We keep the crazy toys downstairs too and we have a playroom/homeschool room with stem and open ended toys. We also used a towel closet to store toys at our old house. As the kids get older the toys start looking more traditional. My 5.5 year old would never let me get rid of a new toy or return it, but now injury to keep it more minimal, stem, and open ended.
I love the Montessori/Reggio inspired setup! The natural colors aren’t overstimulating and the play spaces encourages curiosity and long engagement. As a former preschool teacher we’d leave the same setup out for at least a week (max 2 weeks) to really support their attention and exploration of toys. If there’s something that they constantly engage with we’ll definitely leave it out longer. Love love love it.

I would love to see a similar video but for outside! Like your favorite sensory activities, things you have outside to entertain your kids, favorite outdoor activities, etc! I feel like all your play videos are super helpful for me because we have a very similar approach and style! :)
I can definitely do this as it gets cooler :) it’s brutal here right now so we are hardly outside 🤪

It’s not so much “parenting” children (with the toys and aesthetic) as it is just how you like to decorate and style your home. Your playroom is obviously thought out and decorated how you like it and a large space in your home. Just because you have babies now doesn’t mean your house needs to fully be a rainbow play place. I get it and I’m the same way. I like browns and beige and plants all over my house! It’s relaxing and comforting to me. I used to get upset when family and friends would send clothes and toys I just didn’t like at all but the older my 3 babies get I’ve let others know what I would like for my children. Everyone has their own style and there’s nothing wrong with that! “Getting hate” seems ridiculous but I understand where people are coming from if your playroom and things are literally wood and every shade of brown but it’s obviously not. Anyway, long point but there’s nothing wrong with liking things and not liking things.. obviously! 🤍🍃
Definitely not the only way I parent my kids but it is one way, as we play all day long and I’m very intentional with how we play, if that makes sense 🥰 kinda hard to explain fully
@@KileanRodriguez definitely! It’s your choice on what you want them to play and how you teach them things! Totally get it. Only reason you have to explain yourself is because you share online, is what I think. You’re doing great you can see your children are not deprived from learning :)

Hello! This is a lovely playroom. But I'm just concerned with the play couches being placed along the rails. I remembered a story I read where a kid almost fell over the rail because the kid climbed on top of the couch. I hope I am able to explain well English is not my native tongue.

I don't have kids at home but do have grandchildren and I am trying to get them toys that will last more than a fad...like cartoon toys etc. I like to buy classics and when they are older, I want to start books. I gave them books I had bought for my kids (Berenstein Bears, Dr. Suess, etc) and i want them to have toys and books to pass down. Now a subscriber. Looking forward to seeing your next video.

I am once my daughter is crawling! Rocky never expressed interest in them and we are always sitting with them! But our stairs and rail don’t connect flushly if that makes sense so I think I’d have to do it from the stairs to the wall? 🥴
