Dude, the male android could not be more spot on if Christopher Nolan himself personally cast him. Everything from from the face and hair to the outfit to the mannerisms to the voice inflection to the actual lines he speaks. Outstanding. The female android is really good too. I don’t know about their acting chops otherwise, but those two could be in a legit major Hollywood DBZ movie as the androids and fit right in.

100% way better than the over budget, under acted. This is by far what should have been done from the start. Can't wait to see if the story line will continue. I have seen the animated version and this version does not disappoint one bit. Keep it up guys.

This scene here almost made me cry. Jack did a fantastic job as Future Trunks and the reaction to losing Future Gohan to the Androids was phenomenal, you can just feel the stricken grief and rage in Trunks before he finally transforms into a Super Saiyan.
Right before that scene too, when it zooms into Gohan's eye and then you see Trunks sensing that Gohan just died!

Honestly for not having a normal movie budget, these short films are near perfect. Effects, editing, acting, and story line is so amazing. If there ever is live adaptations, hopefully they turn out just as good if not better than this. They'd probably take top of the box offices for every saga they turn into a movie

The actors look spot on and their acting is spot on, especially the androids, the visual effects are great and don't take you out of the experience, the fight scenes are amazingly fluid and impactful, and even though I've seen the ending a dozen times in a dozen different ways i cried anyways. This is a masterpiece!

Future Trunks going super Saiyan over Gohan's death is one of the most iconic and emotional moments ever in the franchise. I can't help but to tear up a little every time. Lol
The original gohan had a horrible life, uncle kidnapped him at 4 years old then piccolo then see’s everyone he knows get smoked by 5,6 years old , almost dies on namek, then his dad dies again then everybody else dies AGAIN, then they finally get him 😂then erased my man’s whole timeline 🤦♂️

This is interesting that Toei would come after you guys like that. Like here is a fan film which has given dragonball even more exposure and has proven you can make a great live action adaptation of it. If anything they should be congratulating you all. It felt like watching the show when some crazy shit happened out of nowhere suddenly....like WTF HIS ARM?!?!?!
I like how they implemented the heart virus into a bigger plotline here. Not just something that affected goku, but rather something that is also ravaging the future. Nice!
The virus thing was always confusing. Why did Goku only get it but none of the other people he was close to.
Everyone keeps saying this is awesome. As a film student and aspiring writer I want to take a moment and say WHY this is awesome. Here's a short list;
1. You stayed true to the source material. That is SO hard to do in a film adaptation, and I'm sure even this is going to get its share of purists and haters because what doesn't, but from a long-time fan of the manga and anime? You guys nailed the spirit of Dragon Ball Z especially in this particular saga.
2. Speaking of which, the filler written for the movie feels like it actually belongs in the world. It isn't just tacked on. In the first few episodes, you've set up the world and a number of plot lines, such as the heart virus antidote and Gohan's motivations for why he does what he does, that set things in motion. When the big moment for Trunks to transform finally comes you feel it all the more because of all the setup and I'm not ashamed to admit that scene still makes me cry after seeing it in the anime countless times. Good job breathing new life into that!
3. The effects. Wow, just wow! Everything from the frame transitions to the visual representations of stuff that should be too wild for a live-action film is so well-placed that, even as I was breaking it down while watching, I couldn't find anything that genuinely killed my suspension of disbelief. The closest I got was the green screen during Gohan's final fight and, just as I was thinking "ok that effect is obvious" you threw the road signs in as a visual storytelling device and totally sucked me back into it. Likewise, Super Saiyan. That one's hard to pull off right but this is exactly how I always wanted it to look right down to the haunting, alien-looking eyes.
If there is any weak point to this at all, and this is by a narrow margin, it's that the dialogue sometimes seems a little forced. That's a mistake anyone could make and honestly? These last two episodes show a marked improvement over the first one and even they got better as it went. The scene where Bulma yells at Gohan is completely believable and looks like it belongs in a big-budget movie. It's all about hitting those emotional beat changes and the actress you've got for Bulma is doing that well.
I can't say enough good about these and I really hope you'll be able to continue in the age of post-neutrality where the companies that can't go after the little guys who can. This is far and away the best DBZ fan film project I've seen. I'm excited to see what you do next and honestly plan to check out your other projects.

Only discrepancy with the anime being that Gohan doesn't lose his arm AND die in the same fight. Iirc there's some down time in between. But that's a minor detail considering it's all fit into half an hour. This is definitely well made.
El Prof indeed they did it in the same fight, but I personally feel like it went swimmingly. The way they did it makes a lot of sense I think, just as much as what really happened. And in instances like this, I always like to think it's an alternate time line😂 similar to how I think of manga-anime adaptations.
It would be amazing if it got made into a full length feature, with a Hollywood buget but the same cast. The actor playing Trunks is amazing, as is the actor playing Gohan. If it got made now, the kid playing Trunks could actually play Trunks from the future (he was, what, about 10 when the pilot was made, so he's mid to late teens now)

It's been years, and yet I still find myself coming back here to revisit this beautiful work you all did! All the actors are excellent, the scenes, and the soundtrack... you guys are amazing. Kenny, Tyler, RuthAnn, Amy and Jack did an incredible job! To this day, I follow them on Instagram out of appreciation for the work they did. I miss the time when this movie was released, eagerly following you all to see more behind-the-scenes and interviews, wondering what Tim Neff would be like as an adult Trunks and dreaming about who you would choose to play Vegeta if you continued into the Cell saga haha. I got teary eyes on the last scene when Trunks found Gohan dead...to think this is a fan made...it's amazing. Hope you'll continue working on this series, especially now that we're still waiting for Super to come back.

This was amazing
Years ago I saw the first episode and randomly it popped up into my head a few days ago and I found out that you guys made parts 2 & 3. I decided to watch it today with some good food and wow this was great. The story line, effects and fight choreography were great and I feel like you guys portrayed the characters very well. It was awesome to see how Bulma ran CC and was working on the heart virus, as well as the time machine. I feel like Gohan could've been portrayed slightly different, and I didn't like how Bulma seemed to be blaming Gohan for certain things. Trunks' character kinda did a 180 in this movie. But I respect the angle you took with the characters regardless. And I loved all parts of the movie. Great job. Hope to see more from y'all in the future. 💯

I saw the first version of this years ago and it made me realize that regular people have better minds than "Big time" Hollywood producers and Directors.
I don't think it's that entirely.
I think that the people in Hollywood know that they can slap a brand name on a pile of shit Nd still make a buck, while the folks who made light of hope are hungry for success and literally make the best out of every thing they have available.

It's pretty cringe man not going to lie. I mean it's better than evolution but the acting is pretty bad and it just has a cheap low budget feel to it.

I just found this.. just wow! Very well made and it shows the amounts of love for the series. Brought me back to my younger years. Time to rewatch the series!

This was simply amazing. Such a huge step up from the first episode. It might be a stretch but this was even better than some of the latest MCU films. I'll take this over Quantumania.
Also, Bulma really stood out to me. She showed a side which we didn't get to see in the anime.
The actors were amazing, the costumes were spot on and completely faithful to the source material, the story superb and the geography incredibly dynamic. Excellent job!

I can never get used to seeing gohan dying slowly and seeing the life leave his eyes makes it more difficult to watch no matter how many times I see it.
The final scene where Trunk goes Super Saiyan Crying over Gohan's body makes me cry everytime both Anime and Live action
