I just never get tired of listening to this beautiful song, it renews the promise we have in our Lord Jesus Christ, that someday, we'll live in that land of living praising God forever along our loved ones who've gone before, AMEN !
wow... that "young" guy, is now old enough to be my father... I love the Cathedrals. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get tired of listening of them! No matter how long I listen, I will never tire of them ^__^ God really blessed them beyond what words can say!
31 people didn't like this... whata shame, it's real southern gospel at its best !!! IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. I feel sorry for those folks missing out on what real great music sounds like
🕊 ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL There's a place of dazzling beauty No human eye has ever seen With gates of pearl and streets paved with gold It's a land of milk and honey Oh, it's more than any dream It's the land of life beyond the crystal sea It's the land of life where living is forever Where the sting of death will claim no victory We are nothing more than just a passing shadow 'Til we reach the land of living beyond the crystal sea The sun is nothing but a legend in this paradise of dreams The Lamb will be the only light we need It's soothing walls of jasper built by hands unseen It's the land of life beyond the crystal sea It's the land of life where living is forever Where the sting of death will claim no victory We are nothing more than just a passing shadow 'Til we reach the land of living beyond the crystal sea. Beautiful song, Gerald Wolfe is a good friend of mine. A wonderful young Christian man, good singer also. They were lucky to have him join their group. I have enjoyed them very much. Thanks for posting this one.
This song was wrote by Ann Ballard. She sold the rights. I took my first steps in her house. She wrote plenty of gospel music, but she never sang any of it. This song was my PaPaws favorite! I remember singing Anns songs with her when I was a little girl.
I sang this song in my church service tonight ... and for someone to come to me after and say that they could feel my love for God through the song, it just makes me feel like I did exactly what God wanted me to do. This song, more than any other, is my all-time favorite in the world. Thank you Gerald Wolfe! You are amazing!
So glad I found this video...Attended a concert last night saw all 3 in different groups...Gerald with Greater Vision...Mark with The Mark Trammel Trio and then the concert opened with Danny Funderbuck doing some solo songs....A great Concert...
Yes, Gerald had surgery a few years back and though he says little about it, he has lost something vocally that I'm afraid he'll never get back. He's having to manufacture and place his tones in his head to keep some quality these days. But people forget, when he was a young man with the Cathedrals and the first several years with Greater Vision, Gerald Wolfe was a vocal phenomenon.
Gerald definitely had surgery. He wrote about it in the periodic emails he sends after there were so many questions. He saw the famous doctor in Atlanta who does so much work with singers. (Can't recall his name) Rodney may have had surgery as well at some time, I don't know.
L5Luver: Well, he is 23 in this video! You can't be much younger than that and still be considered an adult, can ya? This video is from 1987, so that means he was born in 1964. Makes him 54 in 2018. I love Gerald and am happy to know he'll be here for a good while longer.
I wasn't aware that Gerald ever sang Homeland. I've heard it many times, but with Roger Bennett singing lead. Searching for Cathedrals Homeland will turn it up, I'm sure.
Roger Bennett played with the the Cathedrals from 1980 to their retirement in 1999, but took a break from 1986-88. This break is where Gerald played with The Cathedrals.
My boy should be singing there…he is 20 and sings amazing and loves gaithers most importantly loves our Lord
He still has the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. When God sat him down on earth, he hit every branch of the talent tree on the way down.
This was one of the best groups to ever grace a stage.
Such a blessing!!! Have listened sooo many times and will never tire of such awesome praise to our God♥️♥️♥️
Gerald Wolfe has the most beautiful voice of anyone i have ever heard. 😊😊
Agreed. He's my favorite of all time. His voice just goes straight through your heart & drags you to Jesus. Hallelujah! He's a doll, too! LOL
Gerald, Danny & Mark - This may just be the BEST male trio I have ever heard (and I've heard a LOT of them). JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!!
Three all-timers.
I just never get tired of listening to this beautiful song, it renews the promise we have in our Lord Jesus Christ, that someday, we'll live in that land of living praising God forever along our loved ones who've gone before, AMEN !
Amen thanks be to God.
this is the sound that gerald wanted for greater vision.
wow... that "young" guy, is now old enough to be my father...

🕊 ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

Oh, it's more than any dream
It's the land of life beyond the crystal sea
It's the land of life where living is forever
Where the sting of death will claim no victory
We are nothing more than just a passing shadow
'Til we reach the land of living beyond the crystal sea
The sun is nothing but a legend in this paradise of dreams
The Lamb will be the only light we need
It's soothing walls of jasper built by hands unseen
It's the land of life beyond the crystal sea
It's the land of life where living is forever
Where the sting of death will claim no victory
We are nothing more than just a passing shadow

I want this song sang at my funeral.
Still a great song, after all these years. It encourages my heart!
This is a beautiful song and great voices I wish new singers could come out that sounds exactly like them need these sounds forever
Probably the best Gospel quartet ever

Are you sure about that? I thought it was Rodney that had a surgery in 2003.

Thank you for replying. I stand corrected.
Amen
Wow! I forgot how good he was back in his early years. He doesn't seem to sing with the same spirit anymore.
Thank you, adkinsda, for posting this wonderful video! (Boy! Does Gerald ever look YOUNG!! LOL!)

Now this brings back some wonderful memories! Thanks for adding it. I do hope whomever did Gerald's makeup got in trouble. LOL

Phillip Sexton
Impressive how he plays the piano and hardly ever looks at the keyboard.
Kim: and how about Gordon Mote?, he never looks at the keyboard! That's really impressive!
The Lord is leading him
