In his recent interviews he seems like he's in over his head. He's already lashing out at the media for reporting crime and saying some things that don't really make any sense.

The poverty rates will go up as businesses close due to being unsustainable. Maybe the federal government will come to the rescue but by then there wont be much to save.

Brandon Johnson is definitely the better option no question! The Cook County board has already accomplished so much since he’s joined it. I am so excited to see what Chicago can accomplish with him as mayor!

I suppose you haven't heard of the kind of bum loans Vallas has gotten other cities and this one into. He had CPS take out over 600 million in loans that ended up in interest payments of over 1.5 billion.

Now you have someone who wants to take away even more resources in Johnson. Hard pass. Focusing on getting some money into non-tourist areas, building up the South and West Side so that the people there can thrive with more job opportunities baked into said built-up areas; businesses in the area that synergizes with the people in the area without jacking up prices
I know, bad wrap with the gangs yadda ya, but that's how it goes with any poor area. We need to make sure that more areas aren't downtrodden and neglected, offering more opportunity out of what seems like a neverending cycle for people trapped within; this gives more reason for people to feel like they can move on and move up out of that seemingly futile situation. It's a slow process that would take multiple generations to get going into a better future, and there's no better time than now to actually try and bring everybody up to at least a fair level of basic living

Sounds awesome, but unfortunately the US is a country built on white supremacy and very much still promotes it. And people are racist. Once a city passes a certain percentage of African American demographics, white people leave and funding for the city plummets and therefore everything goes down. Schools lose their funding, development is halted, nobody will invest in housing and companies relocate to more profitable areas. This phenomenon is called white flight.

He actively participated in ending segregation, back then protesting as a student and he kept working his ass off to better people's life's and he did great! He took a seat in the senate, previously republican for over 150 years, then got reelected 3 times! Millions of people have better life's thanks to Bernie. That's what he lives for.

Hearings of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee are public. You can chime in anytime and listen to him shredding CEOs of multinational corporations. One big achievement he secured recently was negotiating lower drug prices which should've happened decades ago. We pay much higher drug prices than any other country from the same corporations just because they had no backlash at all from both parties.
