- In Episode 14 of Proxima Beyond, we're focusing on constructing our Hydrogen Fueling Station. This episode is shorter than usual and features plenty of time lapses as we dig underground and build out our fueling and drilling station.

The Time Laps where amazing! Your choice of music -> brilliant! All in all: well done Sir! 😀
This is CRAZZY engineering and use of automation.
the base is getting huge now you will never run out ice
freaken love sid myer's pirates. you may carry on.
Good job nice music well done
This is so strange for me. I prefer to watch videos that are approximately 30 minutes long. However, when it comes to yours, I enjoy the hour-long extravaganza's that you have been making. I'm at a loss. LOL The hydrogen storage facility looks great!!!
Haha, I think the future episodes might vary in lengths from now on.. sometimes shorter, sometimes hour long.
Great episode as always Beebs. Very nice looking hydro production plant. I especially like the combination of the colors of the blocks, lights, and icy background. You should be good to go for hydrogen for the next thousand years haha! Could power the whole base with hydro engines moving forward if you don’t mind the noise.
I was hoping to use some yellow color in the base, but it did not fit in the style.
The gray with the blue light really worked well. 😊
i like the time lapse music. (2nd solar array)
Suggestion: LCDs % on each container.. including gas (O2/H2) in the ice basement..
You should add more batteries to base!
With regard to the power estimate in the HUD, I'm relatively sure they only really calculate the power from whatever is stored in the batteries but I've found that just looking at the estimated power is not good enough and you need to make a note of how much stored power you have. Obviously your generated power will be supplying power to your base, from whichever source, but if you are constantly recharging your batteries then there is no power problem as you're operating at a surplus, so place more batteries to get more stored power just in case your exposed turbines and solar panels get damaged.
Yep, that was what I started to realize... And in the next episode I am already building extra batteries. 👍
I am on vacation, so I'm not able to check this.... however, I think the sorters are using more power than the connectors. So if you toggle the sorters on and off, you can save some power consumption.
That does make sense - I already took it all down now since it was only temporarily. 😊
FWIW, adding closed captions explanations of what is happening during the time lapse sections would help us to understand better what your thought processes are while you are re-re-re-re-re-designing the grid.
(Some content creators--like Mr. Chickadee--don't talk at all during their videos, just keeping up a running commentary in the closed captions. As UA-cam offers auto-translation, this means pretty much anyone can know what is going on in their own language without the creator needing to localize anything.)
As you build those solar arrays _waaaaay_ up high in the air, I can't help but wonder if your turrets are intelligent enough to *not* shoot right through them to hit enemy targets.
We shall see.. haha.
I can always move them further away if that is the case.
I would prefer to have the pipeline underground - but I don't think I want to spend too much time on this base anymore, there are still a lot more planets I need to put (smaller 😅) outposts on.
I'm not sure you needed the sorters at all. Set the connectors to "Collect All
and "Throw Out" since those containers only have ice on it. Then put the collectors in a group and have them turn on when the containers are full. This way you can save on power and make the ejectors in a line which would kinda look nice.
Most likely, that does make sense.
It was only temporarily though, already being removed in episode 15 😊
Shouldn't the turbins be 8 tiles apart from each other to get 100% efficient? And have you ever concidered to use Isys Inventory Managemnt? In my opinion it makes life so much easier...
Yes, the turbines are not efficient, I just liked the way they looked, so decided to keep them like this. 😊
When you do popup of info on the screen they are WAAAAY too fast - you need to add them for at least 20 frames so we can see them.
The popup info is more of a mocking response of me as an editor, than information.
Normally when it is a message which is actually informational, it will stay on the screen longer. 👍
First 😀
nope
Love the series untill now, really good. But why dont you put down all the hydrogen engine down below in case of attack should be protected no? just an opinion. Again nice series hope to keep un seeing more of it
Oh, that is the plan (and happens in the next episode) The current ones were just temporarily. 👍
