I'm not sure how many people noticed it but in front of Ruby when she's looking at the magazines, some of them show Truth from FMA on it

Something fun the show has basically all original music made for it and the singer at the time of the red trailer was 14 or 15 and still does music for the show so enjoy the progression. To add the songs for the show also have character motivation and a bit more insight into their mentality.
I love watching RWBY reactions. Since I have seen the show so much its great to listen to at work. But with your intense analysis I cant help but keep pausing to make sure I don't miss anything. Cant wait for you to continue the series and look forward to listening

In case someone hasn't mentioned it, nearly every character is based off a fairy take, literary, or even RL individual. Ruby is of course Little Red Riding Hood, Weiss Schnee is Snow White (Weiss Schnee in German is White Snow), Yang is Goldilocks, Professor Ozpin is the Wizard (Wizard of OZ), and Glynda Goodwitch is also from Wizard of OZ as she is Glynda the Good Witch.
Roman Torchwick is a regular so is also based off of a fairy tale while 'Vomit Boy' will reveal his name and who he is based upon next episode.
As a writer it may be fun to guess each new character who they might be based after.
For the episodes for a lot of season 1 they are 2 parters so like 2 and 3 are technically 1 episode as this was a passion project so started very low budget, thus the shadow background people.

I've been hoping you'd get to reacting/analyzing the show since I saw your breakdowns of the Red and White trailers! You're also the first person i've seen notice Roman in the Yellow trailer and make the connection between it and the beginning of this episode. There will be a callback to it later, and yes, they are canonically incompetent based on that later dialogue lol.
I really enjoyed your character and story analysis. without giving anything away, I think you're definitely asking the right questions. can't wait to follow along the rest of the show with you

I remember waiting for every episode to release from V1-4 before stepping away for school and other stuff. Now, I've seen up to midway V8 and still enjoy the series, even with the issues that appear.

There's no magic. There is dust, which is kinda like elemental gun powered. Everyone has a 'semblance' it's pretty much a 'My Hero Acadamia' Quirk.
I hope you have a great time with your watch through of Rwby. My only advice is to ignore anyone who comes in to complain or deter you from continuing past Vol 3/Season 3. Rwby is a great series, it has flaws yes, but the good outways the bad imho. Just keep watching and have fun!

Genuinely, this is my favorite show of the last decade, possibly ever. It's so fun coming back to V1 and then seeing how much it's grown since then. Hope you have fun with this crazy journey.
Just a heads up, there's usually an after credits scene for the finale of each volume. And question, forgive me if you've already mentioned this, are you going to react to the volume soundtracks as well? Because honestly the music for this show is worthy of their own reactions. If so, FlyntofRwby usually has the best lyric videos for the first six volumes. If you can use theirs, I would.
Oh! I'm probably going to do the soundtracks too, but might split them into multiple videos since knowing me I'd go wayy overboard with the breakdown XD
@CeruleanPrince Oh that’s awesome. Take as much time as you need to dissect the soundtracks. The music is one of the biggest highlights about this series so no complaints from us, I assure you.
