Thank you so much. It has been a bit of a mission for a long time. Im so glad it came out pretty much as i envisioned it. Thanks for checking the vids out, it is much appreciated.
It did make me very happy to see it all together. It worked out pretty much as expected. its always a bit of an unknown when working with multiple layers and colours, one never knows if the final results will match the reference well enough. thanks so much for checking it out, and the kind words.
Yes, sadly it has left me forever, so i am a little sad loosing my old friend. On the other hand, its owner is now very happy. Which is perfect for me. Thank you for checking the videos out :-)
Thanks man. It did take a considerable amount of time, but all worth it in the end. You can spend hours just looking at all the little details on it. I love it.
I've enjoyed watching this amazing piece of art come together. I'm pretty sure every Trek fan would want one of these masterpieces in their living room. I could look at it all day long🙂
Yes sir Carl, the ear assault came from me. Doing the final Star trek tune was a complete nightmare, took forever, but didn't sound too cheezy in the end. :-)
This is one spectacular build the painting and lighting detail brings me back to 1979 when Scott flies kirk over a familiar looking yet totally different enterprise.
Stunning two years of hard work all come together. Simply the best I have ever seen and takes me back to the movie with so many memories. The client is going to be blown away having this on display and I am sure it will be the centrepiece of any collection. Your hard work and dedication have paid off. Brilliant work and to remember Ian Lawrence god bless his soul, I am sure he looking down from modelling heaven and giving it his seal of approval. Well done simply brilliant.
This is exactly why (as much as I want one) I would never buy an enterprise kit, I would want it to look as incredible as this does but I just don’t have the skill! This has just left me in total awe… totally speechless!.
Hey Kevin, I'm not sure if you heard but Tomy is doing a fully-funded campaign right now for this same USS Enterprise also in 1:350 scale. It's $699 plus $50 shipping, and it's already prebuilt. The catch is you have to wait until about October 2025 to receive it. The campaign is on until September 15, so still have time to secure one 😎👍🏼
@@APmodels welcome! Can I just ask you, as a pro modeller, do you have any ideas or tips for giving the effect of lit windows on an unlit static model.? As these models are generally displayed without the lights on I try to still give the impression of light and life inside… I’ve tried various things, such as painting the window inserts shiny chrome, pale yellow or pale blue gloss paint… all of which add a certain amount of realism but I do understand that you can never match a lit model… just wondered if you had any suggestions. Cheers.
Beutiful work! The Motion Picture Enterprise has been rendered many times that I've seen over the years. I like your version of it very well. I also appreciate the craftsmanship of it all. Cheers!
HI there, thanks for the kind words. You are correct, there were a number of compromises for various reasons on this model, and that was one of them. Thanks for checking it out though, it means a lot to me that people are watching the videos.
Hi Kevin. I believe its 1/200 but i could be wrong. Search for De-Boers Enterprise and you should get some kind of info. Thanks for checking it out :-)
Absolutely fantastic build! Probably as close to the original paint job as I’ve seen anybody do. I have loved watching every part of this build. So, after a massive long-term project, like this, what’s next?
There are a number of large projects i have in mind, and a few smaller ones which wont take years to complete LOL. Not too sure just yet. thanks for checking the videos out Trevor. :-)
Ok I’m not going to lie, that looks absolutely stunning. My favourite spaceship in all of tv/cinema history. There is something I’ve noticed though. Shouldn’t the arboretum lights be blue? That aside I give this 99.99/100
Hi there, thanks for checking this out. You are correct. in reality the windows and arboretum are much less yellow than they appear on screen. It's something to do with the way LED light is picked up with the sensors in the digital camera, compared to real film. The warm light has a lot of subtle yellow tones and they seem to max out on video. Something to note in the future for filming the models. Thank you so much for checking the videos out, and taking the time to comment.
Thanks. There are some decals and some airbrushed logos. In one of the previous videos i go through those parts of the build. Thanks for checking it out. :-)
HI there. Yes it is missing a few lights. The first brief i had to make this model it had no lighting at all. So i designed the internal metal armature without provision for them. Then the brief changed and i had to cram as much as i could into the space i had left. If the brief had the lighting from the start it would have been more complex. But i need to move with what the client wants, and he doesn't like illumination on his models, he is more into the paint jobs, so he's super happy. Thanks for checking out the videos. :-)
It all looks fantastic, but the font size and style on the rear of the nacelles looks incorrect. Look too small and not a bold/extra bold font. Should be a larger and bolder font style there. If you had reference images from STTMP, you can clearly see that font style is a much larger and much bolder typeface.
I love the idea of always making your stand heavier than the model itself.
I have never seen such attention to detail & craftsmanship.. Looks just as good as the studio model.. Incredible work!…
Thank you so much. I was very relieved the colours came together in the right way when it was done.
Fantastic job Andy, nice of you to mention Ian, he was a very good friend to many of us. Sadly. missed.
Thanks Liam. Ian was a great help, a really nice bloke and friend to all.
Stunning masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much. It has been a bit of a mission for a long time. Im so glad it came out pretty much as i envisioned it. Thanks for checking the vids out, it is much appreciated.
Nice build 😮
Exceptional detail - congrats on the successful completion.
Thank you very much! Richard :-)
Loss for words, Stunning to say the least. And that base!!! I absolutely love this.
Utterly stunning
Thank you odesseus. Im glad you liked it. :-)
Absolutely beautiful. You did the painting with a pearlescent effect, as it should be.
First rate work, mate. Seeing this beautiful lady lit up in all her finery goes right to my heart.
It did make me very happy to see it all together. It worked out pretty much as expected. its always a bit of an unknown when working with multiple layers and colours, one never knows if the final results will match the reference well enough. thanks so much for checking it out, and the kind words.
Oh, She's Beautiful!! Excellently done, love the beauty shots! Great work Sir!

bloody hell mate! thats unreal! the time and skill in that is awsome.
Thanks man. It did take a considerable amount of time, but all worth it in the end. You can spend hours just looking at all the little details on it. I love it.
That's one fantastic build! Second only to the studio model.
Looks incredible!
She is a stunner, thats for sure. Thanks for checking it out :-)

Hi David. Yes its a stunner in the flesh, so much to look at its almost overwhelming to the eye. Thanks for checking the videos out.
I got chills, sir. Thank you.
Thank you sir, i did my best to make it feel a bit like the movie.
Yes mate, that is really superb. I found myself noddin along to the music then thought "I bet he did the music too". 🎶🎧🎥
Yes sir Carl, the ear assault came from me. Doing the final Star trek tune was a complete nightmare, took forever, but didn't sound too cheezy in the end. :-)
splendid brother just splendid
Thank you edwardherbert. :-)
She's a beauty! Stunning amount of details and you can clearly see the care taken in the build.
Thank you Elixir. :-)
Now that is a thing of beauty
Music sounds cool
It took me ages to do that tune. Im not a musician so thank you very very much for the kind words LOL. Im glad you like it.
This is one spectacular build the painting and lighting detail brings me back to 1979 when Scott flies kirk over a familiar looking yet totally different enterprise.
Yes, what a great bit of cinema that was. Thanks for the kind words, it did take a time, but well worth it in the end.
Great Bird of the Galaxy! That is an astounding piece of work. Congratulations!
Thank you sir. It does look the part in the flesh. The client is very happy.

Yes, some things change when we least expect. Ian was a good help with this. Cheers Wayne, much obliged to you mate.
Stunning piece of work Andy. You have incredible skills. Well done indeed
Fabulous! Probably the most accurate build I've seen.
Thanks, I tried to get the colours to have that filming miniature feel. Thanks for checking it out and the lovely comment.

Love it….and I’m not a Trekie. What a huge inspiration you are to us modellers and the community

Superb finish Andy, funny how some models put up a fight, your patience has really paid off in spades.
Cheers man. It was a slog, but well worth it. Thanks for checking it out.
Amazing work! What a gorgeous model. Would love to see you and NJM Photo do a motion control collaboration of some kind.
That would be cool!. Thanks for checking it out. :-)
Andy what a masterpiece!
Thank you so much. I did try to make it the most complex paint job i've ever done. Thanks for checking it out wilkstertwins. :-)
I want one of these!
Such a beautiful build.
Unfortunately you've lit the nacelles ( 9:08 ) incorrectly. Light should be coming out of the small slits.

Amazing job I got a couple of 1350th scale refits that I have to do. Amazing job Very nice piece I really enjoyed the videos
Thanks aaron. Good luck with the 1/350 versions, im sure they will look the business. Cheers for checking the videos out.
Excellent build Andy! I've enjoyed watching your work on this and I've learned alot!
Thanks for checking the videos out. I try to show a bit of what i do. I hope that it may give a few pointers along the way.

Wow Andy that is amazing mate..its been a pleasure to see it take shape..the paint job is gobsmacking
Thanks for the kind words. It did take a massive amount of time, but came together great in the end. :-) Thanks for watching.
Awsome build not sure I like the duck egg blue on the pylons though since I thought they were black.
Nope, they were never black. Take a look at some screenshots.
Beautiful Job! Are those decals or dry transfer rubdowns?
Thanks. There are some decals and some airbrushed logos. In one of the previous videos i go through those parts of the build. Thanks for checking it out. :-)
@@APmodels I will check it out.
That is a stunning replica you have built 👍, is there a reason why the front nacelle spot lights only have one per nacelle? there should be 2.
I want one! And a model of ds9
That is yuge!
Yep, its a whopper. Thanks for watching the vids.
But.... Where's the rest of the lights?
HI there. Yes it is missing a few lights. The first brief i had to make this model it had no lighting at all. So i designed the internal metal armature without provision for them. Meh. A 1/1 scale would have been impressive.
