Marcus is the real deal. He was playing gigs with his father when he was 9 years old. He formed the Marcus King band when he was 16 years old and has played professionally since then. He is about 26 now and has established himself. He writes,sings and plays guitar at a world class level. For those people who complain that there is no good music like we had back in the 1970’s you have not listened to Marcus King.
Marcus King, Black Pumas, The Monophonics, Alabama Shakes, Sturgill Simpson, Colter Wall etc I can go on and on There is great music out there just gotta look!
I've seen Marcus 3 times live, and even had the pleasure of meeting him this summer. He's an absolute legend on today's music scene. The real ones know, it's only a matter of time before he's selling out stadiums.
My buddy asked me to go see this guy in concert. I had no idea who he was, but what the heck, I said I'll go. HOLY SMOKES, I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!!!!! This guy played three blues songs, 3 hard rock songs and 3 country songs and they were phenomenal! His band was on point! CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS GUY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MUSICIANS NOW......................... INCREDIBLE TALENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS MARCUS!
I just wish I could have just a tiny bit of this man’s song writing ability and touch with the instrument. A true work of art as a teenager trying to touch people’s hearts using the guitar and voice this is a true inspiration. 🎸🤟🏾
