I’m going with IE Power Kit stage 2, REV9 GTI mufflerless exhaust catback- ICE engine works headers and Catted DP. And some little engine mods like valve covers and pistons and shit
wish i watched this before starting the power kit install. Got everything stripped down and cleaned up and then they told me to attach the larger hose of the intake boot to the "Air Pump" which made no sense because there was simply nothing in the engine bay to connect this too. Gonna see if i can find that 1 1/4" barbed plug and try again today. I'm mechanically inclined but definitely not a mechanic so it was nerve racking to think i would just plug the hole and let it dangle next to the rad fan but if it worked for you, it should work for me (might use a zip tie for added peace of mind that the hose doesn't interfere with the fan). MY QUESTION: you ran some of the supplied tubing from the supplied barb on the underside of the manifold back to your "brake booster" line. This is throwing me for another loop as this doesn't look familiar to my engine bay. Did you do this in your specific case because of previous mods???? Other than cat back exhaust my MK6 golf is bone stock. From what i can tell I will just be using the 4 supplied counter sink plugs under there and then capping off the barb (since they dont provide enough 1/8" plugs) similar to how the stock intake was capped off on the passenger side.
I ran that line because my vacuum pump has been deleted. If you are still running the factory vacuum pump than you can just cap the barb like you stated.
@@VoyageRC hell yeah. Honestly, you just probably saved me a thousand bucks in getting my local vw guys to do this for me. Yesterday was the second attempt. First try didn't have a skinny enough extender to get the stock manifold off. Yesterday was stumped by the number of bungs/plugs/barbs and the whole "air pump" hose thing. The IE pdf was good and detailed but just didn't have these few key tips. Thank you so much, and thanks for the quick reply!
@@VoyageRC do you think anyone has actually been able to torque that bolt under runner 3 down to spec? Or just load it up with locktite and get it the best you can?
@@VoyageRC awesome, i’ve been trying to do more research on it, one more question i got is when i takes the stock engine cover off, there’s a hole in the back on the engine, it’s gets plugged by a hard plastic pipe on the engine cover, with the intake and everything on there’s no need for the engine cover, is there a plug or anything i need to plug that whole? i don’t really know how to explain it but😂
Awesome!! Thanks. I've seen your previous video oh the integrated engineering intake manifold after installing the IE intake manifold and the tune I should be all set??
Hi, friend. I am a subscriber and a viewer of your UA-cam channel. I have a similar car Volkswagen Golf 5 2.5 rabbit on the machine. At the moment I am engaged in the restoration and tuning of this car. Living in Russia (Moscow), the opportunity to get these parts for tuning is very small. I saw it on sale a couple of times on Ebay , but I never agreed on delivery. I wanted to find out from you how effective this tuning is, what changes after installing the parts? Is it worth installing and searching for these parts on your car?
This intake looks great and sounds great too! Is it the Power Kit or individual install for you?

@@VoyageRC exactly what I’m aiming for. Have you ever seen that IE N/A 9200 rpm pull. High compression engine build on 07k?

@@posmk6 it’s not a high torque bolt. The problem is getting a torque wrench on it. A little loctite and snug it up. It will be fine.
Also I think it would be a lot better to do a voiceover of what you are doing while the time-lapse plays. Good video!
Noted. Thank you! Always love to hear feedback.
How is yours map only must know
@@JuanSosa-z4u the later 2.5s did away with the MAF sensor. MAP only.
so the (stage 2 power kit) comes with the intake manifold, intake filter, the IE cable AND the stage 2 tune
Yes, the power kit has everything you need to go stage 2 👍🏻👊🏻

My 2013 2.5 VW manual 5 speed doesn’t have a MAF. Will this affect the installation if the MAF flange/housing isn’t present? Or is it there?
My car has no MAF either.
Will this set up fit a mk5 with an auto transmission or does it have to be a manual??
The only thing it can’t be is hydraulic power steering. This intake is intended for the stage 2 setup. It wont work on the factory intake manifold.

@@Christian-zt9dr stage 2 would be the intake manifold with the tune. Being an auto, you will want to do the transmission tune as well.

If your looking for good power without going turbo then this is a great setup. It drives great and sounds good too. I dont have any complaints.
