    I just want to say that there are so many things out there in the world that make us feel so isolated but then there's Ms. Macy. She lives to give hope to me.. Sometimes my loneliness consumes me but when I see her I'm filled with hope

    LOVE you so much Joanna~~~~!!!!! Took a class with her in 1999 at California Institute of Integral Studies in SF. She helped me to crack open my heart to let the grief of the destruction of the planet and flora and fauna out so I can survive as a conscious human and an activist.

    I've recently discovered Joanna Macy via Toko-Pa Turner and Robin Wall Kimmerer. I am so relieved to hear the voice of a female, elder... so articulate of the grand scheme of things, so studied on the whole story of how we got here, and most importantly... offering a steady light to guide us 'through' this disintegration. Thank you for interviewing her.

    Her words are priceless. She brings us to our senses. Modern leaders and their religion of economic growth, have been led us astray for too long. We need to take our power back and foster love for our community and care for our environment. We should grow our own food and teach our children.

    Dear Joanna, thank you for this beautiful talk.
    Great ideas: the deep time role play and the 'ready to talk/listen' seats-on-the-streets.
    Might be something to work with in my local community. Many garden owners, most
    stíll buying those you-know-whats off the garden centre shelves (the fact that these
    products are still for sale should be a clear indication that those 'in charge' do nót
    have humankind's best interest at heart...)... Glad to hear you mention the poisoning;
    só many people have lóts to say about carbon footprint, yet that seems to be as far
    as they'll go... 🌳🌚💚🕊🍀

    8:00 somos mucho más que nuestra identidad conocida. El despertar hacia la Tierra sufriendo es parte del Despertar a nosotros mismos. Es claro que las economías y el capitalismo y la competencia son destructivas. Hay que reconocerlo. El colapso del capitalismo es evidente. El gran cambio es inminente. Nuestra realización no puede ir por otro camino que no tenga que ver con responder a los desafíos planetarios, no hay camino individual a no ser que el que lleva a la evasión, el pánico, la neurosis o las adicciones. Hay que transitar y transitar implica sufrir con, pero también lleva esperanza y vida ante todo. Si tenemos una visión y una pasión hay que hacer que se convierta en acción, pasar a través de ello, traspasar. Perder seguridades. Los códigos y valores conocidos no funcionan más. Hay que tomar otros que sobretodo es reconectar con los originales (auténticos) y reorganizar nuestro ser a partir de ello dejar que las capacidades se alinien a partir de ahí, usar nuestras habilidades para que la gente despierte. La sociedad industrial provoca las adicciones. La angustia es necesaria sentirla, porque es a través de ella como podemos reaccionar.
