for the review. I was actually doing a search 🤷
I LOVE are red lip still, but I realized that I do wear pinks a lot more than I thought I would. I was scarred by the frosted pink lips of the 80s and still struggle with any lipstick that is metallic or frosted. It took me a long time to even try pink lips. I think it's a matter of finding the right shade and formula for any color. These are my favorite lippies in pink. Thanks for watching.
I'm not a pink fan, but I have a couple that are really nice: one is from Lipstick Queen (which is no longer in business, sadly) called Saint Pink, which is a sheer natural pink, "my lips but better" and SO moisturizing; another is from Bliss (also no longer in the makeup game), and it's called Petal Pusher, a more rosy pink, somewhat matte, but very comfortable; the last one is Teak Rose from Revlon, which is a lovely rose with some brown in it.
I feel like I need to save up to try some of these Lisa Eldridge lippies; they look so nice.
Lipstick Queen used to be my favorite brand before Poppy King sold the brand to Morphe. After the sale, they changed the direction of the brand and I didn't love it as much. I miss the Velvet Rope lipsticks ($50 each more than a decade ago) and my favorite shades in Medieval and Hello Sailor. It was Lipstick Queen that helped me discover I could wear nudes as long as they were pink leaning shades. I loved Sinner Pinky Nude, Sinner Hot Rose, and my favorite red was Medieval. I'm still looking for something that's similar. 😭
I never tried the Bliss makeup products, but I used to love their giant exfoliating mint body soap. I used it for years.

I loved this video! Pink is my absolute favorite. I’m kinda stuck on only wearing pinks. I do love all pinks but prefer neutral and warm pinks ( which is strange because I’m cool toned). I would love to switch it up and wear some peachy shades now and then but I just feel I look unwell in them. I think I need the Lisa Eldridge bright pink you have! Wow!
I really love the velvet pompadour shade. It's stunning. (As it's wonder wheel) As long as the pink is opaque and doesn't have too much white in the base, I'm likely to enjoy the pink.

Ooh, that would be hard. I don't have much of a drugstore lipstick collection. I feel like there are creators who better understand the drugstore market and have tried more than I have. There aren't many drugstore lip formulas that I enjoy enough to purchase more than one. I also find that many of the pinks from the drugstore often fall into the shades of pinks I don't care for. I'm sorry, but I'm not the one I'd trust to recommend drugstore lipsticks.

I feel like the Jones Road is Lippie Stick is Bobbi Brown’s answer to the BB Crushed lipstick. For me, that was a product that represented the brand so well. Of course, she needed to recreate that in her new line.
I hadn't thought of that. I only have one of the Crushed Lipsticks, but I really like it. The Lippie Stick seems even a bit firmer in my opinion, but I like both of them so much. I love how simple yet elegant it is when I swipe it on. It seems so humble and unassuming, but . . . I really like the Lippie Stick. Thanks for watching today.

We have a similar colouring and after buying Angel by MAC many years ago, I was also not a pink girlie. I think my favourite pink is Rain from LE 💗💗💗.
Rain is such a great shade! I love it so much. I picked up Angel in the early 2000s and ir wasn't a good look for me. 😬

I didn't think that I loved pink lipstick until I took a good look at my recently most reached for lippies, and I discovered my collection has so much pink in it. I've been living in the Jones Road lippie stick and the Glossier strawberry balm for the last 2 weeks. I haven't reached for anything else when I'm not filming.
When I think about Madrid in May, I'm jealous. I hope you're enjoying the sun and the longer days. I miss sitting outside in a cafe on a sunny day having a coffee and just chatting. Here in the US the waiter runs you off when you're done with your order. There's no lingering over a cup of coffee or some tapas with a friend for more than an hour. I miss that.

I'm glad you are starting a passion for pink lippies; your skin tone and mine must be veeery similar (Esteé Lauder's Double wear 1N1 and Chanel Ultra Le Teint B10 in my case) and every time you do a cool-toned makeup with pink hues you look STUNNING, much more beautiful than when you use warm colours. It's just my opinion but I think cool tones and especially pinks look great and flattering on you!
And about Madrid weather, you're very right: May and June alongside September are the best months here and the sunlight is simply marvelous. I hope you can come to Madrid again sometime soon and enjoy it as you used to when you lived here as a student. More kisses!🌞😃😘😘😘
@@rosemarie9641 I wear Double Wear 1N0. We're very close in tone. I have been embracing pinker shades in the past few years, and have been reaching for more cool toned shadows and blushes. I'm starting to pair those with lipsticks too. I never thought I'd be a fan of cool toned shades, but . . . I'm loving them!
I love Madrid (all of Spain actually) in the late spring. It's stunning and the perfect weather. Enjoy the weekend and sit outside in the sun for me! I'll do that here, but somehow it's not the same.
I mostly like lipsticks in rosewood colours (pink is different to me). But I once bought a lipstick because it was on sale and the packaging looked so beautiful... it was GUCCI! It's in the colour 502 Eadie Scarlet. I thought I wouldn't like it because of its pink colour. But I now very much like it for the spring and summer! I just dab it on the lips to get a muted wash of pigment. Highly recommend it❤

Wish Lisa Eldridge would come out with some new pinks 🙏! Luv Wonder Wheel but just too bright for me. I feel her formula is better than most lipsticks out there.
Have you tried rose official? It’s a gorgeous sophisticated cool toned pink. It’s one of my all time faves but I agree I would also love more subtle pinks from Lisa - the luxuriously lucent formula is just divine 💄 give me all the pinks/mauves!!! 🩷

I love Lisa's bullet lipstick formulas. Have you tried Painterly or Rose Official? They're more mauve toned, but so lovely. Not as bright as wonder wheel but they're some of my most used Luxuriously Lucents. Thanks so much for watching today.

@@nancyr7440 I love Rose Official. Such an easy shade to wear. I enjoy Love of My Life, but it is a cooler pink. It's bright, but has more of a blue lean to it. I like it, but most of Lisa's lipsticks look good on my neutral complexion.
I LOVE pink lipsticks. My favorite pink is actually magenta: LE New Wave. My most worn pink is LE Velvet Blush, followed by LE Velvet Beauty, and then LE Velveteen Muse. I branched out and tried LE Kitten Mischief this year and it is pretty, however it is almost too carmel for my lips. I like LE formulas so much, I decided to stick with her as other brands keep reformulating on me.
I thought I didn't love pink lipstick until I took a good look at my collection yesterday. That's when I decided to make this video. I surprised myself.
I have so many of LIsa's lipsticks. (nearly all the pinks) I try and rotate the ones I'm talking about in videos. I am stretching myself to wear more than my regular "most reached for" pinks from Lisa's line. LIke you, I love Blush, Muse. I love the Lucent formula, and tend to reach for Rose Official and Painterly so much. I don't want the two mentioned in this video to be summer only lipsticks, but right now they are. I need to wear all my LE all year round!

Is the Lucent formula your favorite? I was actually thinking of trying Painterly (love the name), however I'm concerned it will be too brown for my lips. I'm hoping she waits on new cool-toned pink lips and moves on to blushes. I hope you are well and make it a great weekend!
@@thecrystallibrarian I don't know they I can pick a favorite bullet formula from Lisa. 🤷♀️ Sorry. I do love the Lucent Lipsticks so much! There is an earthiness to Painterly, so if you're worried about it being too brown I might suggest you skip it. Take a look at Rose Official, it's a lovely mauve/pink shade that isn't too earthy.

Happy Mother's Day to you too. Traditional pinks aren't my favorite, but I've been loving these 10 so much. I LOVE YSL too. Such a beautiful formula. I haven't tried the matte slim lipsticks, but I love the rest of the lip formulas from the brand.
I'm like you, the 80s pinks were not for me. Then I discovered warm tone pinks and deep pinks that act like a red, and now I have all kinds of pinks that I just love!
I'm still hesitant to purchase a pink unless I've swatched it on my hand. That's some serious 80s pink lipstick trauma. : )
I love pinks that are warmer and deeper than a Barbie toned pink. I know so many people love that shade, but I never feel confident in it. Maybe the rest of my makeup fights with that shade of pink, but I skip it all together. Thanks so much for watching today!
Merit Baby 🤍🤍🤍is pro my top pink lipstick!!! 💄 I love L’Oreal Worth It Worth It Medium Lancome Mon Macaron (satins) my favorite “pinks” are liners Natasha Denona 2 and 2.5 and Colour Pop oh snap … its very hard for me to find pink shades I’m very neutral leaning and neutral peachy shades YSL BOLD 13 lol is my fav fav shade however I do really like the Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips in Pillow Talk … and liner in Supersize Me … TARTE liner in Dusty Rose are my pinkest pinks… Lanage lip gloss in the berry one is pink … 🤣🤣🤣thanks!!!!

Thanks for this video! I love pinks but they don't always love me. I am very fair too but I have auburn hair, so I have to wear warmer pinks. I find the Lisa Eldridge velvet rain and petal look good on me. There are others from Charlette Tilbury like gracefully pink that work. I think with your fair skin and dark hair you could wear bold pinks and look fantastic.
I LOVE Velvet Rain and Velvet Petal. I was having a hard time choosing a pink shade from my LE collection, but these are the ones that are a bit different, and are a lovely statement lip. I have so many nudes from Charlotte Tilbury, but very few pinks. I have Pillow Talk and Pillow Talk Medium, and The Queen, but other than that, it's mostly nudes. I wasn't sure about the new pink collection she launched about 6 weeks ago. I love the kissing formula, but I would have to swatch the shades in store before purchasing any. Not all pink lipsticks work for me, and I tend to prefer the nudes from CT. Thanks so much for watching today, and sharing your favorite pinks.
I also have fair skin with medium strawberry blonde hair so I stick to warm pinks. YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 08 and CT Sexy Lips are a couple of my favorites. I’ve been on the fence about Velvet Rain, so maybe I’ll pick it up!

I don't have one of the YSL Pur Couture lipsticks in a pink, but I love the nude I have. It's a lovely formula. I have a pink in The Bold formula and it was one of my favorites from last summer. (1968 Nude Statement) I love YSL's lipstick formulas so much.

@@thelipstickgal I find a lot of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks have too much white base for me, like you mentioned as well. Her superstar lips formula is great, though; I’ve had several shades and they all are so flattering.
I had missed that the new Strawberry Balm Dot Com is the OG formula! I’m getting it immediately.
When I got the email from Glossier saying that it was the OG formula, I stopped what I was doing, and went straight to the website and purchased 2 right away. I think they said it wasn't going to be limited edition. I hope this means that they'll bring back other shades in the original formula. I've missed it, and every time they have a limited run, I stock up!
