I just love the way they incorporate funky versions of the leitmotifs into Chibi
chibi is an essential part of the RWBY healing process
I love how all of the other villains’ dreams were about receiving the love and admiration of their boss, Cinder, while in contrast, Cinder’s dreams were purely about herself and her selfish goals of power. Even the other people in her dreams were just other versions of Cinder that worked under the original.
Damn, Cinder really does hate everyone, doesn’t she? 😂

Fun fact: It's highly believed that girl's night episode is a reference back to chibi season 2. In one episode Oz is having a meeting with Qrow and Tai. Oz says that the firefighters put out the fire and that the cats would grow back their hair.

@@johnyshadowwe got it in a sense... but only one chibi scenario per ep and compounded with other RT animations along the same funny lines as chibi, which is still indearing in it's own nature, but chibi is no longer its own thing, sadly.

I just recently found your channel from the opening of volume 9, so far I am up to the start of volume 4 on backlog reactions but I decided to binge the chibis as I needed it today. My dad is in the hospital after a car wreck (stable but still not out of the woods) and the cuteness of chibi helps take to make things less stressful as I await further news. I am taking a break from my catch up as volumes 4-8 might not be the best for my mental health right now.

Update: he is out and recovered very well, still building strength but paise God for healing.

Dr Nefarious Tropy and well, Dr Nefarious combined don't have as much nefariousness as Cinder Fall. The chibi one anyway the main one is just a dick.
In school, I really clicked with the concept that art is primarily defined by its ability to generate emotions. To me RWBY is art, full stop. But Chibi... it's so strange the effect it has. Cliche phrases like "icing on the cake" or such can be used to describe it, but don't really encompass just how much it can add to the experience. Your comment about watching it after Season 8 got me thinking. Chibi 3 came out after Vol 5, which was when I first watched it. And here you are watching after Vol 8. In a sense, its wildly "outdated" and yet it still gives feels. But those 3 volumes have changed so much that we have experienced different "first reactions". Even now, I can feel competing emotions: the old "grateful to have any Penny at all" vrs the new "knife on spin cycle because she's not coming back this time".
Sorry for the brain babble. Its been a blast watching you join us all on the RWBY Coaster, with its ups and downs. And now... we get to go into Vol 9. Together. Keep moving forward, no matter how much it hurts. We're combat ready!

You should check out camp camp it's by rooster teeth. It's a bit more adult then Ruby but it's funny and has great moments that'll get you in your feels
