- So basically this was an art project where I cut a recess into a motorcycle tank and resin casted roses a deaths head moth a switch blade and some poppies. Metal fab, body work, resin casting, paint and video done by Rick Valdez @juiceslickrick The soundtrack is from the movie Red Dragon and the ending song is from Silence of the Lambs by Q Lazzarous- Goodbye Horse.

I've seen 100s of thousands of motorcycle tanks this is by far the most artistic original designs I've ever seen put together. I feel blessed to have witnessed your genius
I just posted this to my fb account saying the same thing. My dad once won best paint at a world of wheels car show and he even said this was on another level of authenticity. Badass work man, respect to all those who were involved with this job!

I'm not going to give a thumbs down but honestly did not like what was put inside the expoy. Just to emo for my tastes maybe if I was 14 but I doubt it.

This is next level customizing. He has even maintained the profile of the tank on the resin pour. That would be really easy to sand flat if you didn't know what you were doing. Amazing work.

I'm surprised someone brought back that old 60's trick of using resin casting on a motorcycle tank. I used a metal dome shaped about 3 & 1/2 inch cup my buddy brought over with a new peanut tank. He had purchased a dried scorpion from a medical supply house. I brazed the cup to the hole I cut in the tank, leaving about an 1/8th of an inch lip, ground down the weld a bit, pressure tested the tank, then using masking tape on the edge so I could over fill the resin, which I did in two parts, the first to hold the object in place and cover his (or her) legs. The next day I finished filling it. .I clear lacquer over the whole project including the airbrushed soften edge around the cup. To be honest it took way too many hours, but he was a Vietnam Veteran I served with, so for my brother it was a gift. A great personal project and a nice job.

Although it may not be the first time that this was done, I have never seen it before and am now thinking of ways to use this on other projects like my hotrod and my chopper. Bravo Sir. Thanks man! No effect with vibration or fuel as long as it’s welded and sealed properly. The the weather elements will effect it if left out for extended periods of time. 🤘🤘

This is absolutely amazing! 2 quick questions, is that a special kind of paint that "chars" up when you heat it? And is that just a heat gun you use on it? (I'm looking to repaint my car and feel like that would be a killer way to accent color the hood)

Since I have your attention @Alchemy Kustom, I might be interested in letting you do some work on a project I have going on. I've been thinking about finding ohe of these resin artist here on YT to do a more functional piece where precise placement and extreme clarity is needed for the item to function properly might actually be a challenge. Now I don't k ow about making it a full blown video but I would allow some parts that need to be cast to be shown. It's just a project that needs privacy lol. I'll look for your contact info.....
