I absolutely LOVE the treluxe foam! Has definitely become my favorite product in the line. I also tried their new deep conditioner and honestly it was one of the worst conditioners I've ever tried. I didn't see many reviews on it besides one other youtuber talking about it and she basically described what I was going through. My hair absolutely hates coconut oil (doesn't like their hair cream but is okay with their leave in) and it becomes webby and super tangled. I don't know why but that deep conditioner did that to my hair even though the ingredients looked promising and i didn't see coconut oil in the ingredients. I had high hopes. I highly recommend trying the foam with the gel on top! You get clumps and longevity! It's also a great topper for other gels if you find your hair becoming stringy. A little does go a long way. I think 2-4 pumps is good for my entire head
Oh that’s interesting and good to know! Thanks for sharing. It kind of reminds me how the Bounce Curl Ayurvedic Mask works for me. I can’t explain why but it makes my fair feel dry and frizzy. So weird… but good to know! And thanks for the recommendation 😊 I’ll have to give it a try. I was thinking about it while doing this routine that they would probably pair well together.
My hair also hates coconut oil. I can use it in well formulated rinse out conditioner, assuming it's lower on the list, but that's it. It makes my hair feel disgusting, almost waxy, especially by day 3. My hair seems to reject it (even though I'm highish porosity) & won't soak it in
Thanks for showing the different combinations! I just started experimenting with TreLuxe products which I’m loving but I didn’t know where to start! Thanks!
I had the same thought when looking at all of those products. What combination would be best for my hair? So I'm glad that my experiments were helpful to you too. ☺️
Wow! Foam on its own? What beautiful results! I have that foam but paired it with another product & it bombed for me. After seeing your results I am going to give it another try! I may have to pair it with the High Definition Gel for some humidity protection. Tfs! Love your videos! Blessings!
That's good to know that the foam didn't work great for you. I wonder if it was the foam or the pairing that caused issues. If you do end up getting out with the hi definition gel, I'd love to know how it goes ☺️
@@Linas_lovelylocks I used the Treluxe leave in, the foam & High Definition Gel in today's wash. I brush styled then scrunched the foam & gel in. I got no cast which is unusual because the High Definition Gel always gives me a good cast. I think it was because the foam was so moisturizing. Wow! It is so light & Bouncy with great volume. I thought it was going to bomb again because it looked not so good when I finished diffusing. Looks can be deceiving 😊. Praying it holds up in the humidity tomorrow. Blessings!
You look so GOOD Lina. I havnt tried foams yet. I went from Gels to Mouses then to Custards. Im kinda stuck there lol ; but I like that. I love how your hair did big bouncy full formed curls at the bottom that were so complimentary to you as a look. Your admirer Jonathan 🎉😊 PS I do a side part and find it suits me 🎉
Thanks for the compliments Jonathan 👍 I do love how it turned out with the foam and it could be worth trying on your hair. That being said, custards are pretty great. So if that works for you, I say stick with it. And I do love rocking the side part occasionally. I like how both look
I agree, your hair seems to live its best life with foams! I think i do better with mousse on my wash day and foams to refresh, still playing with the products though but I've learned I always need gel, lol. Great video, Lina, and your hair looks great with the side part, too 😊
I do still prefer to pair a gel with a foam or mousse. I like that I can get longer results that way. But I will say that as my hair has gotten healthier, it needs less hold to keep up the longevity. Thanks for the compliments and feedback. I appreciate it!
@@Linas_lovelylocks You make an excellent point about the correlation between healthier hair and needing less product, it makes so much sense. Unfortunately, I am on the opposite end of the spectrum and my hair is bone dry and thinner, which makes avoiding breakage a constant battle. I haven't figured out how to get moisture into my hair beyond wash day and it is so frustrating. Oils don't help once my hair is dry, they just coat, butters are too heavy and weigh my hair down, so other than completely re-wetting and using a leave-in conditioner everyday I can't make my hair work, lol. I've invested so much money in products that it's embarrassing and yet my problems persist; dry, dull, damaged, and frizzy. Hoping at some point my investment pays off. 🤦♀️😫🤣 Meanwhile, I enjoy your videos for all the great information and they definitely help me keep my eye on the prize of attaining healthy hair one day. 🙏
Wow - theres lots to consider in your response to Lina. Are you using a sulphate free celating shampoo to remove the hard water ? Are you using serum to seal in some water before diffusing ? Have you used a water resistant gel at all ? Do you maintain protein and moisture balance in a routine ? 🎉Lots Lots Lots of Questions to find out 🎉Linas admirer 🎉Jonathan
@@sock_account hmm that’s a hard one. It’s possible that your hair may just be damaged and all the products won’t make a difference until it grows out. But good habits will help with that. I follow another UA-camr named Marianelyy who has some problems with dryness between wash days. I think she tends to use a refreshing spray or a leave in or even another cream. That’s something you could try. Just glazing a leave in conditioner over your hair between washes. When I first started caring for my hair, I was washing my hair every other day and having to refresh on the days between. And slowly over time, I was able to push washes longer apart. I hope that helps! Hopefully all your hair needs is time ❤️
@@jonathanteixeira2320 All great questions, Jonathan. I do need to do another Malibu hard water treatment but other than that, yes, I use Olaplex 4c to clarify regularly and try to get In a protein mask every 2-3 weeks followed by a moisturizing one, plus I use a small amount of Chi Keratin leave-in on wash day with my styling products. I do put a hydrating oil in damp hair before diffusing because it doesn't do much for me once my hair is dry so I think I may just need to stick to re-wetting between washes and using more leave-in conditioner. Maybe I'll try not using a diffuser on those days and just air dry? Thanks for your suggestions and the reminder to do another hard water treatment.
For several years, I successfully used trelux gel, and my hair looked great on the second and third day with a little misting and scrunching. The climate that I lived in was very dry. Then I moved to a more humid climate and I had problems. My hair was getting frizzy and poofy even on the first day. I gave up on TreLux and moved to a different product that was better for the humid climate that i'm in now. Interestingly, this current product did not work well for me in the dry climate. I wonder if it's the aloe that causes frizzing. I might get their foam and try it in combo with the gel. Maybe that would help with frizzing. I have tried their serum and it made my hair frizz as well in the dry climate.
Good to know! I'm not horribly surprised tbh. All of Treluxe's older products rely only on film forming humectants for hold and likely isn't quite enough in humid environments. But in dry environments, they work really well. You could try the foam. It has actual hold ingredients like pvps and copolymers. It may work a little better in the humidity. I can't say for sure though because I live in Colorado which is pretty dry so I don't have much experience with it. Thanks for sharing your experience though! It's very helpful. ☺
Hey Lina. Your results were beautiful. Treluxe does make some good products. My favorites are the rinse, leave-in conditioner and the Curl Supreme. The gel is ok, but not a repurchase. Girl, stay away from that deep conditioner. It’s HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE💯. It has 0 slip and leaves a crazy coconut oil-like feel to your hair. Like an odd coating. I was baffled when I first used it, since their other products are for the most part, really good. For reference, I have extremely healthy, type 3 hair. I emailed them with feedback and also let them know that I wouldn’t even donate it to a homeless shelter. Yes! It’s that bad. They really need to go back to the drawing board with that one. Just an fyi, Bask & Bloom and Pattern make some great mousses. Thanks for that wonderful review🥰.
Oh wow! 😮 I think someone else said something similar about how awful the new deep conditioner was! I didn't realize how bad though... It's a good thing ya'll have let me know... I'll definitely skip it then. 🙂

Treluxe has some of the best scents every. I consider the scent rather perfumey.

what brush are you using?
I use the SoSoon Boar Bristle Brush. ☺ You can find it on Amazon for about $10. I hope that helps.
