I know customer want this way if you want to see normal and generally if the decal have letters numbers etc you must make mirror printing before...thanks!
I'm restoring a tank and will be needing to do this for the decals and I'm terrified I'm going to mess something up. Trying to absorb everything I can to try to burn the process into my memory before I get to this step. It's wild watching you just leisurely just going about doing everything because I know I'll be going extra extra slow when I do it.
Don't worry its not big deal this tank its my fourth i do with this method... Its easy if you do something wrong you can always fix it... First steps its to paint after you paint leave it dry and after dry there is no way to do wrong you can do only wrong with the decal but thats easy you can always take off and apply some new no harm done... Try to practice 2-3 times its not very difficult...apply clear coat at the end be careful at the decal edges to stick well before clear coat and don't have gaps..
O.k thanks no the procedure is the same we paint normally primer paint sticker and varnish on top.. This is not special paper its a copy paper that goes in laser printer ant it have a transparent film that when you put it in the water it takes off and you put it in the item you want..
@@dimebag108 you must spray the edge of decal with the same color the background is, for example in this tank that is black you must spray ,the edge with black colour so with this trick you erase the edges...
I dont get how spraying the top side of decal paper then sticking it on the paint works, the sticky side is between the decal and backing, what he sprayed white was the top
No comments? Well the job looks cool but the painter left out a few steps. He changed the decal up trimmed the top and sides and didn't show us how he hid the edge of the paper. Looks cool anyway
About the decal i saw that it was a little bit big about this tank an i cut the letters on the top with a razor blade and draw some flames... About the edge if have some spots that is not glue with tank gust push it a little bit with your fingers before clear coat Thanks!
6:20 you forgot the flip the Font so not the bottom is backwards??
Costumer wants the letters backwards
should have flipped the image before printing the year is backward.

You didn't wet the tank itself b4 applying decal ...big no no
How did you get rid of the tiny steps from the decal edges underneath the clear coat?
2 hands of clear coat 1200 grip paper wet sanding and 2 hands clear again

Why do you paint one face in white on the print image?
Couse if you put black background decal on black tank it will not appear the image one of two must be different colour.

First Primer after Paint apply water print image and last clear coat..
